  1. Thanks mate I never really left still keep my toe in the water so to speak - once you smell 350z petrol or Alex's exploding petrol you dont forget
  2. You secret squirall Colin! Well you are 2 of the nicest people we have ever met - so you must be doing something right
  3. After 3 years, this weekend we finally went out together just me and Lucy!. Lucy's mum babysat (we dont normally have anyone to babysit) So I could have kept my Zed just for this weekend! However 3 years is a a long time? A lot of expensive, tyres, servicing, tax, insurance and of course petrol on top probably would have crippled my finances. I do miss it though.Wonder if its been recycled as a washing machine yet? There are 2 Zeds in the works car park I have carded them but not sure they signed up - oh well their loss eh.
  4. Oh Beavis I dont know those? We met on the my first Krispey Kremes meet I organised! Thats it guys - get organising a meet somewhere you never know what will happen! Maybe it was the sugar rush from those dough nuts!
  5. We met on this club forum ! Officially the first 350Z couple and first 350Z baby! Unfortunately we both had to sell our Zeds
  6. Having a tidy up and came across an old copy of Banzai mag with me, Lucy and Chris chatting (August 2009) and my car on page 130. Just wondered if it still alive or now a recycled washing machine?
  7. It is called Night Blue guys ( tut tut- how many times....... ) Personally I think that colour needs a bit of chrome to help set it off, so at least have the wheels with a polished lip if you are colour coordinating. Totally unbiased but its still my fave colour Wonder where my old one is these days? DN07 *** Good luck with your choice.
  8. Shame we cant come and say hi, working the weekend. Hope you all have a great time, they were fun times on the Wales run.
  9. Hi I want to create a family website for myself with some part being public (more as a historical archive) and something for my daughter when she grews up so she knows her family history whilst i can still remember stuff and have access to photos etc So i would like to ask the gurus on here if they can suggest a reliable and secure provider etc that offers a good deal on hosting my own site? Someone has mentioned Googlesites and its free etc but there must be some catch? Any ideas greatfully received. Thank you in advance.
  10. Woooho!!! Well done you two Good luck to you both in the future i wish you all the best

  13. Well done Nic. 370? Thought you would go straight for a GTR
  14. Oh the old Ragtop-Tintop debate again! I loved mine and yes it had a fatter ar** but dont you prefer a girl with some shape ! It is quieter than the coupe and contrary to popular belief stiffer than the tintop - What car does Alex race? Lots more luggage space too. Agreed they could have done a nicer job with the roof line but with roof up from the back it looks like a 50's Hot Rod Just buy one you wont regret it. Edit - I also like the 370 ragtop ....took a while but think I prefer it over the tintop... dont even mind the tall headrests - look better in the flesh than on photos
  15. Bit confused here? The wheels are alloy which does not rust? The bolts can rust as they are steel. The inner wheel hub will rust as its steel. So remove wheel, clean inside with a rag and something like wash and wax - an old tooth brush is ideal. Failing that maybe some t-cut on the toothbrush. The hub would need treating with a wire brush first as mentioned, then something like smoothrite ( hammerite flakes off) or similar. I use Por metal ready rust remover and cleaner for surface rust, dissolves rust then coats with zinc. Hope this helps?
  16. I hope its not somebody on here! Surely its difficult to roll a 370? On the plus side the roof must be strong as it remained fairly intact just the front was mush!
  17. Thanks everyone for your kind words. Andy the engine is out of the van at the moment just replacing a few bits then we can finally visit you in the Lakes.
  18. You were thrashed by a Nissan Cube my friend ! Car looked good with LED fairly lights on the front.
  19. Hi I just wanted to say thanks to the people on here who sent me advice and shared their own personal experiences, when my mum went into hospital at Christmas. My mum is home now seems to be back to her old self. It was a traumatic 2 months for us all but there really is light at the end of the tunnel.. The reason I hang around this forum like a bad smell is the great people that are here. The Zed is a great car indeed but the people are the best. Thank you again.
  20. You were driving from BAE I was the orange vw camper that was throwing mud and fumes at you - hahaha
  21. I am glad i do not need to lose weight until then!! Thanks for your help all sorted now.
