  1. RE050As are a billion times better than the 452s. They're not even in the same league. At 3mm all round I'd be tempted to change the lot in this weather, but if you've only got the cash now then just doing the rears is fine.

    GT5

You mean you're not a Stoke fan called Geoff? /disappointed

    Rim Wax

It's good, but FK1000P is better.
  4. Has this actually sold at all in the last 4 years it's been up for sale, or is it still the same bloke flogging it?
  5. Muddy wellies I get, but black marker to touch up bits on black trim is a pretty good idea. That's what I've used to colour in black wheels after they've been kerbed but before I can get to do a proper refurb on them.
  6. Happy birthday you old sod! Have a great day mate!

    Coilovers

You already have coilovers at the front anyway, and even if you change suspension you'll still only have coilovers at the front. Coilover = The spring (coil) sits over the damper. The stock system is like this.
  8. They guy died, in case anyone doesn't know the whole story. Not really sure the gene pool is going to miss him though.
  9. Just get two RE050A tyres for the rear. That's all you need, assuming your fronts are RE050A and not just RE050.
  10. Your brother has a VXR220? Which number? I used to have no.20 Bedford track is, surprisingly, in Bedford Google for Bedford Autodrome, you won't miss it.
  11. PM me the link please Woody so I can look into this before passing comment.
  12. 452s are budget tyres on the Zed, they're just not ultra-pikey tyres i.e. Nankangs. Couple of hundred quid extra for a decent set of rubber is an absolute no-brainer as far as I can see, but each to their own and whatever makes you happy.
  13. This happened at least three years ago IIRC. It's all a bit irrelevant though as there's so much more that effects your premium than just what car you drive.
  14. I've used MSV before and they're awesome, but I've also used another company who's name completely escapes me right now. Tbh I've never heard of anyone having a badly run day at Bedford, JP is quite picky over who he allows to use his place.
  15. Using them as indicators looks far better than I thought it would, but using them as DRLs or keeping them on with dipped beam...
  16. Trouble is that most of those cars are just Standard ones, i.e. ones with no interior. Look at how many Premium ones there actually are and that's the number of cars you'll actually be able to use (assuming you're not a complete girl and drive with the exterior view ). So many of them are just doubled up for no reason whatsoever other than to give the game a big number to show off with. At least in Forza every car was equal, regardless of standing.
  17. This entire thread reminds me exactly why I never scrimp on tyres. They're the only thing keeping you in contact with the road, after all. 452 are sh*t T1R are sh*t VUS are good PS2 are amazing RE050A are amazing Depends on how much you want to end up in a ditch, really. That said, even the greatest of tyres or 4WD won't make up for ham-fisted control of a car in bad conditions. If it's that slippy, then just don't drive!
  18. Bedford is a good track to drive, bit flat and uneventful but there's some lovely technical corners there to play with. I've done loads of days there now and the driving standard is always high, although be aware of the low drive-by noise limit: If you're car is loud, then there's a good chance you'll fail and it's bye-bye Airfield days are terrible for stone chips and tyre wear, track days are not. No need to worry on that front.
  19. Nexens??!! I didn't realise you hated your car that much Second photo jars on the eyes, but in that weird artistic way that I really like. Nice shot!
  20. I've got a 55" Sammy S7 LED and I love it, but go and look at the telly before you buy it. Places like Comet and Currys are brilliant for stuff like this, just go in really early on a Saturday or a boring Wednesday afternoon and take your favourite BD with you, and then get them to set the player up on various TVs until you find one that works for you. I took Independence Day (lots of blacks and I love the film!) and my Xbox with Forza as well to test for gaming images.
  21. Except the sound. Turbine engines don't sound like a V12. No-one buys a sports car because it's got super-high MPG or because it gets around the congestion charge, they buy them because THEY GIVE YOU BALLS.
  22. Tyre pressures are based on what make and model of tyre you're running, not the size. So what tyres are you running?
  23. Umm, ask them tomorrow? Crazy idea, I know, but it just might work!
  24. Bin it and go LED, you'll never look back.
