Thanks mate thats cheaper than a recon one I saw earlier on fleabay!

£1200 for the pump and 4 hours labour plus a new filter (they must be at least £4?) plus additive. Madness....
-
No chance mate, will ask my mate to do it and hopefully he can source a suitable pump. As an aside my Vw camper fuel pump is £16. There are 2x 13mm nuts and it takes me ooh about 5 mins to swop!
-
Had it diagnosed at Nissan. They think the fuel pump is breaking up since they found debris in the fuel filter? So that £2000 for the job! Wtf! On the hunt for recon pump or from a breakers! The buggers getting sold after this! ;-( 370z it is then...

Haha thanks ok at least thats 1 tick off the worry list. I love the intelligent key when it works great idea. Thanks guys. -
Thanks Alex I am very depressed now! My mehanic mate has mentioned how expensive these dpf's are before and what he hd to do in the past! I am preying its something simple and cheap! Either way its deffo my last diesel I hate the buggers!

My 2007 Sport Pathfinder has intelligent key. When it works its ace especially when its peeing it down you have both hands full simples. But! It does not work when I need it the most, ie when its blowing a gale, peeing it down so hard Noah is sailing past, so i need to use the key on the passenger door, which sets the alarm off of course! 370 owners please tell me your version is reliable and does not eat fob batteries either?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. No warning lights, no smoke, fuel filter about 5 months old. It seems to be ok when engine cold but after 20 or do mins thats when things start going wrong? I just tried it now and it revved up ok over 3krpm. Managed to get hold of mechanic mate who will check it tomorrow. He thinks the same as you: EGR, vacuum leaks, intercooler pipe crack, or DPF? This is my last ever Diesel ! V6 petrol again after this, trouble is it needs fixing first to sell (hopefully part ex against a 370 all being well) ;-) Thanks again will update after we find out tomortow hopefully?

Hi folks sorry to post non zed but any advice gratefully received. My 2007 2.5dci diesel Pathfinder has been a bit jumpy recently. It's starting to hesitate at motorway speeds, when I accelerate around the 60ish mph and above with revs getting above 2000 and up I put my foot down but nothing happens its like the turbo hesitates and does not want to spin up , then a few moments later it picks up but it's very random? No smoke and the turbo is still working it just seems to be losing power at the higher rev band? I had a turbo go on my old X Trail so I know what that's like this is different? I Know sod all about diesels but I am guessing there might be some vacuum pipe or control valve sticking or not working maybe? Any ideas? Had a look in the engine bay and can't see anything obviously loose, missing or blackened? It's been serviced properly and has 64k on the clock. Many thanks in advance.

370z long timers? Is life still good with your shark?

For completeness .... I have always fancied a Maserati Gran Tourismo. Yes yes I know but bare with me. £100k car new, now on a 2007 plate about £30k. Hmm a few more years £20k? The tax is £490! Yes £490?? Insurance quote I got £750! So tell me why I used to pay £690 fr my ragtop 350z? Mad! Tyres about £260 but figure I can shop around? Daft I know but 4 seats, looks the dogs, long distance cruiser and there is an independant service place in Manchester! The mpg is the same as my diesel Pathfinder! Ok I am justifying it to myslef but one day who knows..... -

You still working in Ewloe ? Sounds odd , but if so PM me, cos after a 'few' years chatting online I should buy you lunch. Old farts can do that. (retired so might be able to find a little time for you ) I am for now but they will be moving the office back to Scouseland probably next year ! Better get my farm shop orders in before its too late! Thanks that is very kind of you. Retired? Naaa thats is just a frame of mind - you dont have time you are busy with a toothbrush cleaning the tread on the zed! -

Hey Colin good to hear from you. House move? Finally going to the coast as you wanted? Colin although you are a fast expert driver you never labour or thrash a car so doubt the whine was down to your driving style? I guess your brakes last forever as I never see your break lights! There will always be cakes available for everyone when we finally get to a meet, even if its in my Datsun 100a! Like you I appreciate the zeds and so the 370 is the natural choice? I quite fancy a white one for a change? Or black Rose? Wish they did Interlagos fire!! Hopefully we can get to a meet sometime this year- all waiting on the building society now... I have gone off g37's just dont have enough of a look for me, although its the obvious compromise? I need to fin out when your next Northern meets are, might sneak in when you are not looking hehe -

Hi thanks for the kind words and welcome everyone. I never left just been trying to sell the house, been a nightmare! Almost there so maybe in a years time I could think about a 370? Who knows.. Andy only just seen your pm! Sorry. A Gtr would be fab btw Alex but I think about servicing cost and start to cry. Mind you I would love a Maserati Gran Tourismo , they arw cheaper than Gtr's now on autotrader but again servicing even via an independent would be silly money? Lets see how the house move goes (fingers crossed) has taken nearly 12 months to sell! But if we get the new house , double garage, big drive space for Datsuns... -
