  1. Yo Stew !! welcom back Woohooo Re: Jukeski - well it probably does'nt come across that well on photos but in the flesh it has a certain something - you need to see one really? Like I said love it or hate it for £12.5K its not a bad price compared to other offerings but just that little bit more unique - nice one Nissan for having the b@lls to do something like this - just spend a bit of money on the interior and you will wipe the competition overnight!
  2. Thanks Dave - think we need to update this thread a lot of new folks joined over the last few months! Blimey I need to update mine too since I have changed from 1 van to another and from a barge to a hairdrier!
  3. We were passing West way Nissan Oldham today so bobbed over to see if they had one in? The grand opening is tomorrow but there was one parked up so we had a peep. As with a lot of cars recently its a love it or hate it car - well.........strangely enough we like it (over all!) Its odd looking to be sure with the Micra and Cashcow parked either side of it - I kept thinking it looked small like the Micra but in fact its more Cashcow sized and actually very roomy inside! Now remember its 2010 and even Korean cars have fairly decent looking plastics - well some of them on the Juke look a bit erm how can say this .... yes Cheap! Personally I would not choose Black - it needs a nice colour to set it off like Night Blue for example - otherwise it blends into the background. Its really odd in a parts bin special - you can see elements of the rest of the Nissan range in it - the roof is very GTR/370 like for example and the centre console and dash is dare I say it 370Z ish but a poorer plastic version with cheap looking gold/plastichrome splashes here and there - shame it was'nt real alloy. The glove box is about the right size to fit a sandwhich box and nothing else. There is bags of room up front but the rear although spacious is not good if your tallish I am not giant, 5ft 11 but my head just touched the ceiling in the back. The high window line and copious use of black plastic makes the interior especially the back a bit dull and claustaphobic, which is a shame - all they need is a splash of colour and it will be transformed. The boot is actually quite practical and large with a false floor to stick your dead bodies in etc the seats fold flat. No spare just foam though I think with a nice set of 18inch Alloys even a set of 350Z Nismos it would really look the biz. We did'nt go for a drive it was just a quick look and the sale guy let us have a sit inside. He was bragging how its the fastest selling Nissan before its even been released ! Well anyway short of a test drive I think the one to go for is 1.6TD petrol at 190bhp. Prices start at £12500 for the base and up to £20+ I understand for some fancy top end 4x4 job? Over all we both liked it - a little bit of alloy bling would really transform it and yes lowering and spacers would really make it start out. We actually prefered it over the new Cube (but not the old one) So its a wait for 3 years job and buy one for £7K then I think... Here it is - sorry crappy Wonderphone pics only Look at the size comparision between the Micra and Cashcow?
  4. Beavis thats great - yes they are worth a fortune today I think! I think you need to post that in my Memory Lane thread mate as the oldest car on the forum! viewtopic.php?f=21&t=24144&hilit=memory+lane Now have you kept all your Triange and Hornby train sets - they will be worth a fortune too!
  5. Just gets better and better Colin and as you know I love those Nismos too!
  6. Looks like a great car - dont be surprised about the market I had trouble selling my 300C had to drop the price substancially before anyone bothered to call - its a buyers market. But this sounds like a good price - good luck with the sale mate
  7. Looks like another great run out - when Colin say's spirited he really does mean spirited - do not be fooled by the mild mannered exterior when he is behind a steering wheel even light slows down!! Dont forget he's been racing for a long time and knows his onions! Once again I am missing my Zed when I see these pics but happy with our teeny Mixy in the meantime
  8. Saw one at a stealers carpark last week as drive past looks like a 370z on serious drugs with that roof line! Lucy think they look quite cool in an alternative way? Yet to see one properly maybe I will end up doing a mini review again like the Cube?
  9. I know how the hell can you forget about that - I mean they were not cheap anyway in the 70's !!! I used to have the small version - the Chipper in the same yellow- still have the bell in the garage!!!
  10. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140452515296&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Bit of a find indeed but honestly the price is mad!
  11. Excellent - wish I was with you but working today - have a great day/weekend out there and be careful in the wet
  12. Funny but quite a lot of zed owners work shifts or offshore? Either way you ask them anyway and you check all the paperwork etc carefully.
  13. Standard factory alloys are just painted. There is nothing wrong with just using celly on them. If your worried get them done in 2k but you can get a good finish with just aerosol. Paint clearcoat lacquer on them to seal it in then poorvoys wax in a couple of weeks time on top and they should last.
  14. Oh Nixy had an accident with some water I will let her explain the story!
  15. Unfortunately I dont have my Zed anymore so cant check the screen area but guessing its a plastic cover where the wipers are you would need to take that off (and the wiper arms) to see if there is any water damage - or obvious gunge underneath? Personally I would'nt bother - I would go to a Nissan dealer and get them to check it over for you - the body is covered for 12 year anti rust warranty regardless who owns it so see what they say. It wont cost you or the stealers anything to sort anyway .... let us know how you get on.
  16. GORF??? dont remember the name but did a google search and soon as I saw that screen - yup played to death!! Just 1 thing to jog more VIC memories for you! 10 print 'Hello' 20 goto 10 Erm ....... Nixy there was a dodgy version of to so to speak (Your dad!!!)
  17. What about Blue Meanies for the VIC 20 I used to have to load that from cassette everytime!
  18. +1 - it could have been in a water incident like Nixy's Try to look at some metal elsewhere on the car - like the floor sills etc to see if that has the same look? Otherwise has the windscreen been replaced at some point and the muppet has'nt filled it correctly - hence water leaking past the seals ? This is all covered still by Nissan's bodywork warranty so get to a stealers. Does the car smell damp at all ? Wet dog smell?
  19. Ha funny remembering all this stuff - you lot have far too good memories!!
  20. I like my wonder phone 3GS and will probably upgrade next year to the 4 when contract finishes but even though googlemaps is handy if your really stuck somewhere without satnat - dont bother buy a cheap dedicated SATNAV - they are so cheap now.
  21. Old school indeed I will get onto VIC 20's and BBC Model B's in a sec!
