  4. So that you can negotiate the premium. Last time I looked my PC would not converse with me.
  5. Much depends on your location etc: I pay less than £1000.00 for 3 vehicles: R35 GT-R: 720bhp Fixed Value: 85K 350Z: 700bhp Fixed value: 50K Mitsubishi Shogun: 2014 Book value. These are all with Privilege on separate policies:: Give them a shout.
  6. Only Compare the Market can answer that one. Give them a ring for an informal chat:
  7. The wrong filter or faulty filter could cause under or over pressure. Pull the oil pressure switch and hook up an independent gauge direct to the block to get a true reading.
  8. How much oil did you put in ? Did you definitely fit the correct K&N filter ? What year, model and mileage ?
  9. If on recheck the oil pressure is still low or Zero, I would be inclined to advise you to go back to Jon at Emperor and excercise your warranty options. If the pressure is still Zero I see no point in pulling the box to check the timing problem as both faults are unrelated. I am at a loss to understand why a perfectly good engine can lose its oil pressure under these circumstances. Of course, you could always instruct some one else, to get a second opinion on the oil pressure, and perhaps Jon may be prepared to help you out with the cost of that. Let us know how the second oil pressure check goes with the existing repairing garage.
  10. Just had a long chat with the garage boss man on behalf of Pedro. The situation is that they now accept that the flywheel may have been fitted wrongly, however they are adamant that there is no oil pressure. They base that on the oil light not going out, and also a manual check with an independent gauge direct from the block. However he has agreed to get the car back on the ramp and carry out a further oil pressure check using another gauge, just in case his gauge is faulty. I found the guy I spoke to to be informed, helpful and quite willing to listen to my views.

  15. Battery terminals, earths, or starter motor leads or a starter motor issue, The starter motor is below the intake pipe and bolts to the engine and gearbox housing. If there is is a spark then it sounds like a bad connection in that area.
  16. VQ35DE ecu's in stock, Is your motor the early DE or the later Rev Up ? Alex.
  17. Bring it to me and guaranteed that I will tell what your rattle is within 30 seconds By the way I only charge by the hour and not by the second. Where are you based?

  20. Simples: If you are uncomfortable with the noise, then straight back to the dealership, it is there problem not yours. Ask for a courtesy car and leave your car with them until fixed.
  21. Do you mean Flywheel Alex? I know what you mean. Before I got into mechanics, my local garage ruined my200SX engine through stupidity, but because we had had a long relationship I still didn't want to name and shame. Infact, that was the reason I got into cars, so I could do my own engine work without relying on plonkers, and then somehow I ended up selling Nissan parts for a living lol. Yes, typo, meant flywheel: Sorted.
