  1. Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors. Check and triple check, and as long as you drive it like a fast country road you'll be fine. Also, don't eat the food there, it's a bit crap!
  2. Should be fine, the Ring isn't traditionally very hard on brakes, as with evrrything it's just a case of being a bit sympathetic if needs be.
  3. That's the thing, you can't get insurance for a tourist day, only a track day. Luke, how hot was it when you had the brake fade? When my brakes went when I was there a few years back it was absolutely sweltering, and that was with Brembos and a full PF setup.
  4. Kinda my point, you're not insured on it which is why I won't do tourist days. Fair play if you're happy to risk it though, I'm just not that brave.
  5. Sounds like fun, looking forward to the videos Were you not worried about the insurance side of things?
  6. Be careful which ones you buy, EU use different frequencies to the UK and it's very naughty to be using the wrong frequencies out there. I don't have the details to hand, but I'm sure a quick Google will bring them up.
  7. Whichever is cheaper, I'd say there's nothing in it. If it were my money though, K&N.

    P3 Service?

5 years old, I'd definitely do the plugs.
  9. You ain't kidding, these next 1.5 days of work are going to drag like buggery.

  11. 2 Days To Go Clean car is clean! Check out the metallic flake baby! Since it's going to bucket down tomorrow when I take her to get the geo done, that's also the cleanest she'll be for the next fortnight Have also packed most of what I need to take barring clothes, so I think I'm set.
  12. Easy one. RE050A have less grip than MPSS. You're driving like you've still got MPSS on, which you haven't, so when you're putting the power down there's less grip available and you're spinning the rears up or otherwise making them slip/slide. Either that, or a sensor has been damaged when changing the tyres.
  13. Excellent job matey
  14. You either need to do a bit of soldering with the Bose hack (see the guide in the ICE section) or replace the whole head unit (better idea, guides are also in the ICE section).
  15. How much wear on the fronts?
  16. Find the car you want, then buy it then and there. I don't buy into this whole time of day/month/year nonsense, I just find a car I want at a price I'm happy paying and go from there. Saving a couple of hundred quid is nothing over the lifetime of the car, and I'd rather get the one I want rather than one I find okay. Of course, some people get really lucky and get both, never happened to me yet though!
  17. Any reason you didn't put the amazing MPSS back on the rear? They're the same price as the RE050A. But yeah, mixed tyres. And I wasn't even the first one to say it this time!
  18. If you're doing the clutch, do the lightened flywheel too. It's a no brainer, it really is.

    Well, it would drive better
  20. 5w40 would be my choice I think, you don't really want to raise the cold weight as much as make it a bit thicker when very warm due to the extra power. Your man from Opie Oils would be a good person to speak to on this, I'd drop oilman a line or post in their section if I were you.
  21. Nope, never. Torque helps if you want to do this, but at the expense of your clutch.

    Rush

Hussy CGI looks a bit naff, but I still can't wait to see this, it's going to be ace
  23. As long as the gauge is somewhere between zero and whatever the max is, and you've checked the oil level is correct in the engine, it'll be fine.
