  1. What's the autobox like on the 335? In manual mode, particularly.
  2. Hasn't the OP got a 2 door? He said he has an E92. Although Gangzoom clearly has a saloon from his pics, so let's consider that one answered
  3. Did they even do a 335i saloon?
  4. Excellent reply, thanks matey I knew there had to be more to it, I just couldn't get my head around it this early in the week!
  5. Why do some drifters put wings on their cars? Circuit racing I get, as you want the downforce. My line of thinking is that you actually want the rear to be as light as possible to get it mobile & sliding, so extra weight or downforce at that point is the opposite of what you actually need. Do the wings on drift cars serve any purpose, or is it just for show? Genuine question, promise.
  6. Oh I agree, in those cases it's much easier to nip by when you have the length but not the width (fnar).
  7. In theory, it's better when cyclists ride side by side instead of in a line as it makes them easier to overtake. It's like overtaking one car instead of two.
  8. Don't take this the wrong way, but then what makes you think that people want to hear your thoughts? Not a dig at all, I personally like reading your posts, but you need to figure out what you want to talk about. If it's general everything then I'm afraid you're on a loser there I suspect, as that's what social media is for these days. If it's a specific subject then great, but how are you going to attract visitors? If people can't feedback to you then they're going to find it hard to connect, and then no-one will bother viewing. If it's just to use as an online diary of sorts, where you can just chat about the day in general and you don't really care if any one reads it or not, then I agree that turning off comments is a good idea. Ultimately, if you want to engage your audience then you're going to have to engage with your audience.
  9. 0-60 is for pubs and willy waving contests. It has no practical place in the real world. If all that mattered was performance, then we'd all be knocking round in either Imprezas or Caterhams. As tempting as that is, I'm glad there's more to driving than that.
  10. It's why insurance is so expensive for newly qualified drivers. I had some close calls after I passed, luckily more with walls than other cars...!
  11. Toyo R888s are not crap .
  12. Then you haven't Ditch the pads for DS2500, and definitely get rid of those horrible tyres! Either go 888 or MPSS, and then change the suspension for something adjustable if you still have cash left over. I'd also recommend a track-biased geo from someone who knows what they're doing, if you haven't already. If you can't stomach all that, then £500 on driver training will have you going much faster than an extra 10bhp will
  13. That'll be the R56 cars then, I believe. Standard tin top?
  14. Have you already done the brakes, tyres, wheels & suspension?
  15. Why do you think you need more power?
  16. Well, that's good. Then he will have your message and you won't need to keep posting in here
  17. If conditions are good, then there is no reason not to drive at the limit. To not do so is discourteous driving IMHO. @Zeus: Sounds like speed had very little to do with the accident, if he didn't even brake. Again though, it's going to go down as a speed-related accident and just add to the stats, which is a shame. Glad you're okay though now, that must've been horrendous.

    Why oh why

The ND '5 will be available as a tintop in a year or two. Boxster and TT sell bucket loads with soft tops.
  19. Sorry, but I just don't see it. I've said before that I prefer a pretty game to one that chases 60fps every time. 30 is plenty for me. Perhaps I could see the difference between them if it was the same game running side by side, but different games on the same engine back to back? Nope. Nowt between 900 and 1080 either, I don't sit that close to my telly.
  20. Need? Nah, probably not. I wouldn't get one without though. I use my Kinect so much, and when it works it's wonderful. Doesn't matter who fire it up, it'll recognise either me or Jo and show the appropriate set of tiles. Being able to control media playback without having to dig out the controller (I don't have a remote) is stunningly simple, and I would say worth the cost alone. Kinect Fitness is brilliant with it, as you can see what it's recognising in terms of body structure and gets you to improve your posture during exercises. I'm not tired of powering up or down by voice either! In terms of games though, don't bother as it's simply too poorly supported to be worth it for that alone.
  21. I wouldn't hang around, put it that way.
