Thank you Mr Stevo

Can I just pick your brains on this Colin? I appreciate it's only very early days with the car so probably not a question that you can even answer really, but do you find having all that grip with no drama boring? I don't actually mean boring, I mean a word that's a bit softer than boring as clearly a car with that much pace isn't going to be boring, but you know what I mean hopefully! What I'm getting at I think is whether a car that has a massive amount of grip and is ultimately incredibly quick is as rewarding as one with lower limits you can exploit at lower speeds. I know how much you appreciated the handling on all your Zeds, so I think you're ideally placed to comment on this. I'm not entirely sure where I sit myself, as I've had both ends of the spectrum in recent years with the Impreza and the MX5, and I don't really know which one was 'best'. Do you worry about it getting a trifle dull (again, not dull!) owning something where you have to be going a silly speed to be able to fully exploit a decent chassis, or is the ability to go round any corner at any speed enough? Sorry if that's coming off as insulting at all, I really don't mean it to as I really like the car, I'm more coming from a philosophical viewpoint than anything.

Can someone please change the title of this thread, it's doing my head in

This is very simple. Whatever is going on internally between Kwik Fit and their fitter has nothing to do with you. Do not get involved, do not pass go, do not collect £200 etc. Your contract was with Kwik Fit, and any damages you feel are due should be paid by Kwik Fit, end of story. Write a letter explaining what happened on the day, and what you require as recompense. Keep it factual, don't put in the bits about the other guy promising to pay you but it didn't happen as it's completely irrelevant. A couple of paragraphs should do, and then take it down to them (or post it signed for with proof of signature). Give them seven days to come up with something suitable, or you'll take them to SCC. That's it. That's all you have to do.

Ah, I didn't go last year, just did Universal. Then again, I think they were $14 each anyway. Robbing gits, the lot of them.

No free parking anywhere mate, $10 a pop min these days. I used these guys for park tickets, they were ace.

No probs, whereabouts are you based? Might be someone near you we can recommend

For a decent geo by someone who knows what they're doing, it's about £100.

Technically a turbo is part of the exhaust system..,

It's a trackslag, no point in buying a low mileage minter!

I got engaged for the second time standing outside of Cinderella's Castle

Put it this way: I'm incredibly fussy about the cars I own, but I'd buy that. I've seen first hand how Doc treats his cars both in terms of driving and condition, and it wouldn't give me any concerns at all. It really is a beauty, and modified cars like that don't always do it for me.

Wow, I missed this thread because I'm not really interested in hot rods, but if I'd known it was turned into a pedantic debate on semantics I'd have been here sooner! I think the trouble is that we need to strike a clear definition between a hot rod (20s-40s style car with very little bodywork and a massive vee-eight) and modern hot rodding. I'm not sure I can define the latter myself, as when does it stop being modifying and start being hot rodding? Engine swap, turbos, bodykits? I don't know. I guess I think that modern hot rodding and modifying for straight line performance are one and the same, but normal modifying which includes styling only definitely isn't hot rodding.

Oh my what a colour I've only ever driven a CLS63 on a drift day for PH (have I never mentioned that I'm the second best drifter on the whole of PH?!), but it was huge fun. So comfy, so quick, and that noise is to die for.

Truth is that every one likes different things in Orlando, and there's no right or wrong thing to do. It's June, it's warm, it's going to be busy regardless of what you do. Just make time to relax a bit else you really won't enjoy anything, and you'll come back needing a holiday!

THIS Transformers is utterly incredible, but don't read up on it before you go: Makes it more exciting!

Try this: W 3rd - arrive get car etc T 4th - Islands of Adventure F 5th - Universal Studios S 6th - Formula Drift S 7th - Seaworld M 8th - Busch Gardens T 9th - Day out to Clearwaters Beach W 10th - NASA T 11th - Shopping F 12th - Hollywood studios S 13th - Fly home in evening I've ditched Epcot as otherwise it's all bit too much, do some shopping instead (cheap as chips out there mate for clothes). You can take the day at your own pace, then. If your Mum is that keen on Disney, ditch Hollywood Studios and do the Magic Kingdom as it's much more 'special', if you see what I mean.
-
You'll be dead doing all that in that order! Seriously, take a day break between parks: Go do some shopping, go to the beach, do something that doesn't involve you standing on your feet all day. You might have to sacrifice a park or two, but you'll have a much more enjoyable holiday. It won't be that hot then it'll be pleasant. Try going in August with the humidity, that's much worse!

Food is not as cheap out there as it used to be. Sure, you get a good portion, but forget paying a few dollars for a burger and coke any more. Restaurants (and I don't mean posh ones, just regular non-theme park ones) were coming out as between $80-$100 dollars for two, usual burger + drink + fries was around $12 in a park, and beer is about $8 in a park too. As far good restaurants go, you have to try The Melting Pot: It's a fondue place, and it's outstanding. If it helps your cause, you will not do the Universal & Disney parks in 4-5 days. You can do bits of them, but definitely not all. What time of year are you going? If it were me, and assuming no kids are going, I'd prioritise: Islands of Adventure Universal Studios Hollywood Studios Busch Gardens (yes, it's worth the trek across) NASA (as above, but the other direction!) Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are okay, but nowt special unless you have the little ones. Epcot is good too though. We saw the Magic a couple of years back, it was a great evening out and I'd do it again. I'd love to go see the Dolphins too , but we always end up going in the off season now Ah just seen you're going in June. Nice

I'd be very tempted by this, however realistically I won't have the complete funds available until the end of the month. Shame.

Far too fussy looking. The Ford GT is much prettier, just a shame it's a V6
