  1. Interestingly I've seen a lot more people say that they're going to buy the PS4 than the XB1, but more folks have actually put their money where their mouth is and pre-ordered the Xbox. I've also noticed that the XB1 threads on various forums are aroubnd 10x bigger than the PS4 threads. Granted, it's mostly complaining, but how does the saying about publicity go again?
  2. Do it! Take the Zed, would be my first bit of advice. Whilst hiring an AMG or similar car would be fun, you'll want something nimble on those mountains to make the most of them. Get a good geo before you go to get all the understeer dialled out and you'll have a blast. As above, do the Lambo, Ferrari and Pagani tours if you can, they're all pretty close to each other so would seem a shame not to. A combination of Expedia and Trip Advisor is a good way to pick hotels, I didn't get a crap one at all on my trip. For me, things like wifi and free parking were a must, and Expedia does mention if it has those. Choose your time to go carefully. Go too soon and the passes will still be closed (some are still closed today for this year), go too late and they'll be heaving with traffic and you'll hate it.
  3. You make it sound like the 2.0 is a fire breathing monster! Good choice, lighter up front too
  4. Pray tell .... why ? General consensus from the experts after keeping my eye on the market for a couple of years. 3.4 with the fried egg lights is looking better as a design as time goes on, but the 4S gains the Turbo look with solid 4wd for cheaps.
  5. Makes one half of naff all difference which one you go for. Cosworth would be my choice, but any name brand will do.
  6. Much like the way the Meriva and Zafira killed the VXR brand.
  7. 996 3.4 or 4S. Either of those, kept as standard as possible so no aero kit, can only go one way. Zed won't, unlikely the BMWs will either.
  8. Complete mess of a design. No coherency at all.
  9. All cool kids have an MX-5 1.8 or 2.0?
  10. Ask yourself this: Why would the price of a defunct console go up the closer it gets to the launch of the successor?
  11. You're worried about parts costs but are considering an M3? 986 2.7 stripped out for £5K, gives you £5K for go faster bits/repairs.
  12. Lol they would say that! Everyone will do the same, so they'll have loads of consoles to sell and will need to buy them cheap to ensure they don't lose out. I mean, clearly it's a well known fact that when a new console is released, everyone buys the old one.
  13. Superb car. We briefly looked at them but Jo's not so keen sadly. On the subject, am I the only person who didn't know that Dacia was pronounced Datcher until I saw the TV ad?
  14. Welcome to the dark side I ordered mine yesterday, too. No games yet as I don't know which will be day one games, but certainly Forza, DR3 and Quantum Break are high on the list.
  15. Forget TT for track, dull and pointless. Tracking the Zed would be better IMHO. If you're not doing a massive commute, Elise or VXT is a no-brainer. Perfect for track out of the box, plenty of tuning option later down the line.
  16. I'd rather pay £300 than put those on. Sorry Sam!
  17. There must be a set of second hand lights out there. ZmanAlex?

    What a car!!!

Not that much quicker, but a better drive. Better noise too, with the right intake.
  19. Please don't do that to your car

    What a car!!!

Mate of mine bought a red one a few months back, lovely looking car. Interior is a bit dated now, but still a very talented machine and a bargain right now.
  21. You can ask the DVLA, if you have a good reason. It'll cost you about a tenner IIRC, and unless you're a parking charge company they'll pretty much say no, but that is the only legal way.
  22. I used to love everything and anything modified, but these days I;d much rather see a sympathetically adjusted car than one wiv massive speekahs and wikid spoilers and dayum cold air intake innit bruv attached to it.
  23. I disagree. There's many, many people out there (some on here) who have the ability to buy the supercar, but still chose to but something more normal. Just because you have a ton of money doesn't mean you feel the need to go and spend it on the best thing possible. Sure, I bet the choice is nice to have whether you buy a 458 or a Focus ST, but not every person in that position will choose the Ferrari.
  24. Part of the £100K cost is the suspension, chassis and steering, things you can very much make use of on the roads. Power is nothing without control.
