  1. Shock news, Russia is full of crooks. So is most of the Eastern bloc, but hey ho. Can't say I'm that bothered, seeing as how Russia don't win everything anyway they're clearly not cheating hard enough
  2. That's what reminded me after I thought about it yesterday! It makes no sense though, why do we do that?
  3. It occurred to me yesterday that we're all stupid. Bear with me on this. What's the first thing in general we say when people ask about servicing? "Don't go near a main dealer, they don't know their arse from their elbow, they'll break your car as they have zero knowledge!". Instead, we tell people to go to a good independent instead. Usually cheaper, usually better. Which is all well and good, and we feel warm and snuggly when we do that as we're helping fellow owners as well as the little guy trying to make a living. So why the juddery f*ck do we then see it as a good thing when we find a good indy that employs ex-main dealer technicians?! I'm as guilty as anyone, all the indys I've used for current and previous cars have guys working that are ex-Nissan/Porsche/BMW, it just struck me yesterday that that's a really odd thing that we as petrolheads do!
  4. It affects all wheels, but some people seem to be affected more than others.
  5. No issues on iOS via Safari.
  6. We should get a race going Yeah would be good. I'm KingMarz. Usually on after 10.30pm most nights. I'm not that happy with Forza 6 though... i gave it a couple of hours at the weekend and i dont like the handling with my Thrustmaster TX. Under braking the cars just dont feel right and i don't have that much confidence on the steering. I've got the handling set to simulation though so maybe i need to try it on standard. What do you use? It's not you, it's a game-breaking bug and is why I've stopped playing it. Basically, when using the wheel it turns every car into an oversteery mess, like you're running 165 width tyres on the rear! It doesn't matter if you put it on Sim or Std, it's still broken. You can try changing the diff lock, or camber or toe, or whatever you like: It doesn't matter, every car will still be shocking. Some people have had success by turning the steering lock down on the wheel itself, but it just made it too twitchy for me. Basically, you need to play with a pad, which is ridiculous. However Fallout 4 is out tomorrow and scoring 9s and 10s, so I don't care.
  7. They'd look far better set into the bumper matey, is that not an option? Right now they look like cheap jewellery, like kids stick to home made Christmas cards.
  8. Dear god please remove those awful LEDs from that bumper! That's a lovely colour
  9. If it were my money, I'd be looking at a Merc instead, probably a CLK55 or similar. Far better drive, better engine, more grunt, won't make you look 75 when driving it Not known for their reliability, but certainly not going to be any worse than a Jag of that era for sure! My Mum runs a 3.2 X308 which is very wafty, and Rich from here had the equivalent engine in an XKR which was nice enough to waft around in but felt lacking in personality to me. The car, not Rich.
  10. And can be made to handle
  11. Which age XJR? Personally the X150 XKRs are looking an absolute bargain right now.
  12. Ekona

    Just...yes

I can feel it trying to kill me from here.
  13. 3 series estate. /thread
  14. Chill out mate, he was only offering an opinion. I think he made a fair point actually, the purple/silver mix does look a little cheap, which ruins the overall effect of an otherwise smart car.
  15. Firewall?
  16. That would be my guess as well, something is getting crossed up on the networking side. Can you at least ping the NAS from a PC?
  17. You really shouldn't have done that, y'know. I mean, I can see why you would, but that's going to be a major PITA I think.
  18. Absolutely fine, no issues at all. That's what they're designed for
  19. Just checking, as you referred to a Z4 which is a completely different beast. The terminology shouldn't be confused.
  20. Sounds like he was having a bad day, but no excuse for behaviour like that. No excuse at all.
  21. Check the battery, electrical gremlins are often caused by a low one. That's the easy thing, anything else may take a little more problem solving without specific error codes (is the CEL on?). And welcome along!
  22. You do realise what a Z4MC is, right?
  23. You're really going to need dates for every place you've lived, and you're definitely going to want to get your bank and DVLA records (the latter of which is an absolute must-do by law) in your CURRENT address. Trust me, do this now so you don't get caught out later when they ask you for proof of address for stuff. Having it at your Mum's place is no good at all. They will want to know EVERY address you've lived at, and when. Go find the info now, make like a lot easier for yourself.
  24. It's bloody awful. Ignore everything else that's bad about it (the online element with no lobby, the dreadful 'acting' in the cutscenes, the tinny muzak), it's the handling that's truly shocking. I had mine set to grip, and all it did was understeer into walls. Sure, it's very easy to make a chavmobile in game, but it really should be better than that. I'd avoid.
  25. Yeah, it wasn't nicked. See Aliveboy's post.
