  1. Just on a set of ramps would do, or jacks. As long as you keep the bolts connecting them well lubricates, it won't be that hard. Tbh, any garage won't charge much more than an hour to swap them over for you. Hell, the MOT place will more than likely do that, mine do.
  2. A wise man doth post above me EDIT: Or on the previous page, even. Stupid forum page breaks!
  3. Not true. There is no specific legislation that prevents their use on the road. You're not allowed to modify your exhaust with the specific intention of making it louder under the Construction & Use Regs, however there's nothing that says you must not remove your cats. It is highly unlikely (read: impossible) that you'll pass an MOT with decats on, and it's illegal not to have an MOT, however that does not mean that you can't alter your car as soon as you have the certificate in hand. I know exactly what you're trying to get at with your post and generally you're spot-on, I just feel it's important not to propagate the incorrect statement that decats are illegal. If it were me, given the hit and miss nature of hi-flo cats I'd either decat and replace with the cats once a year, or stick with the stock cats.
  4. I did, and I even wanted an E92 M3 as well as my second choice by Steve beat me to it! Still, I genuinely would like to have a 996 and modify the pants off it. It's got more than enough power, and with just a few mods you can make it a real weapon. It may not look as good as a 993, but the chassis is a massive leap forward. Certainly a better drive than either the MX5 or the Chevvy.
  5. No idea how you can't find an E92 M3 significantly quicker than a 370. It's night and day, especially with the DCT and when you get into interesting speeds. I agree though, I didn't find the car that special either which is why I swapped it for a 911 the next day. That said, I suspect it's because I wasn't really ready for a bigger coupe with a V8 at that point in life: Certainly in every way an E92 is better than my E63, and given how much I love that I suspect I'd adore an E92 these days.
  6. That's because they butchered a perfectly decent language. Their fault, not ours.
  7. Grundy, I think I know who we have to sack. Bye bye Mouthwash
  8. Good spot BM. For the record, I didn't do that bit of editing
  9. Have you ever been in trouble with the law at all, and if so what for?
  10. Podcasts? Is it 2004 again already? I prefer audio books to podcasts, especially if it's an autobiography.
  11. ooh Competition Package, very nice!
  12. Ackermann steering. Every sports car does it. Nowt to worry about.
  13. Great cars, and a great choice. Spec list please!
  14. If it's only done it since the tyres, then it's almost guaranteed to be the tyres. Stock sizes on 18" wheel on a 350 are 225/45/18 and 245/45/18.
  15. It wasn't the rules that scuppered the Nissan LMP1 car, it was the fact it was a complete piece of sh*t! FWD indeed, silly idea. I cannot wait to go and see the Ford GT in action this year, will be cheering the 66 car on all the way to the class win hopefully It's utterly stunning, and I don't even mind the V6T instead of a V8 either. Looks to be fairly competitive too, even at this early stage after the Daytona race last month.
  16. The TCS is kicking in because the car wants to rotate, which is the rear axle trying to overtake the front. Simple answer is to slow down and realise that you're going too fast for the conditions, be that road, weather, car, or talent. The better answer is to not run mixed tyres at the same time. Have a read and decide for yourself. You're experiencing the randomness that mixed tyres can bring into the equation when pushing on, especially in the winter.
  17. In every single way, yeah.
  18. The Crimean one
  19. I hope his legs fall off.
  20. What an absolute waste of a car.
  21. So underrated, but so beautiful. That interior is simply brilliant.
  22. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/poorboys-natural-look-dressing/prod_328.html That's lovely stuff, it really is. I tend to use either AG trim gel on the exterior trim, or Megs tyre gel.
  23. My next question was going to be what was the best gig he's ever played
  24. What's the best gig you've ever been to?
