We had a nice time at the Manchester Christmas market on Saturday thought I would share some pictures. Stew and Jayne braved the snow to pop down for the weekend (safe journey back you two ) I understand Mike and Chesterfield were also at the market this weekend - we did'nt see them but guessing they did not see much of the market other than the Beer Keller! If you've never been to a Christmas market before , try the Manchester one its worth the trip - take the tram or a taxi though (it finishes on the 21st December.) A few pics along the way - you have to get your mulled wine and spicy hotdogs here followed by Cherry Strudel Manchesters Zippy Father Christmas (likes his pies me thinks! ) Nessie must have followed Stew down - probably wanted a spicy hot dog? Sounds like the issue with the 350 - i,e you need to prop the boot release up with pennies! Some things dont change - if its in warranty get the stealers to fix it for you

I know with my track record I am not best placed to comment on what's cool and trendy but it's actually a cool car. You have to see one it's better in the tin so to speak like a 370. The only disappointment is the interior in the back is very black plastic dull costcutting Nissan special. They look better in bright colours or White , in black they just disappear into the background. We would have one

With all the panic stories I thought choose traction (Van) over heating (MX5) this morning. I even dug out my Ski jacket to keep warm but looking out of the window at my orange icecube on wheels and thought naaa sod it will take my trust in Michellin Pilot sports and Mazda's traction control. The hardest thing I had to do is defrost the windscreen!

I think we need to chill here - the aircon pumps from ye olden days were massive things akin to washing machine motors the newer stuff is far more efficient. The Zed remember has a 3.5 Lt V6 - this has massive torque (like a diesel really)- it is not a Nissan Micra 1.0 engine. If you have the aircon on all the time then yes it will help to drink some of your petrol more so around town driving, on the motorway I not very much. So dont worry too much about the aircon being on -it will hardly make that much difference to your fuel bill, well I never really noticed much difference when I had my ragtop and as Mart says Ragtop owners tend to fog up quicker than tintops. In fact it was too damn efficent and I used to switch it off once the snowman appeared in the other seat!

Just a few points to remember - you are limited by law to 55mph for the trailer and the transporter (is restricted to 55) so consider that if you have far to travel. (I speak from experience) . if you passed your test before 1995 I you can drive the 3.5Tonner transporters otherwise no. Price for transporter is about what Martin mentioned but just ensure they tell you how everything works properly with the hydraulics etc and be careful with them! I borrowed one locally - most hire places do them. Good luck

Unfortunately as has been mentioned it's the running costs and that massive tax bill that have put many off buying the 370 an of course stigma of the Nissan badge( we know better!) I really hope Nissan don't go with mercedez talk about bad to worse! New crossfire? You mean new fiat? Before I sold my 300c, I read that Chrysler had decided to keep the same underpinnings for the next 10 years on all their cars but use Fiat engine tech to save on costs and share more parts etc . Think all Manufacturers will be doing that in the future. There will always be a Market for sports cars but subject to running costs and the general feeling about the economy. Personally I think the electric car concepts are a waste of time until battery technology improves. Give it 10 years then we should have something interesting to drive.
