  2. Why would you do 60 on a motorway in a car? Must admit, I'd rather do the commute in a fun car than a boring one, but it doesn't make financial sense at all.
  3. Only a lock screen bug, and adds Greek keyboard support. Bit rubbish, really.
  4. So you disagree with me about the cars, yet haven't driven 2/3rds of the ones I mention. Man, I wish I could do car reviews from the comfort of my couch, would make life so much easier. I appreciate the comparison between myself and Harris though, thanks. I do like his style of writing, and I guess that probably shows in my own at times. I enjoy writing about cars, and occasionally I get some positive comments on those pieces from others on here about them, but you can't please everyone. Everyone else has given their opinion on the cars, like I did, and yet you didn't feel the need to criticise them. If you could point me to the part of my post where I say that everyone else is wrong and that my opinion is the only one that matters, that would be great. Both the Evora and the 911 are 2+2s, just like the GTR. The seats in the GTR are slightly more useful than the other two, but then I wouldn't be the person sitting in the back in any of them so I didn't really feel that was a pertinent point to pick up on. I guess if the OP had asked "Which car would you choose out of the Evora S and the GTR, and seat space in the rear is the priority?", then I'd have given a different answer. The boot space of the GTR is approx 250L, the Evora 160L, and the 911 135L. Again, I didn't realise that practicality was an important consideration for the OP, else I'd have put the GTR ahead. As it stands, and if it was my £50K, I'd pick the Evora S as it would suit me better. Both cars are stunning in their own right, and both have some glaring issues that has stopped me buying one, but I would pick the Lotus. I'm sorry that offends you so much. Now, let's see your objective comparison between the two cars mentioned before you carry on criticising mine, shall we?
  5. Anyone else done that mission with Trevor yet? Any thoughts on it?
  6. So what would like me to have said? And what did you disagree with exactly? What did you think of the cars when you drove them?

I've not tried a manual, and the DCT version I bought for 24 hours just wasn't that exciting for some odd reason. 400bhp, V8, well built, good looking, but still didn't float my boat. I have no idea why.
  8. Goddammit you stole my line
  9. Or give him to me and I'll rag the arse off him every chance I get, just like every good Zed deserves Yeah, best give him to Hugh I reckon.
  10. The Spyder is one of the few P-cars I've left to drive, if it's anything like my bro's CR then I bet it was a hoot at Spa.
  11. What 911 do you have man ?? Don't be quoting me selectively, you cheeky boy! I meant that the Evora suspension is light years ahead of my C2S, even though the 911 PASM suspension is already very, very good.
  12. Yeah you do, it's just minimised. You cannot run a turbo with zero lag, unless you break the laws of physics Twin charging is a cracking idea though, very easy to do if you're going rear-mount turbo.

At least you can hear the M3, better than the wheezy exhaust on the 350
  14. No worries fella, any time

Erm, it does though. Stock for stock, or modified for modified, the straight-six beats the V6 i reckon.
  16. Sorry, you must've taken my post the wrong way. I genuinely didn't realise they were common sizes for drifters, nor that drifters could get their sponsors to get the tyres made up for them. Apologies if it came out differently. It definitely is that kind of forum though!
  17. Fair enough. However, and with all due respect, I would look into this a lot more before you commit to this project, as there's plenty more there you'll need like the intercooler, ECU, oil supply for the turbo (assuming you go for an oiled one), as well as the fueling side you mention. Don't forget you'll also need to do the brakes and tyres too, if you haven't already. Have a read of the other turbo threads on here, as apart from the location of the turbo itself being different for you you'll need everything else a normal install will. Good luck, I always like to see folks fabbing pipework and stuff up for their own cars.
  18. I didn't realise they were pro drifter-specific sizes, nor that pro drifters can get tyres made to their spec. Handy to know.
  19. Were the 17" wheels lighter then?

    Best tyres

It's like we're secret long lost brothers or something these days I knew I'd convert you eventually
  21. Rich will be able to give you more on this one, but when I looked into getting one I was disturbed to see that the running costs between Stook and Zed were identical. You can get a decent S2K for £5K, however you'll have to be a bit lucky as some will have been owned by cretins (but then, some Zeds have too now they're cheap). If cost-saving is your reason to change then I wouldn't bother, but if you just fancy something different then go for it
  22. You do now have to pay private parking companies, so long as they've followed a few basic rules. Parking Eye are now actively taking people to court, too.
  23. Neither, however that's not what you asked. Both are quite ugly cars from the B pillar back and have awful interiors, but only one of them has suspension that is to die for and feedback that is extraordinary. As such, I'd have the Lotus. If outright pace is your thrill then the GT-R is the obvious winner, however if you enjoy a more satisfying driving experience then the Evora/S is better by far. The Evora is the only car I've driven that made me think the suspension in my 911 is utter garbage. It's not, but the Evora is that good.
  24. No. As long as the repair is of satisfactory quality and is completed within a reasonable amount of time, then that's all they have to do. They may choose to refund you, but they do not have to. Satisfactory quality should mean that everything works and it looks good, and reasonable amount of time could be up to two weeks if it's something major, otherwise one week should be enough. Of course, if they needed a special part to repair and it was on back order of a month, then that would then be seen to be reasonable as you wouldn't be able to get the repair done quicker anywhere else.
  25. Doesn't matter at all, you used the car as consideration + money in exchange for goods. You will get the value of your purchase back, your old car is their problem. Of course, they may just fix it now yo' gettin' legal on their ass, which is their legal right to do so, and I suspect what you'd prefer.
