Why is Angry Birds on the wonderphone so addictive
stanski replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Oh no better make sure Lucy doesn't see those other games or I will never see her!!! -
my mate introduced me to it, that was it - I am not a gamer in anyway never have been but find it great when in boring works meetings. Lucy on the other hand is totally crazy about playing it she is on a mission to get through all the levels hence I never see my phone in the evenings and strangle battery life is always depleted!!! People at work are also mad about it ! I suppose for a simple game it's pretty good

I pass through Ewloe most days, usually on the way to ASDA, but don't go through Hawarden that often. Not been to Charlies, or past it recently for that matter. I tend to avoid Shotton like the plague. There used to be a bronze (not sure of the exact term) Zed around here in 2005/6, saw it almost every day in Ewloe or Buckley but it vanished around the time I got mine in 2007. The guy who had it drove it really hard, saw him giving it some stick up Pinfold Lane on several occasions. Pete Like I said have probably seen you on the bypass etc. I know what you mean Shotton is a lovely select area. Fortunately Charlies is within safe boundaries! Keep Zedding and give us a wave if you see a bright orange campervan flash you!

SaThats a shame Matt - sorry to hear your selling the Zed Good luck with the sale You can always get another one again (like ahem I will )
-
I live over Manc side but I work over in Ewloe but alas the Zed has gone - look out for this instead! .... easy to spot in fact I saw a GM this morning bottom of the M56 There are 2 Zeds in Harwarden also - a silver coupe and 2 Ragtops 1 GM and 1 blue I have carded the Red one ages ago but no joy - think they work at Charlies though - its always there (That is the weirdest shop I have ever seen btw!)
-
Very nice do I detect some HDRing there

to the forum Sam - they are all good which ever model you get -
-
to the forum mate - good luck with your search
-
Buckley eh? think I have seen all your cars at some point - and probably carded you all too! Anyone of you got a Red import btw I keep seeing it outside Charlies car park in Queensferry
-
Congrats on the job - I am doing that sort of commute 120 miles per day round trip - in the Zed it almost bankrupted me - buy a cheapo car to take the strain - infact buy a high miler FSH ex company car of some sort and use that instead. (Or buy a 1973 camper! ahem )
-
Thank goodness someone else has seen how sh** Audi's are For years I've tried to put people off they are worse than Chesterfields Jaguar shenanigans - trust me - DO NOT BUY A TT or any other Audi - its all show and marketing..... Dont get me wrong the Audi's built before the A4, were good solid cars the ones after are just cheaply made rubbish with a price tag and flash marketing.
-
Class mate - welcome to the paranoid world that is owning a nice car! If its any concillation I take the same precautions and have the same defensive stance about my Camper, its survived since 1973 so far and I would prefer it without any dings or scrapes thank you very much! Twas nice of the Police to take a holiday snap for you - the Welsh Police really are so generous

The running costs mate unfortunately nearly bankrupt me last year especially with the petrol prices shooting up and road tax and tyres and 3 services a year, insurance - need I go on? I still miss the zed but it had to go more important things to worry about. With the camper purchase it's made me rethink the tanks roles, we can't have 3 large family cars so I just want an intermediate fun but cheap car until the old beetle is on the road then my most boring M56 trips will be shared between them- cheap and fun motoring with oil leaks Digsy I have never seen a red one before? Had a shock at the stealers about the part ex value of mine - makes we buy any car shisters look like saints!!!! So private sale efforts must be doubled!
-
You can always tell a good car by the response from enthusiastic owners Lucy used to have a mk1 and she loved it. I am not fussed about model snobbery you get the same with MR2's. I like the mk1 and mk3 but the mk2 is awful. Anyway can't go for a cheap one as I want something I can do a swop on the 300c since it's not selling so something valued £13500-14000 is the ideal. So let's see what I can fanangle at the stealers. Thanks again for the advice and pictures
-
I'm pretty sure you can. Cool thats a selling point in its self - looking better and better
-
Lucy wants to know if you can turn the passenger airbag off ? .........(told you!)
-
Thanks Digsy and Jim - appreciate your info - seems like the 2lt is the one to go for after all and lower the springs. Digsy nice of you to offer a drive I would be scared to prang it though mate Will have a surf around the stealers and see if they can do a straight swop for the tank maybe? I am not worried about luggage space remember I have lived with an MR2 Roadster for 3 years - travelling light is second nature to me now! Thanks again seems like a strong contender - think Lucy will be wanting to borrow it constantly (do they have isofix!)
-
HI folks the car sales market is as flat as a pancake at the mo so its looking like I might have to go down the part ex route and since they stopped making MR2's the other option is the new shape MX5 probably on a 2008 plate? Just wondered if anyone has owned or driven one? I understand the 2.0lt engine is the better one to go for? Still not 100% keen on the bullfrog front of it but can live with that as the rest is ok? Whats the MPG like (motorway wise?) and is it a good cruiser ? Any foibles with the folding tin top? Thanks in advance?

Surely a 'Jag' should have special cats They are special cats they squeek instead of meaoooow
-
Deffo No - think we have all tried! You would have thought by 2007 they would have upgraded it but then it still has a tape player so..... Just get a Ipod instead.
-
This thread is like an old friend - just keeps going in the background!! Chesterfield think you should buy my 300C - its not perfect but its a hell of a lot better built than that JAg crap! Now look what you have done to us all? Everytime I hear that stupid Radio ad - The Jaguar has won loads of awards and if its not good we will have to give them back bla de blah... he he start giving them back fools!
-
I think it looks ok - mockup or not - but I agree the current crop of Scoobies looks so pants ! I know they wanted to get away from the bad boy scroat image but the 'retired with Tartan Rug shops at Lidl' look is'nt much better!
-
Yo Andreas ... Were fine thanks hope your both ok? Paaaaannndaaa poweeeeeer! Wasso those modded bugs take some serious skill to do especially with a chopped roof look mean indeed. No need to explain about cars we take fleet insurance at our house and once upon a time we had 2 Zeds parked on the drive also... Enjoy your zed and remember there is always room for a teeny seenu Beetle in everyones life
-
Aye Whizzard Roadsters - you can pick them up for pennies now - I've been on the scene since '86 remember when they came out! You will be surprised how cheap Beetles are now - they have lost favour - Vans are the in thing - weird but I vowed never to get a Baywindow bus and here I am ...... Get one mate you wont regret it - www.carandclassic.co.uk re: interior I've gone for a classic 50/60's type look really cool blue and cream ,no time to keep modding it got a baby girl to bring up - finally learnt my lessons sometimes you need to stop and just enjoy the things you have otherwise you will just spend spend spend, polish and never use the damn thing! Anyway get your self off to Leeds next sunday www.vwfestival.co.uk you might just spot something you like
