  1. Don't worry mate I won't be buying the wonderphone 5 when my contract finishes just probably get the ye olde worlde current version which should make phone calls easily by then I hope? If only they made it in Bakelite my favourite material Btw the navfree is UK and Ireland only
  2. I've binned that Skobbler off it did'nt know half of the 'main roads' in Manchester!! pants - ditch it mate,

  4. Since I dont like spending money on apps for the wonderphone I came across NAVIFREE on Itunes - well thought I would try it - as its free - Surprisingly good - complete with all the bells and whistles including a talking posh woman navigator. Auto day and night mode, and assorted other stuff the big boys provide. Obviously it will never be as good as a dedicated unit but to have with you 'just in case' its actually pretty damn good. Downside its one of these wiki maps things which is bound to be pants but to be fair on a particularly horrible trip thorugh Manchester last Friday it knew all my teeny back street shortcuts and responded very quickly to direction changes so give it a try and see what you think? (sorry if a repost)
  5. Woohoo - good luck mate - so you will be back on top of those scary windmills again! Nice one Car wise - there are shed loads bargains out there? For the money your talking about you can get a nice MR2 or even a nice MX5 import with all the bling. But what about a classic - Peugeot 205 GTI - can get them for about £1800 mark? Fun and cheap Have a shuftie at my fave car sale website. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/list/87/205%20gti/ http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C174789/
  6. Ex Ministry of Defense cars - they are normally sold off at auction cheapo! Full range of cars also and they are fully serviced and maintained -normally people buy Landies but you can also get normal saloon cars too
  7. My roadsters have always been more to insure than tintops - probably a number of reasons -assumption that no steel roof therefore easier to steal it, but in reality I think its the fact that as convertibles are generally hand built and the parts are normally twice as expensive to buy compared to the coupe version hence they are more expensive to repair in the event of a crash say. Plus you know how much the stealers charge for new hoods and fitment - extortionate !! Simples! Just stupid risk statistics from the insurers unfortunately.

  15. Unfortunately they are all the same - only ones I never had trouble with were Toyota! Anyway RRG in Oldham have been great with me and the girls behind the desk were also good in sorting stuff out for me even when my turbo blew on my Xtrail the day before I was to trade it in for a Ditchfinder - they got me a car for the day and I dropped it off early in the morning as they knew I work miles away in Wales - so its luck of the drawer unfortunately! They still honoured the trade in no questions asked. Stick it out mate - they are trying it on expecting you to just say ok! Well dont hang in there
