  1. # Giraffe # Pizza Express # Carluccio's Caffe # Wagamama # Byron # Strada # Nando's # Jamie's Italian # Ask # Cafe Rouge # Zizzi As per here I don't have too much of an issue with kids in restaurants in general really as me and brother used to go to a few when we were younger with your parents, but it's when they start screaming and crying and (especially) running around everywhere that makes me want to kill someone. Why on earth parents can't control their kids or take them outside when they're playing up is beyond me.
  2. Bigger the better really, whatever size fits under the seats comfortably would be what I would buy. That way they're out of sight and not taking up room anywhere else in the car.
  3. Leave a couple of silica gel bags in the car somewhere, that'll help loads. Also make sure that you've got the AC on and it's not set to circulate when you're out in the car, that'll remove a lot of the condense that forms whilst you're driving.
  4. DA or Orbital polishers are as safe as houses, as you simply cannot get the paint hot enough to do any damage with. That said, you then can't get out the deepest of scratches with them either but if they're that bad you're probably going to use specialist help anyway. The Meguiars one as demonstrated by the guys themselves seems to be a bit of a bargain, and is probably where I'd drop my money right now.
  5. That said, there's nothing like having a play with a like-minded enthusiast you happen to stumble across when out and about. I had a huge amount of fun the other weekend in Milton Keynes (not a phrase you hear very often) with a current gen Jag XKR who was giving it full beans whenever possible. The sound of both his car and mine being used to the full = All done at legal speeds mind, thanks to the four million roundabouts and dual carriageways in MK.
  6. The RS division never touched the Puma, the FRP was created by the Rally team in Boreham Well done for not biting, it's just not worth it.
  7. Great news matey, many congrats

    Square setup

Nothing wrong with having a square setup with your wheels, but you MUST keep the stagger between front and rear else you'll end up with a horribly oversteery car that's going to try and kill you at every attempt. Keep it a minimum of 20mm like stock is (i.e. 225/45/18 and 245/45/18), or increase the rear size if you want more grip at the rear.
  9. I'm still hoping for "Two Girls, One Cup And A Duke!"
  10. Ignoring for the minute that Clarkson is a very good journo who knows which buttons to push for maximum exposure, he's probably correct on this one. Thinking it through: Stiffer springs and shocks affect the ride quality for the worse Lowering the car means more scrapes on the front bumper Larger wheels add weight at the worst place and give a crashy ride Better brakes are more likely to squeal and are not so good from cold Exhaust and air filter are going to make the car noisier Better stereo MAKES YOUR EARS BLEED WITH BASS ...and so on. Technically from a generic POV 99% of mods make a car 'worse' as a daily driver, and it's only because we're enthusiasts who do it with a specific end goal in mind that we can put up with the compromises: To us, a bone stock car is the compromise, hence the need to modify.
  11. Given that the notoriously-strict Aussies have passed this as a 15 with no cuts at all, I'm not expecting this to be either a decent game nor shocking in the slightest.
  12. Very much doubt that, it makes the BBC a fortune in worldwide screening rights. I actually caught the second half of TG tonight, much to my better judgement. It's still sh*te
  13. Tbh I think it would be too, and if I still had the Zed I dare say I'd have switched too and taken the chance.
  14. Basically don't go there if you've got loads of mods or can't afford to replace them yourself should the worst happen. Unless you feel the money saved over another insurance company is worth the gamble, of course.
  15. SORN it then. You can do it online now so it's not like it takes an immense amount of effort to do it really. Honestly, I'm not sure the DVLA should take any hits on this one as, useless as they can be at time, at least they're trying to do something.
  16. Where do you think the scale in your kettle comes from?
  17. The Admiral Group have dropped their premiums this year by a substantial margin to get more trade, hence the reason they're substantially cheaper than everyone else. Mine's only £930, and that includes putting Jo (who's just 22!) on their as a named driver as well.
  18. Not really. The cost of removing the injectors, then sending them off, then getting them cleaned, then putting them back... Not worth it IMHO, especially as you'll have to find another 6 injectors to use in the meantime. Definitely worth doing if you've got a set that have been sitting around for a while or have ordered from a company where that could be true, then at least you'll know they're immaculate before putting them in. On a daily driver I'd just chuck a bottle of injector cleaner in once a year for peace of mind, along with a can of 10K Boost.
  19. Not personally but I know people who have. Well worth doing if you're making a build for power as you want to make sure everything is spot-on before you put it all together.
  20. Shame about the lights really, I think they distract from what is otherwise a stunning piece of motoring furniture. I'd love to build something like this myself one day, I just need a living room big enough to do it justice fist though sadly.
  21. Fairy Power Spray is my secret weapon when it comes to getting sticky stuff off
  22. 10K Boost is amazing stuff, but it's not strictly an engine additive. I've used the Redex injector cleaner and the like, never had any issues.
