Scarily enough, a lot of people do. They also believe what they read, hence all Audis have lifeless steering, all MX5s are brilliant etc. Depends on your definition of quicker. On the road there's nothing between them, Zed has more striaghtline grunt but the S2K weighs less so goes round corners better. I've only ever tracked both together one time, which was at Anglesey on the Coastal layout, and there wasn't anything between them. Zed perhaps had better lateral grip, but the S2K was more fun by a fair bit. I tracked my Zed ragtop a fair bit though across UK and Euro circuits, and enjoyed them all. Zeds slide very well, loads of low down torque to overcome the resistance of the tyres y'see.

The S2K is the more fun car on track, due to the revvy engine. That same engine could be a bit tiring on roads, unless you're prepared to wring its neck. Neither interior is great, the S2K is much more snug though. If you're drifting I'd get the Zed, if you're tracking I'd pick an S2K. Both are fantastic and I'd be happy with either, but you need to drive both and see which you prefer.

Any of them, really. Just pick the one you like the look of the most, there's precious little to choose between them.

Seen a few about now, have yet to drive one though. Must remedy that soon... Front is too gaping, rear is stunning, inside is a disappointment, noise is to die for, price is an absolute joke.

And a tad thirstier on fuel too! If fuel wasn't daft then I actually would seriously consider one, but it just wouldn't make sense right now.

Trouble is, I really like it It's as comfy as a BMW but doesn't attract the tax, and I do on occasion go off-road for site work so that side of it is handy to have, along with the load carrying capacity. It's sooo much quicker than the rivals too due to the bigger engine as well as being cheaper, so win/win really. Well, apart from the delivery date.

Oh that's the best bit: At no point have they contacted me to let me know of any delay, it's all been via email and me chasing them. I'm yet to contact them over this last bit, as I'm torn between telling them to get f*cked and telling them I want some free stuff. Probably both!

Ford clearly either have too much money and no longer need to sell vehicles, or they are trying to position themselves above the premium sports car manufacturers. For example: Lead time from ordering Porsche 991 GT3 - 8 months Lamborghini Aventador - 12 mths Ford Ranger - 15 mths Yes, that's not a misprint. Ford are currently telling me that my new Ranger, which I ordered back in September, is now going to be with them in December! That's 15 months at least from order point to delivery. Considering that I was told it would be here in Dec '12/ Jan '13 when I put the deposit down, you can understand me being a little miffed. Actually, that's an understatement. What kind of a clusterf*ck car manufacturer cannot build a simple f*cking thing like a bloody pick up truck in a basic colour like f*cking black within a year??!! Which useless thunderc*nt at Ford said, "Ah, don't worry, I'm pretty sure all these commercial customers that spend thousands of pounds with us each year buying Transits will happily wait over a year for a simple pickup!" What an absolute shower of b*stards. If it were a f*cking Ferrari that I'd ordered in f*cking paint to sample with some magic f*cking seats that blow you every time you cruise along the Kings f*cking Road then I may understand waiting longer than a f*cking year for it, but a Ford? Fun cars, but thirsty as hell. If that's not a consideration, then it would be the car I'd buy over a VAG or GM product.

Heh, I wrote 24 hours first of all but I never stick to that rule myself, overnight is long enough to wait for me!

Should really leave the first coat overnight, assuming you can leave the car in a garage or summat. Looks great though, just stick with the one coat next time

I have no problem with that. I'm more pi**ed off by the taxing of a tax on the cost of fuel, what the petrol companies make is peanuts.

Pirelli aren't the problem, it's purely down to the teams. They had these tyres to work with during the close season tests, and some of them just cannot get them to work for them full stop. Pirelli have done exactly what they were told to do.

I suspect it feels better because all four wheels are now set with regards to each other, as Mark is right in saying that toe-in will increase high speed stability but reduce turn in.

Not so, there was a set of times posted from 2011 where Vettel won doing a four stop strategy, and his times were the same as Alcocko this year.

I hate roadsters with spoilers. That, however, looks very nice! Shouldn't work (and it's a bit iffy with the roof up), but with the top down that looks fantastic! Great stuff
