  1. Whatever, it doesn't make that much difference. I usually leave about 15 mins, but checking from cold is equally as valid. One or the other is fine and has been for decades.

    Tyres.

Which Proxes? There are multiple ones. Everything you need for tyres is in this thread, including a wonderfully detailed and honest review of many tyres by yours truly
  3. How hard can it be in this day and age for a car manufacturer to make the low oil light blink when it's at the bottom of the dipstick, i.e. before it gets to dangerously low levels?! They spend forever and a day inventing useless crap like vibrating seats if you stray over a line or magic cameras that park the car automatically, but the basic stuff they still don't bother with!! Boils my ****, it does. /rant
  4. Overfilling is as bad as underfilling, you can blow all the seals and render the engine useless. Tbh you really need to read the level off the dipstick, I appreciate it's not that easy but neither is it impossible. Read from both sides, wipe in-between dipping and only read after the car has been sat still for 10-15 mins on a level surface. You're taking a hell of a chance reading using the pressure gauge alone. I'll admit to doing so on my old car, however that was in conjunction with reading off the dipstick and knowing how pressure equated to levels on my particular engine: It'll be different between cars.
  5. I swear to god if I see that irritating piece of spam chain letter mail one more time I'm going to go postal.
  6. Who is the main driver? It's not clear from your post, and you seem to be flirting with the idea of fronting which is a big no-no and will deservedly see you in big trouble if you're caught.
  7. I was going to say, £80 is a bargain! Best way is to insure with someone who chucks track cover in for free, like REIS or CCI.
  8. A ) Nothing. B ) You get nothing, other driver claims off his own track cover and gets some money back. C ) Nothing, but this is why TDOs have very expensive liability cover and you sign disclaimers. If you were driving dangerously and the TDO had done everything within their power to stop you then you'd be up for a manslaughter charge at the very least. D ) Same as above, although possibly the next of kin for the other driver would get the insurance money from the car. Track day cover only covers you for damage to your car and nothing else. No cover for personal injury or damage to other objects (cars or scenery) is included.
  9. Never. I will never, ever be priced off the road. I'd give up SkyHD before I stopped driving, and that's saying something.
  10. Very possible Russ. Also why wait three months? It's under warranty, take it back asap and get them to sort it if it's broken.
  11. Because it's horrible abrasive destructive crap, probably.
  12. True, but if that doesn't shift it then you'd need professional help.
  13. Wash to remove any big bits, then a clay bar, then possibly some kind of mild paint cleaner (Scratch X etc) if it still shows.
  14. If you've got lots of receipts, lots of details with times and dates you contacted your landlord/letting agency, then stand your ground. If you're lacking in details in any way then you might need to compromise further. I'm only thinking about how strong you can prove your case without worrying what anybody else is going to say should it come down to it.
  15. Right, you're on about the difference between open pit and a sessioned day. They'll still probably do session days and they're a very good idea as long as people are honest about their capabilities on track. I've only ever done one sessioned track day and that was with the VX220 owners club, it worked really well and I'd probably do another one again.
  16. Fabulous stuff, that kind of effort and determination is so impressive to see
  17. Nah, you can do an MSV trackday regardless of experience. I have.
  18. What % are they Buster?
  19. Definitely not OEM then, more than likely an Exedy one as that's stiffer than stock but still usable.
  20. I assumed that was a typo for wouldn't.
