  1. Going quicker = more energy to dissipate when you come to the splat = more people/vehicles/buildings you can take out and they need to pay for Also, more bits means your car is more likely to be targetted for stealing.
  2. Does it matter if it is? Surely the Zed is a better package and handles significantly better than the S14?
  3. What? What difference would it make if they read this or not? As it stands, I'd assume you're not covered for anything not listed on the paperwork on the basis that phone calls can be lost. Given that, it's irrelevant whether they see this thread or not. Personally, I can't believe that Admiral would cover you for everything supercharger related and the massive power increase that goes with it for free. What did they say when you called them again yesterday to ask for everything in writing again?
  4. Nothing stopping you at all. You can record any conversation you like, as long as it's for your own uses. If I had an accident these days, the first thing I would do is whip out the old JesusPhone and set the video to record.
  5. He went back for seconds
  6. Million times better matey Now just get rid of that awful steering wheel too
  7. Blimey, looks like I shouldn't have said anything! It's the real world kids, let's not pretend otherwise. If random bloke offers to buy something off you but your best mate offers exactly the same thing, who are you going to go with? Exactly. Same thing here, I make no apologies for saying otherwise. That said, when I sold all the various bits off my Zed they went to the first people to put hard cash in my account (figuratively speaking), not just mates on here.
  8. In writing. In writing. In writing. Everything. Don't give up until you get it. We had to do the same with Admiral and the PPP on the Impreza. Frustrating, but ultimately worth doing to cover your own arse.
  9. For clarity, I didn't mean that I'd want an auction-style sale. What I meant was, if the item was up for £10 +P&P and Person 1 offers me £10 flat which I would actually take, but person 2 offers me £10 +P&P then I'd take the latter, even if they weren't quite there first.
  10. Neither. It's whoever the seller wants to sell to. I'd sell to the person who offered me more, or the person I feel is more likely to pay. For example, I'd rather sell to you Ian than random bloke, even if they technically got there first. If you must have an answer out of me, all else being equal then I'd sell to the person who actually PM'd first.

    BMW Z4

Which Z4? E85 or E89? I can tell you a well-driven E85 3L can keep up with a poorly driven VXR220 on a tight track Mate of mine has just bought a Z4M ragtop, lovely car and that engine is to die for.
  12. Not full version, no. Not sure if something like Adblock could be used to block all images and just give you text, or if it downloads it first and then blocks it.
  13. You could have said something really awesome, like a 0-60 of 3.2 secs and a top speed of 204 mph, they'd probably have printed that too
  14. Surely no-one with any brains at all takes anything What Car? says seriously these days, do they?
  15. I don't get the necessity to own a rare car. I couldn't give a toss if I was the only person in the world to have one or everybody had one, I just buy the car that's right for me. How many may or may not exist of a particular model is irrelevant, unless I'm buying a car for an investment.
  16. Ring insurer, tell them you're fitting decats, let them decide what it goes under.
  17. Search button is at the top of the forum. Have a practice, you'll soon pick it up
  18. For the record, I'm six years older than you. I always thought you were like 20, 22 max.
  19. Wimps I'd like to take my brother's Cayman R to a Vmax day, just see how close it is to my 911. The Impreza would be good fun too, but the gearing is so short I've no doubt we'd hit the limiter in that.
  20. No doubt there's more skill than the simplistic view of it I gave, but it's still about as basic a version of motorsport as you can get. I reckon once you get onto the silly power things of 800bhp and up then it probably does get quite interesting from a driving perspective, but I just can't see the thrill of doing it in a normal car. Hell, even when I did Vmax in the 911 the fun was from seeing how big your balls were by getting the highest top speed before braking, and not from the actual driving bit. Granted, that was auto over manual, but I just don't think that straight line stuff is for me in normal cars. Soz.
  21. Nah, you'd be fine with anything this side of sandpaper really.
  22. Worst part of that pic is that I know exactly where that shop is, I've been to the mall there a good few times
