  1. Dude, this is going to be AMAZEBALLS. I think I'm nearly as excited as you!
  2. And they certainly don't want a Honda.
  3. If it came in at £80K, then I'd have a GT-R if I wanted a fast Jap.
  4. Unless it's a leap year, and you have far more faith in government systems to be able to figure that out than I do if you think that's reasonable
  5. Over an Audi R8 V10? Or any number of lightly used proper supercars from Italy? I dunno, I just don't think I could do it. It would have to be something truly inspirational to drive to make me consider it.
  6. So if you had £120K (ish), you'd buy the NSX? I wouldn't. It wouldn't even feature on my radar on stuff to buy at that price bracket.
  7. Nowt wrong with a Beemer mate, pop a post up anyway
  8. so am I Well, you are a pair of tits Sorry, too easy!
  9. No. I haven't mentioned it... Ooooooh exciting, get a thread up!
  10. New BMW? Did I miss something?
  11. Bookatrack are the best company I've ever used. Premium prices, but loads of track time and things like free tea and coffee all day really helps. Plus that's where all the really nice cars go, so you get to see some exotic stuff too.
  12. Great reply, very well put and I totally get what you mean. Thanks for that mate
  13. Then get it sprayed. Much better finish, will last longer, look better etc.
  14. Me too Group buy on flights and park tickets?
  15. I can promise you that £2K of MR2 + £2k of turbo is a serious track weapon. Loads of room for big guys, too. You do look like a hairdresser when you rock up at the briefing, though.
  16. I personally don't do wraps. I've yet to see a single one done to the point of "Wow, looks like paint!". There's always a join, or a leading edge, or a bit missed like under the bonnet or the engine bay. Colour should be the least important bit of a car. And yes, I'm aware of the irony of me saying that after all my anti-Resale Grey/Silver posts on here. True, though.
  17. Brilliant, isn't it? I love how it's all go, no show. No messing around, just make stuff work and go fast.
  18. I must've missed those days. Easy done, I guess. Congrats Will, this place wouldn't be the same without you mate
  19. Buy car of any colour as cheap as you can, strap turbos to it, go fast enough that colour doesn't matter.
  20. I nearly posted it in that thread
  21. ...then do it like this guy: HOLY CRAP Er, yeah. That's ace, that is.
  22. I knew someone would say that! Like I said, I really enjoyed our old Impreza, but it wasn't my car so I didn't really drive it that much, hence the straight line and huge amount of grip was always a riot.
  23. Hot Rods pretty much died out years ago (in terms of the number of cars being made in the 20s to 40s style), so these societies have had to make things up as they go along to be able to stay in business. They HAD to change what a hot rod was, else they'd have been signing their own P45. Whether they agreed with that or not. Adapt or die. I know what I consider to be a hot rod, and if that conflicts with an official body that has changed drastically over the years then so be it.
  24. Yeah, no way I'd have been fitting them. They should have been left with KF.
