  1. Warranty is irrelevant, no matter what the dealer says. That's simply not fit for purpose, nor of reasonable quality. Take it back to the garage, let them decide what they want to do. You should have ZERO costs for this, no matter what their warranty terms are, you're covered by the SOGA in this, not the warranty terms. Take it back, explain the problem, see what they say. They should fix it, however they may simply just refund you and then you'll have to get a new one. That's up to them, you cannot force them to fix it, but they MUST either fix or refund. No alternative.
  2. Also, don't forget to save your money and get the same size tyres all round, and run the rears at 60psi so you get the max feeling from them!
  3. Event Tyres especially: Everybody always wants their driving to feel like an event!
  4. No-one in their right mind would run 914 on a Zed, though
  5. Very true. It would look better, for one Seriously though, that's an incredible spec of car, well worth the asking price.
  6. Yup, full asking price in cash AND they leave you their driving licence or a photocopy. If legit, they should have no issues with that.
  7. Because LC from traffic lights is very likely to get you done for Careless Driving, if caught. Definitely quiet roads only!
  8. Apart from the scaffold on the back, that's lovely.
  9. What do you have on the front?
  10. Tbh, I think I'd rather the Zed died off than was diluted with either a 4-pot or an SUV. Some cars don't have to live forever to stay an icon forever.
  11. Better is relative. Neither car is going to be corroded to any degree that any sane person would care about. You really should care about the colour, that's the whole selling point of the car!
  12. That's what I mean: That's a lovely looking car. Perfect.
  13. F*ck me, that is one seriously ugly car. What the hell are Lexus doing these days? They used to be masters of understated class, now they seem to be cramming as many angles onto a car as possible.
  14. Well, exactly! Why buy a crappy Nissan with a sh*tty engine when you can have a V8 Mustang? Ford can get away with it due to the volume they sell (I suspect they sell the RHD Mustang at a loss) and because of the name: The Z moniker just doesn't mean that much to people ultimately, not compared to the Mustang or other Jap favourites like Supra or GT-R. No point bringing a quill to a nuclear war.
  15. But not all revup engines use oil, only a handful of them do. Mine didn't
  16. Bloody good cars, aren't they? If it's priced right, it'll sell, don't worry about that. I usually buy sports cars in the winter, not because of price but just because that's how it usually ends up. No idea why!
  17. I could be wrong, but isn't the labour time on that more than 4 hours? Book time, anyway. I'd have said closer to 6 hours, if memory serves. No idea what Nissan main dealer rates are these days, £70? That's £420, plus parts & fluid call it another £400 with Nissan tax, so £800-ish in the UK? Call that 1100EU for fairness. Seriously, get a price from your local Nissan dealer then go back to them with that.
  18. Ouch, that's not cheap at all is it? Can you not find a German Zed forum, ask for the details of a local garage in Koblenz, then arrange for the car to be taken there to be fixed for less? Or (and I like this idea), find out the cost of a master cylinder change at Nissan dealer in the UK, then tell the Germans you're happy for them to fix it but will only pay the price that you've been quoted in the UK? Can copy Nissan GB and Nissan Germany into the email chain too, just for lols. The trouble is, how much ballache do you want to go through and then how much more are you going to save by faffing around? Oh, and get the slave cylinder done at the same time, labour is the same so you should only pay for the part really.
  19. What am I missing here? Low miles = Check. GT4 = Check. According to posts over the last couple of years, that's the exact car that should be selling for a premium. I point out that neither low miles nor GT4 is worth a premium (although the yellow is stunning and worth paying a bit more for, tbh) and I get shot down as a hater. Far be it from me to worry about a few angry words on the internet, but sometimes this place drives me utterly bonkers If somebody wants a collectible 350, that's it right there, surely?
  20. Unlikely to be badged a Z car I would think, but certainly makes sense. Either we get a 2-door RWD coupe with a small 4-pot turbo engine that will sell about 5 cars a year, or we get a crossover car with the same engines and 4x4 that will sell millions. The affordable but fast coupe as we know it is dead: You either go slower like the BRZ86, or you spend more and get a TT/Z4/Cayman. End of an era folks, end of an era.
  21. Bugger That's a real shame, would've been nice if they'd been a competitor to the 888s.
  22. Yes, I know exactly how, but given that you refused a few months ago to share a nice driving route with me I shall keep it to myself. #karma I'm sure someone will be along to tell you how to do it soon enough, anyway. I just wanted to get that out there, 'cos I hold grudges for aaaaaaaages.
