  1. Internal corrosion as stated would be my only concern - the engine is pretty bomb proof anyway so no need to worry there. If its still had the service done then happy days! Get it and get onto all the club runs you can that will sort the mileage out
  2. I did'nt even know this still existed only a chance discussion at work re: old Pc's etc!! I suppose you can get this for your iphone now ?
  3. for those of a certain age! I was talking about this at work and lo - you can find everything on t'internet I used to play this on night shift ...that was a long time ago - this is the first time I have seen this screen since then! http://sarien.net/larry#outsideleftys
  4. Thanks guys Yes its fast enough and fun - weighs as much as an empty fag packet and has 160bhp! Still getting used to it but love the easy roof up and down process for example - 1 button and off it goes from inside the car. Unfortunately it does'nt have aircon or the Bose stereo but as the rest of the car was mint and the price was right we decided it was worth buying anyway. I mean a new set of Michellin Pilot Sports - thats £500 alone on tyres so hopefully (other than a soddin windscreen) we dont need to spend much money on it for a while? Fed up with changing cars now NO MORE!!! Will have to get down to a Doughnut meet sometime with it
  5. Nissan probably have a 370 mind control module to switch the airbag off Firefox stylie
  6. I did 20K a year in the MX and over three years I had far less chips that I have in the Zed and only done 22k so far We know the paint is p*** poor on Zeds - they waft a tin of the pain - near the Zed on the paint shop - dont want to put any more weight than they need to ! Marts Zed just lives on the edge pretty sure his was polished so many times you can see the suspension parts underneath the body its so thin
  7. Thanks doogy will give them a try( after payday) Let's hope the paint is thicker with miles I do it needs all the protection it can get? Andy it's very baby friendly over the zed. Isofix passenger seat, airbag switch off on dash, the boot holds our pram and accessories easily. Other than new windscreens its very pocket friendly compared to the Zed. Cheaper tax, insurance, fuel costs, dare i say nicer interior too It's got michellin pilot sports though which are uber expensive but I might swop for Falkens again once they all need doing?
  8. well thats what I was thinking - unfortunatley where my work is located (middle of nowhere!) its difficult - worse case I will suggest that to them if they cancel!
  9. he he ok ok - its been p****g it down all the time no chance to get them posted up - will try to sneak some in this week for you mate Doogey - I could'nt face buying another Black car again (although I did look at one before) this colour is so weird - think they have taken Nissan's clearcoat tinting game - it looks grey , then blue, then a hint of lilac sometimes (yes yes I know girlie!) but it does'nt show the motorway dirt like Black does ... Now we are looking at some chrome bling to tart some bits up - is there another (cheaper) supplier than MX5parts - who seem to have a monopoly here? Thanks Digsy for the advice - really enjoying it for the 5 minutes I have driven it!
  10. Sorry for iphone pics but you get the idea - here is our 'Mixy' 2.0 Sport in Galaxy Grey picked it up on Saturday. Just a quick mickey mouse wash - Blackfire wax on standby in the next few weeks Hardly driven it yet but took it to work on Monday - very pleased so far, really odd its like driving my old MR2 roadster but looking at bits of my RX8 too!! Far superior build to the MR2 I am ashamed to say and not as twitchy. Lucy took it out on Saturday evening and did'nt come back for an hour with a 1/4 tank of fuel missing !! I think she forgot herself and I reminded her it actually has 6 gears she can use and not just the 3! So far all good news and even getting used to the bathtub front end now - fortunately I dont see that when I drive But........ had a bit of bad luck on the way home - I was driving down the M56 (of course!!) and thinking how for once I am lucky to get a mint second hand car with not even a stone chip on the windscreen , when I heard a teeny ping I saw something in the side of the windscreen - yup a 2 inch crack that by the time I got home was 6 inches! The earliest Auto windscreens can do is Wednesday (and only if its not raining!) FFS surely they can put a fancy cover over the car as its their day job Oh well these things happen I suppose
  11. I dont hate Christmas I hate the commercialisation of it months ahead for the sake of greed!!!!
  12. Go on you know you want one - whats not to like Coincidentally just found this image on the t'nternet - that was handy was'nt it ... ahem
  13. I always find these washing threads funny - nice to know there are plenty of OCD geeks around not just me! I started to use the 2 bucket method are joining this forum and its fine and cheaper than water on all the time but each to their own - there is probably a 4 bucket and 3 wash mitt method Lifes too short...
  14. Happy Birthday - wrapped that roadster yet Greekman!
  15. Oh Jay had one in exactly the same colour on an N reg (not long after they came out)- wooh so many bad memories there!! 1200cc MAX POWER!!!!!!! As I always say every man should have a shed! Enjoy it mate but check the sensor on the exhaust mine kept falling off!
  16. Hi mate - the roadster was a standard UK car from 2005 although you can find imported ones also. There is no scuttle shake on them and infact the body is stiffer than the coupe due to the additional strengthening. Talk to Zmanalex who runs a 600bhp roadster! Storage space is actually bigger in the ragtop than the coupe especially if you leave the roof up - you have more of less the full rear quarter of space to fill They are a perfect long distance cruiser we went to France and back on hols with ours and it was great but then again the Zed is a good GT car anyway. Have a look around there are plenty of roadster about and since the 370 came out I think prices have dropped a lot. Good luck with your search any other questions let me know
  17. Spotted a red ragtop 370 yesterday on the M60 .....well sorry to anyone who has one but for me it just doesn't do it? Wrong shade of red it should have been the same red as the last 350's aka mr Andy . The yellow 370 coupe on the other hand looked the dogs.
  18. Thanks mate will post some of the van also if you really want! Think we made the right choice 'Mixy' is an excellent drive nice to be back in a sports car again where it tells me what it's doing and I am not cocooned from the outside world
  19. Just sat on the 08:07 to Wolverhampton- the sacrifices you need to make to get a good car!!!! Last time I used public transport was when Stew Got me p#$$&£!! in Mank Off to pick up the new GHD express wagon - 2006 MX5 Sport cant wait to drive it home.Looks really nice in Galaxy Grey , almost went for black again but hopefully this won't show the dirt as much. Will post up some pics later on. Thanks guys for your MX5 advice and especially to Digsy. Hopefully this will take some stress off the van and let me take it off the road for a few days while I do some winter prep on It.
  20. Lexx good write up there mate - I understand what your saying about missing the zed in some areas but not others -its always a compromise on any car. Looks good hope you enjoy it mate - I particularly like the alloys
  21. When I read the title I thought you were talking about my van - lots of revs but not much go!
  22. I've upgraded my 3GS to iphone 4 OS and was thinking of getting the new one but still have a while before contract ends not worth my while - next year though its all your mate! Seriously you can claim on your house insurance - I doubt it will up your premium too much not like a car will! My TV went pop during my last house move and I claimed on the insurance - everything was fine and no hassle from the company - premiums remained the same.
  23. Silver only because I am not so keen on black wheels!
  24. Ditto - me too well everyone did ! Some how it seemed more fun than making up CD's on the puter for the car (which of course the Zed would never play!!! ) My loft still has most if not all of mine, used to play them in the Van before I replaced the radio cassette! Those BASF Chrome tapes still sound spot on today
