  1. See the windscreen thing. You can put a spare wheel in your car with no tread on the tyre, MOT fail but not remotely illegal. MOT has zero to do with insurance or being illegal.
  2. Why would they not? For example, I have my car insured with 'exhaust changes' under modifications. That includes any part of the exhaust, so manifold to backbox. I'm running a cat as I can't be arsed with the hassle, but I could swap happily to decats if I wanted.
  3. Bah, memory playing tricks on me! Then yes, you're correct.
  4. Furthest to closest, to the reservoir. IIRC looking from the back, RR, RL, FR, FL. Both nipples too, if Brembo.
  5. Try putting a post in Wanted, with a slightly more helpful title.
  6. They're not illegal, you just won't pass an MOT with them. You won't pass MOT with a large chip in your windscreen, but that's not illegal. If your insurer won't accept them, just change insurer.
  7. Gobby little sh*tbag, more like!
  8. The Murdoch press has very little to do with the voting outcome IMHO. People who are that stupid to be swayed by the gutter press generally are too lazy to vote. They'll talk a good fight, but will do nothing about it. I saw that woman on QT last night too, horrible little troll who I just wanted to punch in the face. Twice.
  9. Fish woman must be really irritated, best result they'll ever have and they've still got zero say in the government as we get a Tory majority. She must've thought that Lab would've been a lot closer, at least then she'd have had massive clout to get things done her way.
  10. I used the term debt to help illustrate my point, but the actual term is, of course, deficit. That's the problem, not debt.
  11. Everything's repairable, if you have the cash. I think you'll lose the CF finish on it though, if you want a proper job with no blending in on the lip. They look like those horrible LED DRL things, yes. There's a fair few quid there in terms of repair, I reckon probably a couple of hundred quid at least is you assume it'll need a respray as all bumpers tend to.
  12. I've not even touched them yet either, I don't think they're going to be something that I'll get to until I've done everything else. We tried Cadwell in F1 cars after you left yesterday Will, that was 'interesting'...! Also the lag on those Lotus 98T is just insane, we all thought the cars were broken as we tried to get off the line until the turbo kicked in yo, then we all spun off straight away
  13. I've had to put the line on for now, too.
  14. This is insane in MP, just got DQ'd for hitting another player, all I was trying to do was turn around
  15. It cannot ever add bhp. Go and put 15 bags of sugar in the car and see if you can tell the difference. If you can then great, strip it out! If not, then don't bother.
  16. Mine is in the garage now, but it used to live on the road. Or the drive, depending on what I needed to use next. If you're going to share a car, please draw up an agreement on who pays for what if the other person writes it off on the first corner.
  17. It's like having a huge credit card bill. You can either suck up not having a lot and pay it off quickly, or go to a payday lender to pay it off then get hit with massive interest charges then borrow some more to pay that off then pay a f*ckton more in the long run. Cuts suck. No doubt about it. Having a country in debt for much longer sucks more, IMHO.
  18. How much other weight have you removed from the car? Unless the answer is everything, then this isn't a good idea.
  19. I wouldn't p*ss on him if he was on fire.
  20. Private sector was hit first and hardest. We just recovered quicker.
  21. No vote, no right to complain. What I think people don't realise is that whoever got in last time HAD to make cuts: There was literally no other choice. Putting aside any bias I have, even I have to admit that we probably wouldn't be any worse off now if Labour had stayed in power last term. It was going to be sh*t regardless, but tbh it's been less sh*t than I thought it might be. Bearing in mind my wife is a teacher, so I've seen first hand the issues the public sector as well as the view from a small business owner, I think that they've done a pretty good job. What I will say is that there are no longer any excuses: They wanted a 10 year term, they've now got it, so if things aren't rosy the other side then I'll be the first to shout them down.
  22. Credit card will count for nothing, he's not a trader. Your 'protection' is PayPal only.
  23. Always take the fun car. Always. And always sticker it up, too! Traffic will be murder on Fri, Sat and Sun around the circuit, but otherwise it's not too bad. When are you getting there?
