Don't use a car cover unless the car is washed everytime before you put it on: You'll scratch the paint something horrendous. Inside a garage is always safer than outside. Extra VED is peanuts in the grand scheme of things, it's only an extra pint of beer a week or three tanks of fuel over a year. Even if they were new, why should Nissan fix it? They were installed on a non-OEM application, it's the spacer at fault not the nuts I think.
