That's why I put it with a turbo lump, as that way at least it'd be tuneable up to about 270bhp with ease. Better value for money that way

There could be a market there, certainly. £25K, 200bhp from a turbo lump, don't go overboard on tech to keep the weight down, that could certainly steal MX5 sales.

350bhp would've put it against the Boxster/Cayman, and there's no way it's winning that fight. Sadly, the big guys really have most of the market sown up right now in terms of stuff that's desirable by the mass market.

I still don't see that as a major draw, I really don't. Same as the GTR for more money, same as the R8 for the same money but a more boring soundtrack.

The i8 is nothing like the NSX. The i8 is highly desirable, for one. If Honda is making cars with the U.S. market first and foremost in their minds, then they're not a car company I want to buy a halo product from.
