  1. Quick, someone feed the hamster!
  2. I did the 'Ring to my house on one tank, which is about 430 miles. I thought that was quite good going.
  3. As much as I always say that you buy a car for you and not for the next buyer, be very careful here. You might be happy with the response you get from the seller (forget the DVLA, useless shower of b*stards), but then you've got to explain that discrepancy to the person you sell the car onto. With the amount of quality Zeds out there right now, I'd walk away.
  4. Really? Fair enough, didn't know that. I still bet the presentation isn't a patch on what Sky give you though. It irritated the snot out of me when the EU go involved in this and made the Premier League split their TV packages between Sky and Setanta, as all that actually meant for the end viewer was that they had to pay twice for something they used to get all in. How does that make the viewer any better off? It's still the same now with ESPN, and having had the misfortune to watch some of their dire coverage I now just stick with Sky and miss a few matches a season.
  5. I think it's a terrible idea. Sky have revolutionised football coverage and took all the risks, so it's only fair that they get the lions share of the coverage now. Now that pubs can go anywhere for their coverage, that's going to be a fair whack of money not going back into the English game, which cannot be a good thing. They've deliberately not put games on live on a Saturday to help clubs maximise their gate revenues, which is the right way to do it IMHO. I'd rather pay for the quality of Sky than have some foreign bloke nattering away for less.
  6. Got mine today, 'bout bloody time too It's gone straight up in the kitchen next to Jo's cute cat one, but I know which is better
  7. I had a TomTom One XL in mine and it was a perfect fit with perfect reception all the time. I ran the power cable inside the centre console and down to the power outlet by the passenger's RH knee. Much better than being stuck with an in-built unit IMHO, meant I could simply lift it out and plug it into the PC to upload stuff and sort out ITN files.
  8. There's a Respect And Dignity At Work Act? Seriously? Bloody hell, what's the world coming to?! Anyways, that example isn't bullying, that's the boss being a ****. Agreed I wouldn't particularly like to be on the end of it, and I might even kick off back (and have done in the past when someone's spoken to me like that), but it's hardly bullying. The way I see it you've got three choices: You can either go up as a team (and I mean all 12 of you) and tell him you're not happy with his attitude, or you can accept that the bloke is a bit of a pain and be grateful you've got a job but keep an eye on other opportunities, or you can quit now and find something else. Umm, so how does you breaching your contract put you in a better position? Work your notice but barely work IYSWIM, that's what everyone else does.
  9. Personally I'd stick with a Squeezebox and a separate HD, far more common and loads of different ways of setting it up and running it. Probably no better technically than the JB7, but the amount of options and Logitech's experience and quality in the market would make it difficult for me to go for something else.
  10. Define bullying. Is it getting you to do more work than everyone else, snide comments continually, unfair pay etc? Or is it just that he's an arse?
  11. I'm very tempted, is £390 ish + fitting really a bargain? Can you notice it that much? Yes, absolutely. I fitted them one at a time, and every piece I put on made an immense difference to the car. I think that the mid x-brace actually does the least in terms of feel, but in conjunction with the other three bits you end up with a wonderfully communicative chassis that's very adjustable on the limit.
  12. Right, definitely worth doing along with the diff oil too.
  13. How many miles has the car done?
  14. Depends. Do you actually game a lot and struggle with getting the resolution and AA/AF you require? Do you have many DX11 games, or are you intending on buying many? Even one would be a significant upgrade from what you have now, but unless there's games you want it for I personally wouldn't bother.
  15. Can't hurt to change the gearbox oil, when was it last done?
  16. You have the DE revup engine then.
  17. You can never have too much power!!!!11 *buys two*
  18. The Daily Fail ran with the same story too I believe, relating it to those three kids that died the other day whilst out on a joyride in a Civic. Sensationalist nonsense, not worth giving it the column inches IMHO.
  19. What engine? The HR engine makes significantly more gearbox whine than the DE in my experience.
  20. Then how do you know it all? Where's any of the detail in what you're saying? I've given you links to where I'm getting my info from, where anyone can look it over and have their say on it. All you seem to be providing in return is Daily Mail-style rhetoric. Like I said, if what you're saying is true then I support you, but you really need to start providing some kind of evidence here. Given that they're not actually planning to sell every last bit off for car parking (which of course you'd know if you read the publicly accessible data), then the scare tactics are a tad disappointing.
