stanski replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Coincidentally just downloaded that one? Chris I would speak to people but when your sat in a tedious works meeting it does'nt look very professional to be talking to your mate about how boring a meeting you are in (during the meeting!) -

In case you are the owner of this car I would like to point out that your reckless driving on Friday near ASDA Woodchurch road,Birkenhead caused an accident!! You were seen racing a Porsche at that area about 16:30 , and subsequently caused a tail end shunt due to people trying to avoid you! My mate in fact! Hope you lose your licence pal , your not doing 350Z owners any favours! If you want to race cars do it on a track you muppet!

just seen the news! Those poor people, seeing the water wash across the land it's like someone pouring water over a sandcastle and nothing stopping it. cars floating past like little toys and also massive boats pushed under bridges and capsized. It's just impossible to comprehend? Poor sods.

No way I hate those things!!! They are the work of the devil! I spend my life working on computers last thing I want is to use them when I go to the scroat Market . They always try to get you to use them but I make a point of telling them how much I hate them. I would rather go to the till where Janet or Doreen is sat there willing to help you get your shopping scanned at super fast speed, sure she is bored and fed up but some of them are actually quite nice and helpful honest . They do this all day I don't. I have to look at the product and find the barcode, swipe it 5 times before if takes it and of course they never work with own brand fresh baked doughnuts as the label is duff, so you still have to wait for Maureen with her over ride keys and gives you a dirty look because you are the problem not the crappy barcode labels! So stuff the autotills that talk to you with a 500 Decibel volume ' place the item in the bagging area' I will stick a soddin lump hammer in your bagging area in a minute!! It's the 5 minute delay between every action ..... I know they eventually want all the tills to go the same so its cheaper for them but hey are no where near as entertaining as the till girls and the best bit is they open the carrier bags for you - I still can't suss those puppies , made for robot hands not human me thinks? Rant over - auto till get lost !

Rained over night but roads dry in morning. Maybe they were doing something stupid !??
-
My mate has text me to say there is a silver zed near Wythenshaw on M56 this morning - trashed ! Looks like it slid along the Armco for a while and did all the panels on the drivers side? About 07:40 this morning youngish dark hairded guy - hope its not one of you lot?

Hahaha thats funny they should lose some weight then the fat bartenders!! Thanks for the info wookie Andreas I know you love your Panda ... We shall see what transpires..... of course this means I would have to sell the MX5

Yes she had a proper Works cooper S - with cooper number plate and all the toys but had a lot of issues with them, the dealers, parts are extortionate and got rid in the end because of it. We like the exposed metal (is it metal or plastic?) like mentioned before we like the old school retro style its just such a breath of fresh air from the dark grey plastic lined biscuit tins today? Funny about Fiat Dealers being crap - she went to the stealers up the road and basically the sales guy just ignored her ! Maybe in the sales world by the time you hit a Fiat job you have reached the bottom of the sales ladder and just dont care (probably the same at Aston and Jag stealers though) so which ones are good ?? Chrysler were ironically to me when I had the 300C but we are getting off topic - long term living with it so far is what I want to know - how many times you had to take it back and fix the bits that fell off?
-
No its cool mate - thanks for taking the time
-
Had a read hmm not really what I am after - just want a long term review - if your embarressed folks just PM me instead I have a beetle, camper, datsun cherry, mx5 - do I care what people think of me nope - lifes too short - just enjoy it!
-
Interesting? Wonder why? Has Vauxhall offered them a very sweet deal? Mayhbe they cant supply in time or the service is P*** poor? Lexx I will try to find that thread yeah seem to remember Zedrush buying then selling shortly after?
-
Thanks Stew that blue is the colour she likes - you know we like the retro look.. I remember sitting in one when they came out and my head touched the headling in the back and I am not tall! She has sat in one and pram and Ania fit quite nicely so lets see? Just more worried about build qulity and known issues? What are they like to live with?
-
Dont think she likes the look of the Panda ? As long as she does'nt buy a pink one I am not fussed! We both like old cars although I did offer to buy her an original 500 - she didnt seem too keen? I had a Figaro once so anything else is butch by comparison! Just wait till I get my 100a back on the road
-
Lucy is considering changing to a 500 - the 1.4 Lounge or maybe the new 'twin-air 2cyl' version? I know a few on here owned them (zedrush?) so just wanted any advice or experience long term? Are they still holding firm with Fiats traditional core values, duff build, cheap plastics, unreliable electrics etc etc 'rust'! Had a peep on the fiat owners forum and there is mention of suspension issues on some models but otherwise think they are more concerned about how much petrol they can save when driving them? Panda owners seem to be quite content and its based on the same car so does that mean its actually good? The Abarth version is also a consideration but looking at prices think they will be as costly as running a Zed? Any info gratefully received Muchos thanks

Hi can anyone recommend a decent place for petrol tank repairs in the Manchester area? (or in fact North Wales /chester region also) Its for my Datsun dont fancy welding it myself rather the pro's did it? Thanks in advance
