  1. Hmmm nice but a bit of a cocks car in white My mate has a Scooby Legacy B4 RSK - twin turbo blah de blah from the 90's import - its a bit of a stealth lump I have to say looks cool.
  2. Ha funny you should mention Integra - I do like them also especially that later model but FWD ?? FWD how camp is that (he says driving a Chocolate coloured Cube)
  3. Hi Bronzee I still love the Cube dont worry but I do miss having somethig that handles a bit better. I supposed a suspension drop and stiffer shocks help but its not a car to treat like that Chris I keep looking at G35's (there is one near where I live - Silver - yaaaawn) but compared to a Rex its no contest. Anyway with suicide doors I can fit even more cakes - and loads more in the Cube !! Even the Infinity stealer at Stockport has a white Cube on the forecourt. Keep researching and well Uncle Lexx's supercharger idea sounds good - wonder if Alex has the spares.....
  4. yes the Infinity G35 or skylines whatever you want - but £6K for auto's they are all sodding silver autos! The odd rare blue manual pops up but its £1500 more and it has the earlier engine. I liked my 313 engine. I just dont think they are worth the money to be fair. So cashwise the Rex wins hands down (plus its got a superior interior fit and finish) But enough dreaming lets do some research and well realistically the Cube stays until I can justify something like a Rex. Family guy now!
  5. I did not say I hated them, just you need an oil tanker in convoy The interiors are superb, it has space for 4, and the seats I looked at them before I got the Zed..... and I just did not like the fact you had to rev the just off it to have some fun. There were only 2 things that annoyed me - the waiting for the engine to warm up if you just wanted to move it a few yards before switch off and the fact that a car requiring regular oil checks and top ups did'nt have an oil filler by the front wing!
  6. super charger? hmm interesting.... are they reliable or do they blow the engine up!
  7. Thanks mate. The one reason why I held off buying one second hand before was not knowing how it had been treated /mistreated. I treated mine very well like I do all my cars but you used to see them by the roadside bonnets up - fools not topping up the oil etc! Thanks for the advice. Ha Rex I wondered if you were online There really is nothing like it for all round practicality and fun and well the price. I still miss mine. Maybe do some proper research and see what the issues are and if I can live with that? Well there enough on the road so they cant al be that bad can they? Good to hear from you Lexx
  8. Only one reason.... I can't take it with me .... moving to Vancouver Take it with you containers are not that expensive - you getting one over there ? Good luck btw with the move I drove a lefty over here once ..... so I aint driving a righty over there Cheers Stan .... can't wait Make sure you keep in touch and send pictures over. Guy I work with just came back from living there - only because his wife wanted to see family etc but I know he is itching to get back - sounds like a good place /country to live. Andrew It has to be 4 seats and boot, jap (no bleedin beemers I cant stand them) or Golfs or Seats or you get the picture! Worse case I get a 300C again (with a warranty extension) I liked my Rex they were'nt that bad on fuel and they are super cheap now.
  9. Only one reason.... I can't take it with me .... moving to Vancouver Take it with you containers are not that expensive - you getting one over there ? Good luck btw with the move
  10. yes but the Zed only has 2 seats! Thats why the G35 was a consideration. I would need to do more research really been away from Rex's for a while now. What compression issues? Why is everyone selling their zeds? Hey if I was to get a zed again it would only be Interlagos fire or Night Blue my absolute fave colours! But hey airbags my friends are not my friend in the Zed.
  11. Hi mate They were'nt that bad - well considering! I only get about mid 20's in the van and I use that for work. Then its the oil top ups - were a faff as it was always in the peeing rain and blowing a gale but I did love the way it handled and the washing machine motor noise Why you selling yours?
  12. Its all too easy to have a quick shuftie on the Autotrader App whilst watching some dull programme on the telly! I notice how zed prices have dropped significantly... but worse RX8 prices good grief! Yet G35 prices seem to be stable (for a manual anyway in something other than Silver!) Since I am working from home more these days that petrol hit is not as bad as it used to be when I had my Zed. Its very tempting to get a Zed again (Night Blue of course) Coupe this time I think? But.... no airbag switch off for baby seat and I dont want to mess with it for obvious safety reasons (that old thread still doing the rounds I see?) So if I was going back into sports motoring my obvious choice is a Rex again. Same as I had black 231 with red/black interior. Great as nobody likes that colour combination. I just need to convince Lucy, the pram and assorted paraphanalia for a holiday trip will fit in the boot etc (I know it will I had one before!!) but.... can I go back to the roadtax and insurance expense? My cube is sooo cheap practical and cool. The G35 is off the list - far too expensive to buy/run etc and they dont do them in the 313 engine. So Rex it is one day - have you seen how cheap they are? To think I got one brand new when they came out (crazy fool that I was) If I do get a Rex can I still come to the meets if I sticky tape a Zed badge over the top? Colin will no doubt have to teach me how to drive it correctly
  13. Good luck mate - there is life after zeds , dont be a stranger on here?
  14. Erm not from a works PC!!!
  15. Hi Mike be good to get a sugar fix Chris prey tell what is anti-bonk food??!!!!!
  16. Hi Andy We will meet up and we will visit you - oh dont you worry about that! I dont want to ditch any of them for goodness sakes we want to move house so we can store them in a nice big garage!!! But lets see ... Are you really 3 hours away? Even in a super fast Cube
  17. Stanski sensible when it comes to cars - pull the other one Hi Colin good to hear from you. Yes we are all well thanks Ania is 20 months old now, cant beleive it. You are also correct about my car fettish - i sometimes think about ditching the lot and keeping the van and my old beetle!! I saw a nice G35 this morning and although tempting i think of the zed running costs again Btw you should do racing at Silverstone Colin give them all a good run for their money... They were braking the soft wooosies , you would'nt have to with your skill level.
  18. Hi everyone thanks for the warm welcome. Still the best and friendliest forum anywhere. Chris dont sell you will regret it (like me). Silverstone- Lucy wanted to go as its her birthday during the week, nothing really other than last race of touring cars today. I have never been before, was tempted to take Jason Plato on in my Cube but decided against it! Maccaman- me voice of reason sir? We have a small fleet of vehicles! I feel a cull looming maybe next year - sensible streak returning. Funny but a lady took a picture of us driving down today in the cube on the M40. Probably to use as bargaining material with her kids ' if you dont behave i will buy you one of these!!' Chris , cakes always available 'oop north' if your passing with Amanda.
  19. yes they do look a bit off putting I suppose thats the idea to make you think! Mind you how many people bother to check Chassis numbers etc?
  20. Hi folks thought I would try to up my post count by at least 1 this year! Hope your all zedding happily and the tax man is not taking too much cash out of your wallets running Zeds! Have I missed anything exciting on the forum? Any new White goods incidents, loss of wheels at Knockhill, Jaguar car quality issues, loss of traction at roundabouts and close relations with hedges! I had such big plans this year... a) Van - repair leaking roof, make up new interior (erm...some but... no) MX5 - oh yes sold! c) New alloys and lowering Cube (erm ..no) d) Start on resto of the Datsun 100a (I started the engine......) e) Go to Hoon meet (Work messed that up for me) f) Visit certain Scottish members (as above) g) Get training at work and payrise (hahahahahahaaaaa....) h) Go to Krispy Kreme meet in Trafford (Chris!!!) i) Organise meet at Infiniti dealer in Stockport (Sorry folks gone off them now have seen from M60 - Fugly!) j) Do a bit on Lucy's Wolseley 1500 (erm anyway...) k) Visit certain Lakes members (hahahaaaa..... 1 Day my friend) l) Bring up daughter number 1 (yes!! wooohooo) As you can see I have been very busy! Looks like we are off to Silverstone tomorrow all being well so I get to see some fast cars, its all new to me (before Colin chips in!) Hope your all keeping well?
  21. well they moved the cars out of the showroom and today they moved them back in again - still building so far - will keep an eye on it as I pass by! If we are up for a KK meet in the meantime then subject to date would like to go?
  22. Thanks Lexx just thought the manchester boys might be interested in a meet there? Krispey kremes is only up the road worse case( Chris???!!) Just seen how much a G37 is £36k+. Ouch!!
  23. From seamingly nowhere this place has just appeared next to the M60. Today i saw it populated with cars. I see a few threads about these up and down the country but wondered if anyone is interested in visiting this one? i suppose i can pretend the Cube is a prototype 350 of sorts?? One day a G37 could be on the cards....
  24. I love DAB radio so many better stations that fm now. Have been looking for a way to have DAB in the car for ages, the proper radios are still very expensive and you need the extra aerial also. Well forget that i just purchased this radio from ASDA this week £25 what a bargain. http://direct.asda.com/ASDA-E80210-Pers ... lt,pd.html ( same price in the stores) It looks like a fat iphone i know but its actually really good. The plastic is cheap and will probably scratch but the reception is excellent. 10 presets to store your faves. It takes 2x AAA batteries, i just use rechargables. The headphones are its aerial and well it just actually works. Its also FM if you want to flick over. I made up a 3.5mm jack to jack plug lead and stuck it in the aux input on mine(not zed but Cube and Camper) and works fine. Drove through Manchester to wales and scouse land no loss of signal. Radio6 and Planet Rock was crystal clear. Give it a try.
  25. Damn damn damn another fab hoon by the looks of things. Sniff sniff sniff.... Maybe next year now will a V6 fit in my Cube? Fab weather too - every year about early sept ita always fab up there. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Andy do you want to borrow my hippy camper now your a long haired friend of Jesus Good to see familiar faces on these pics. Cars look ace as usual.
