  1. It's for the first 90 days of ownership, I'm not surprised most things scored highly Pointless survey is pointless.
  2. On a side note, and this is wholly unprofessional and the wrong way to do it, but I normally just do the plugs up using my left hand directly above the socket. That's my weaker hand, and it gives enough torque to seal without going overboard. Like I say, not the done thing I know, but it's never failed me across many different cars and many different plug changes.
  3. "Do not shock the spark plug" *thinks* *pulls plug out of box* *looks at it* *holds it close to face* *yells "BOO!" as loudly as possible* *giggles to self childishly*
  4. That will buy him my 911. I know I'm biased, but that's a better car than anything else mentioned (excluding GTR maybe, but that won't get 35mpg on a run). Am more than happy to chat to him about it if he wants.
  5. Crappitty crap-crap. I went through three different options including a tape adaptor, an FM transmitter and a CD changer thing that didn't fit before I did the sensible thing and just replaced the head unit.
  6. Regardless of Milner's talent, you never see him put in less than 100%, I'll give him that.
  7. 5 to 6
  8. Good lord man, it's not been the Premiership for years! England have always had good individuals, but rarely have we ever been able to put together a decent team. Managers are always picking players based on name, not on form. That pressure comes from the FA, who have nice fat sponsorship deals lined up involving Rooney, Gerrard et al. No-one wants to pay to support a team consisting of Lallana and Lambert.
  9. People do that anyway during boring SC intervals. They don't seem to have too many issues with starting up again during qualy.
  10. Look at the bench for the semi in 1990: Woods, Dorigo, McMahon, Steven, Bull. That's hardly screaming quality there, I'd say we're better off now than then.
  11. Look at the money involved. Insane figures. Tbh it's too busy now, and that's part of the reason I don't go any more. If they just reduced the amount but increased the cost per ticket, I'd go again. Quality over quantity and all that.
  12. I like the standing restart idea. They all bunch up again after a SC, so why **** fuel and tyres away? Will certainly help those drivers who make quick getaways.
  13. I'm with Dave, I blame the FA. If they'd handled the JT thing differently, we'd have had our best defender on the pitch. JT with Cahill would've been immense.
  14. I don't think money is the problem. Sure, maybe when playing away at Hartlepool in the league cup on a freezing November evening then you might just go through the motions, but let's not forget that each and every one of those players is an England fan first and foremost. There is no greater honour than playing for your country, much less playing in a World Cup, so to think that none of those lads were hurting this morning isn't really fair. Apart from Rooney, Suarez is probably the best paid player on the pitch, but he seemed okay with it. Look at the Italians, or the Germans, or even the Brazilian team: They are ALL on mega bucks. Let's not even start with Ronaldo and Messi... Money isn't the issue, it's poor management with no plan B, and a culture of fear. They are so terrified of losing that they won't commit, rather be branded lacking effort than being the guy on the back page for weeks because you made one tiny mistake.
  15. This was the first England game I've watched for a couple of years, since Italy in the last Euros I think. I think I shall go back to watching Braintree Town. At least I know they're shite, and don't expect anything much!
  16. I can't have imagined Redknapp sitting there, stony faced.
  17. What bothers me is not the fact we've lost two games on the bounce. Nor that our team is desperately lacking something. Nor even that some of the players look lost out there. No, it's that nothing will change. We'll all go home, Woy will keep his job, he'll carry on picking the same players in the same system as we stumble through to Euro 2016, where we'll fall woefully short again. Someone at the FA needs to have the balls to get this mediocre shambles sorted: Bin off the manager who has no exciting bones in his body, bin off the players who are too old or who simply don't perform in an England shirt (Gerrard, Lamps, Rooney, Johnson) and bring in the youngsters NOW. Let's have a crap Euro 2016, but let's get the players in for the future. Did Germany no harm at all. Let's sort out the youth system, let's make the big teams play their reserve teams in the lower leagues so long as they play X% of English players in there, let's do something PRO-ACTIVE to stop the rot. Let's not just bumble along any more. Even if the 'new ideas' don't work, at least we bloody well tried. If we're going to stick with Rooney, then let's at least play him wherever he wants. If that gets the best out of him, then that's fine. Let's not just stick with him and play him anywhere because he's a bit of a tryer, bless him.
  18. They're fine in the wet.
  19. 12 track days a year? R888s, no question. If you were doing maybe 3-4 a year, I'd say go with the MPSS, but with that many you'd be crazy not to run track-specific rubber.
  20. Sorry, that post came across as really aggressive, my apologies. Appreciate your viewpoint from someone inside the business, just getting frustrated for Russ. Again, sorry mate.
  21. Also, I would argue your point is wrong too. What if I insure my car, then on the first day I break my leg? Recovery time is 11mths, but I will get better. Would they be able to concel the policy then? Or how about I insure the car but choose not to ever drive it, because it needs work or because I have another car instead?
  22. That's fine, if that's in the policy documents I have no issue with that. What they cannot do is cancel cover because you've been disqualified, when you haven't actually been disqualified.
  23. Each to their own, good post
  24. Yeah, hotels book up 1-2 years in advance round there. Must be somewhere closer than 40mi though, even a B&B?
  25. 2-0 Uruguay. Or a dull 0-0 snore fest, because both teams are terrified to lose.
