  1. Cool glad it reached you in good condition mate! I quite fancy one myself now
  2. Just look on Autotrader and get the Micra - they are rock solid cars cheap to insure tax and run - if your main driving is just short local trips then a diesel is'nt the best choice. Diesels are best for long trips their mog on short trips is pants in my experience - even the new ones. They generally cost more to service and take longer to warm up in winter. But if your doing high miles then get one....simples
  3. If you get the MK2 Micra Sport - that will fly - you will be surprised how quick they are !
  4. Dont forget you can use all the old Cannon lenses too (film ones) the focal length will be different to what it says on the side normally 1.5x the power but they will be cheap as chips! Worth a try
  5. People pleople why are you focusing (no pun intended) on the video capabilities of the camera - an SLR camera has to be good at taking static pictures first above anything else the HD video is just a gimmic, you will always get better results with a camcorder for video , although its nice to have both in the same unit I agree. Cannon are good camera - I prefer them over Nikon who I personally think have been cutting costs recently and on some of their cameras it shows. Good luck with your camera and once in a while ask her to play with the manual settings to see what results she gets - remember an auto setting does'nt cover every light condition they get fooled a lot
  6. For £500 you can get a lot of older sheds that are still good but unloved. If it was me I would get the older shape Micra or VW Polo or dare I say it Corsa
  7. Excellent write up you will have to continue such musings with the Porker.

  9. You can go for the standard big boys offerings but as a long term Pentax lover have a peep at theirs the K-x for example. I am waiting for the K7 to drop in price. If you have a Costco card pop down they have the Panasonic Lumix for a good price
  10. Happy Birthday Lucy ! Lots of love from me and Ania
  11. I drive past one on the local stealers every day - its very prominent in its location but its an odd car - sort of Lotus Europa rear end and well corporate front end? There is usually a Twengo parked next to it - makes it look even smaller!
  12. thats what I have done in the past. Have 12 months left on this contract so not doing anything until then.
  13. Have a shuftie - I am sure there is a catch but if you get £100 back it almost pays for the phone? http://www.topcashback.co.uk/e2save/
  14. So why did'nt they just build them as they were designed for the concept - some of them are ace - I love the 'Jetsons' 1950/60's ones and I think UFO TV series took some ideas from the 70's ones! I had a Figaro for a while cool cars but too slow and bouncy! The Essense is still my fave shame they wont build it now? That Jikoo thing is great!
  15. Aye seen it on my travels whilst searching for Datsun 100a. Look nice very yank of the period. I might join the Datsun oc yet?

  19. ha ha nice one still cheaper than the real thing! Ok Andy up to you decide which colour you want and I will get it next week mate
  20. If you look on the picture of the rear seats there is no way for the isofix seat base to sit flat on the seat. Normal seats have the base meet the back at the same level as the base so to speak - so the isofix loops meet up with the seat base catches, however in the G35 the seat back is higher than the base - hence the seatbase would'nt sit correctly in there. I know G35's dont have isofix but when you fit a seat base you extend the catches under the back anyway and loop the seatbelt through ( I am talking about the Maxi - cosi seat base here folks) this makes the base very stable and solid - better in fact than if you use the loops alone. Secondly I think the floor is too shallow for the leg to extend in the seat base Hope this makes sense? We found that fitting the babyseat alone without a base just using a seat belt - was unsatisfactory - just wobbled about and did'nt feel secure at all? Just noticed also the angle of the seat base is too high - hence Ania would be leaning forward too much!
  21. Nice one mate - I am tempted myself - dont you think the orange one is better than the yellow ones they had? See Andy thats the best one to go for? Its a really well modeled erm model I think and a bargain at that price? Look at those dough nut tyres - class
