  1. The ragtop is much better for room in the back, I'd have been quite happy to sit in there for a longer trip.
  2. Thing with the Hass is that it's not just Ferrari parts, it's also the fact they've had free run on the Ferrari wind tunnel by exploiting a (now closed) loophole. And of course, this info wouldn't have hurt Ferrari one little bit But yes, they've done very well. We'll never know how they would've been without Maranello, but certainly Grosjean is doing his chances of a red seat next year no harm at all.
  3. The only reason Ferrari have been so close is because they've been running their engines on the limit. They'll have to turn them back down now to improve reliability, so you can expect the gap to the Mercs to increase again.

    Rear coilovers

But you've asked for just the rears...

    Rear coilovers

Ah okay, you're misusing the phrase coilover, that's why I don't understand You don't have any kind of coilover anything on the rear. What you have are lowering springs, with an adjustable mount. I wouldn't change just the rear dampers without doing the fronts too, mismatched shocks can be horrendous for stability under load.

    Rear coilovers

That's what a coilover is, a coil (spring) over a damper. The OEM standard is coilover fronts and separate springs & dampers on the rear. You don't want that, trust me. You say you already have rear springs with adjustable dampers though, but you then say you have standard shocks too?
  7. Have you ever seen a lightly used GT3 wheel? Even with gloves, it'll be wrecked in short order. There's lots of different types of leather, perforated would be my pick.
  8. Wrap the car? At least that way if you get a nick or whatever, you can just re-wrap the panel in question with ease.
  9. Amen! Can't stand the bloody stuff, it's like nails down a blackboard to me.

    Rear coilovers

To clarify, do you want to do a coilovers conversion on the rear?
  11. Sadly the thousands who own the company aren't so convinced Tesla is the equivalent of Apple. No doubt it's a decent product, but some people buy simply because they fall for the marketing. Dare I admit that the Model S has its place in the performance saloon world, but this is a mess of ugly, uselessness and hype. I wonder how many of those pre-orders will be cancelled? It's certainly going to be a rare sight on the roads in the UK, at least.
  12. Ain't no replacement for displacement
  13. It's a daily drive. Practicality should be one of the most important features of the car. The TM3 fails at the first hurdle. You could actually buy a useful car for the money you're going to spend on that.
  14. Dull as ditchwater.
  15. So the boot is actually even more useless then? That's a clusterf*ck of a design.
  16. Who has email notifications?! Surely you just live on here and take everything as it comes
  17. Interestingly (or not) despite Tesla taking 180k orders for the Model 3 on day one, the share price continued to fall throughout the day. The market, it seems, is still not impressed nor convinced. Also, have you seen the boot? Utterly useless. Should've been a proper hatch, not a silly flip up thing.
  18. Thanks chaps Been to my local indie today and they think it might be okay, fortunately they're also on the Sky Insurance approved repairer list so I know it'll be in good hands. Speaking of Sky, aside from long wait times on the phone (it's a weekend, I can forgive that) they've been excellent so far in starting this process.
  19. It's more the damage to the substructure I'm worried about, but I guess it would've been worse if this had happened after. Small mercies and all
  20. Lovely colour, and the engine cover looks ace! Congrats mate, bet you're well chuffed
  21. This is true. In fairness it doesn't look so bad in pics, it's in the flesh you can see how everything is distorted beneath the plastic.
  22. Greatest pun ever!
  23. Romanian lorry drivers should learn to use their mirrors in petrol stations. It might help them avoid driving into the front of my f*cking car. To say I'm slightly miffed is an understatement. Turns out though that, when sufficiently irritated, I have no problem mouthing off at two random foreign blokes despite them both being a fair bit bigger than me Oh, it's not funny really. I'm quite irritated, especially since I'd just booked the car in yesterday for a colour change. That goes out of the window now. Plenty of front end damage, going to get drunk now and look again in the morning.
  24. Done the Cayman yet?
  25. I know, can't wait! The 919 looks very good this year, however I think Porsche will find it very hard to do as well as last year again. The RSR looks good but I suspect development will stall against the 488, and the Audi will provide a sterner test in P1 this year.
