  1. English football is very good. It's the England national team that's gash.
  2. On a related note, I did a survey a few years back asking whether people bought their Zed mainly for the looks or for the drive, and the majority said for the looks. I found that odd.
  3. Video, with captions! So, so frustrating. Why he was moving over for other stuff but not me, I've no idea. Anyway, I was looking back over older vids today, and I found one of me on the same track layout but in my old VXR220. 260bhp, 280lb/ft, 800kgs, A048s. Unsurprisingly I was about 4-5 secs a lap slower than that on Saturday, and yet my cornering speeds were actually higher in the MR2! Very surprising, and it's nice to know that my driving clearly has come on in the last few years. Still nowhere close to where I'd like to be, but I do enjoy driving slow cars to their limits. Sadly the RX8 that my mate took decided to have a seized caliper early doors, so we didn't get a proper run out in that. One of the pitfalls of running track sheds on a budget, I guess.
  4. I was shockingly poor at Flashback, I don't ever want to subject myself to that kind of humiliation again
  5. Yay, congrats Andrew & Fran! Hope you both had a great day, and know exactly what you want from your next wedding
  6. The 200 is the better version, but the 197 is still ace.
  7. I think they got the looks of the Corsa VXR spot-on, I've said that before. Looks great to my eyes. I wouldn't get one over the equivalent Clio though, it's just a much better car in every other area. May not be turbo, but it's a better drive.
  8. But all those words are spelt correctly
  9. You're just cursed
  10. Again, we're back to the fact that whilst a car may be quicker in a straight line, it doesn't make it better. A 350Z will murder an R33 GTST round the corners, as well it should: It's a much newer chassis design.
  11. When he's not injured, of course.
  12. Truth Tablets
  13. A 2000 3 series will likely be more reliable than a 2005 Clio
  14. Why '05?
  15. 2.5 is not a patch on the 2.0 cars, especially the ones with the PPP. Our one revved to well over 7k with power not tailing off at all We drove the 2.5 as well and were to massively impressed. The hatch STi was quite good in 330S form in Sport Sharp mode. How does the new interior stack up? Not even seen a new one on the roads yet.
  16. Assuming you don't mind being stuck with an unsalable car in the future, and budget accordingly, then go for it. As long as all repairs were done correctly, no reason not to. Hell, you could even look for cat Bs or As if you really wanted.
  17. Scirocco will be easier to drive in the twisties, but better? I have my doubts.
  18. Yawnsville. His duet with Taylor Swift was good, but that's it.
  19. Quite busy, yeah. Haven't been with Circuit Days for a few years after a bad experience, and whilst they're still not as good as BaT, it was better than expected. Still some numpties, but now I'm in the car worth peanuts I don't mind so much if they drive into me
  20. Awesome car was awesome at a Anglesey Vid to come when I get home, but let's just say that a 360CS was no match for the mighty MR2 track pig
  21. Hot Clios are ace. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. I still wouldn't buy one as my fun car, but that doesn't make them anything other than brilliant.

    Clutch ?

Slave and/or master cylinder. Do yourself a favour and replace both: Yes, it's usually just the slave, but the cost of the extra part is peanuts compared to the cost and time of bleeding the system through. You really don't want to be doing that twice if you can help it... /VOE
  23. Yeah, I guess I'm a bit accident prone sometimes.
  24. 3 times The staff in H.Samuel know me by first name now
