  1. The Zed wasn't designed around Bridgestones. There's not a huge amount of difference between a DE and a HR 350Z, yet somehow Nissan changed from 040 to 050A tyres. In a marvellous piece of coincidence, they were the tyres at the time that Bridgestone wanted to promote... It's all down to which manufacturer will pay the most to have their tyres on a car. Michelin spend a fortune getting N rated status for the Porsche tyres, but the difference between an N rated 050A and a regular 050A is zero in the real world. I ran both, couldn't feel a difference at all.
  2. I dunno, he did alright against Valuev who was a complete monster of a man. One fight does not a great boxer make though, and all that.
  3. I've noticed that, in general, the Left seem to be much angrier and noisy than the Right. That's across social media, mind.
  4. Maybe not so much just the people, more the whole situation? Dunno, I'm just grasping here, I've never had the same issue.
  5. Probably because everyone is so scared of saying the wrong thing, or the right thing but taken the wrong way.
  6. It all depends on the conversation between the user and the operator. Any idiot can use a machine to get a car between the green lines it tells you to, but OEM specs are incredibly safe and dull. You're better off going to someone who understands how the different settings can affect a car for the better, and just what the driver wants the car to handle like.
  7. 10.5 is too much. 10 is the most you should go with that width.
  8. Hah, SFQs, I'm pinching that one! Welcome along Luke Zeds are great for munching the miles, the seats are proper comfy and I never had any issues doing silly mileages in mine.
  9. Alignment, alignment, alignment. First stop, always, on any car. Should be done a minimum of once a year, preferably twice. Not having any details on your old car or your new one, it's difficult to pass judgement call on whether it could also be the bushes. Or very possibly worn dampers.

    A55 crash

    That's a Chim. Deffo.
  11. Coz oversteer is more likely to kill you than understeer as its considered easier to control. If you have more grip at the back than the front you are much less likely to oversteer and you are more likely to not die as a result ^^^This. Tyre centres are pussies. I always put new tyres on the driven wheels on FWD cars.
  12. Racism is all about being racist against the right people. Swap negroes for pikies and no-one would bat an eyelid. Well, except the pikies, but they're too busy laying tarmac and stealing your dags to complain. In all seriousness though, there's no doubt there's some seriously bad apples in UKIP that need to get the boot and join the BNP where they belong. There is zero place for some of their attitudes in the world, much less politics.
  13. Because you turned slightly, and because you have mismatched tyres I suspect that the front end had more grip than the back which was compounded by you braking. If you'd had matching tyres you'd either have had the same grip, or much lower grip levels which you'd have been wiser to. Also, you were going too fast for the conditions. That's as big a reason as the tyres *EDIT* Yeah, what Grundy said.
  14. But that's what he's going to think/claim if the engine is knackered. Seriously, this is a really bad idea. If you want the engine that badly, get whoever is going to fit it for you to purchase & supply it, as it becomes their problem then.

  16. On a 350Z, they're not for me. They just look anywhere from odd to downright chav-central. Angel eye-style ones would be as close to acceptable as I'd get. Only in white, though!

    Not a vampire, then?
  18. £10 says he won't send it via that way. Or at least, he won't if he's got any sense, because I wouldn't sell an engine to a stranger across the water who could just claim it's broken when they botch the install. Not saying you will, of course, but he has to cover himself as well if he's genuine. Look, buying that engine is a total gamble, it's 50/50 as Grundy said, if you want it then get it but don't expect anyone here to agree with you.
  19. Looks like a p*ssing contest to me. "Hey, look at how much I spent on my car! Look how many horses I now have!" I dunno, I'm just being a pessimistic arse like always, I'm sure it could be good given time. I prefer the back and forth of forums though, personally.

I reckon there's two ways to drive the Ring: 1. Don't look at any videos more than you normally would. Drive it as a quick country road that you don't know. 2. Play as much Forza/GT as you can, learn the lines as best you can, take notes of the corners and stick them to your dash. Go uber prepared, but try not to expect too much from yourself. Common sense says always do the first one. I did the second one on my first go there! I'm glad I did, I found myself so much more prepared than the guy I went with who had to follow me all day. That said, I'd had a fair amount of track experience beforehand so was mentally prepared for the drive as much as anything, and it was a proper trackday there too. If you've never driven on track before, I'd say that doing the second option like me isn't a great idea. False confidence and all that. Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll have fun which is the most important thing. Try not to lose any sleep over losing your house if you have a crash though

Tip No.1: Remember you're not insured. Tip No 2: Mind the bikes! Tip No 3: The Pistenklause restaurant MUST be experienced for the food! It's in the Hotel am Tiergarten. I normally use the Eurotunnel these days, so much easier than faffing about on a ferry.
  22. PCars reviews going up now, 85-87 on Metacritic between PC and PS4 versions so far.
  23. Dan'll Fix It! No wait, that's not a tag line I want to be associated with these days...
