  1. Great fun at Knockhill yesterday. It was a SIDC 4 hour open pit lane event and the rain stayed off for the full 4 hours. There was a superb turn out of cars and NOT one red flag the whole day which exemplifies the very high standard of driving on the day. Bumped into Ewen and Rich from CMS who were having there own personal duel out on track and the smiles on there coupons said it all. My highlight had to be the "race" that I had with the Ferrari 458 Challenge. We were locking horns for 8 very hard laps (sub57s) and he just never got quite close enough for an overtaking manoeuvre. The 458 had the slight edge on the curves but the AWD of the 35 just pulled me out the corners and the 35 was also faster on the straights. Used 2 x tanks of fuel and did 120 laps. Is that not what the Easter Weekend is all about. And then a final attempt to try and get the edge over the old Datson.

    Wait until you are driving in earnest on track and you will find that the steering wheel shift paddles are so much easier. F1 and others can not be wrong. Nissan have learnt from there mistake and have rectified accordingly.
  4. Get them direct from Nissan your self or better still get CMS to do the leg work for you as they will probably have them in stock.

  8. Nice one Sam, it will get better and better once you start pushing on. Book your self some track time and let loose. Once you start experimenting with the settings, the fun will really begin. I am now at stage 4.5 after saying that this one was staying standard, I am so weak. Enjoy mate and congratulations.
  9. No, get yourself to a proper open pit lane track event, some of which will offer tuition, sometimes free, however best to get at least one track day under your belt before you think of tuition. Open pit lane track events can be as little as a 2 hour session up to a full day.
  10. As has been said matching tyres would be a good plan, and all at 35psi. MPSS are highly thought of. Book a track session and get to know the car and practice with the VDC on and off. If you are competent then you will soon be running with the VDC off every time, except when extreme weather conditions prevail.

  15. Friday: Service and track prep on the GT-R Sat: am. Open pit lane at Knockhill Racing Circuit. 9am - 1pm. Sat: pm. After track check, Dinner and then out on the lash. Sun: Service lawn mowers and then first cut of the grass this year. (5 lawns) (weather permitting) Sun: pm 40th. birthday party. Mon: Munro bagging.

  17. Gordon Shedden to edge it yet again for a hat trick of wins. He is quietly confident and very happy with the Honda during pre season practice. However it will be very close and extremely exciting.
  18. There are numerous reasons why a fuse will blow. At least you now know where the fuse is, so in the mean time carry a spare and a few tools.

    The current model have the shift paddles on the steering column which is a pain. Residual values on all previous models will not be effected.

    Love it, love it, love it. :throb: Just gets better each time. Hopefully the UK cars will have an interior option. Shift paddles on steering wheel is a win win. :drive1 With the old set up, shifting on high speed cornering was tricky.
  21. NO Heat and NO hammer please. Just make sure that you have a good allen key or socket. They will crack loose if sufficient pressure is applied. However I have seen a long allen key bend as they do tend to be tight.
  22. HEL have the OEM fitment too though? Perhaps now they do, however looking at the quality of there lines in the past, I would still give them a huge body swerve. What price is a life ?
