  1. Thanks mate, sounds like a keeper then? Loved my 350 but family had to come first, now a 2 seater is almost a possible and once a Datsun man always a Datsun man!
  2. Hi I was just curious as 370's have been around for a while now, all those who swopped from a 350, did you still love it? Have there been any common issues with them? Seeing how prices have fallen for second hand ones, they are starting to creep into my price bracket a little? Maybe in a year or 2 I would be tempted back into Zed motoring? Are petrol tyre costs on a par with 350's? Many thanks Stan
  3. Oh dear this is souding like the usual 350z - RX8 thread! I have sat in a S2000 when they came out new. My mate who is 6foot tall with the seat right back cant fit in it! I did leave an S2000 for dead uphill in my 350 (313) roadster , but they are chalk and cheese like a lot of these comparisons. Everyone likes different things, the only way is to try them both. The zed is a solid balls out machine(313 engine has plenty of torque and quite refined). The previous engines are far nore revvy and I fin engaging to drive. The S2000 will be similar to the RX8 I used to have in that you need to rev the pants off it, get to the sweet spot and it flies like a soddin jet engined plane! The S2000 will probably want to kill you quicker than the Zed but you cant compare them. Try both and see what fits your personal taste. They are both great cars for different reasons. Enjoy them. Oh dont forget RX8's but second hand they will all be thrashed to death by now....
  4. No only the 313 coupes have bluetooth. The ragtops never did, probably because it would be useless with the roof down? But why listen to a phone call when you have flies in your teeth, wind in your hair and of course that fab exhaust noise!
  5. Jay just arrange the wedding to incorporate the run she will understand? Free Lunch by the sounds of things! Thanks Colin good to hear from you.
  6. Hog Roast? Is that some new Zed term?
  7. All in good time mate! Hiya Jay good to hear from you mate - all well thanks, will have to line up a Scottie trip with a meet also We are international travellers after all! Wales one minute, Scotland the next !
  8. Ta - wow just checked my works calendar its the weekend before ! So hmm might be able to go after all (it is ok with the club?)
  9. Remind me when it is and I will try to - just the Wales run always clashes with a works factory outage.
  10. Bus parking cool Hopefully I will have the interior finished by then so I can do a fry up for everyone too!
  11. oi! cheeky! Saturday night that would mean baby sitters erm we dont have any!
  12. Hi Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Chistmas and hope 2013 is a good one for you. I have not been on here as much recently but I still have a Zed in my head even though its not on the drive anymore! (2 in fact if you could Lucy's). So take care of yourselves , be careful driving them in the bad weather and hope to pop up with Cakes in hand at a meet of 2 next year. All the best Stan Lucy and Ania
  13. I doubt they exported to UK Pete. Yes Bronzee they are rarer than a manual G35!!
  14. Well they did take the current european cars of the day and made their own versions. They always say the MX5 is what the MG Midget would have turned into today? Of course the Japs make them run better! This is rare to have in the UK these sorts of cars seem to be in the US or Aus for even sillier money!
  15. They dont make them like they used to! http://www.carandcla....uk/car/C350599 Although a bit steep on price you can get a 240Z cheaper!
  16. Why do Jap manufacturers always copy each other!! Looks a bit too similar to this maybe but more angular? Having seen a few of these now on the road - very dissapointed - no road presence at all - too much of a Celica for me. (Sorry going off topic) That new Zed I suppose is just evolving from the 370 looks about the same length? Maybe they had a directive when the 370 was being made to shorten it in prep for a smaller engine? You can have a V6 in shrunk form I am sure if anyone can do it the Japs can and make it frugal on juice and emmisions? I think they have been watching Judge Dredd films for inspiration with those hard angles on the front? Suppose its better than sharks!
  17. Glad you are enjoying it - take your time to get used to it - it is a pussy cat when driven normally but will bite you if you are not careful! Remember roundabout+rain+ crap tyres = Scrapyard!
  18. Ditch the Bridgestones and buy Falkens instead - they transformed the car for me much better feel.
  19. Hi Bronzee good to hear from you. Night Blue still my fave colour! When they drop in price to £700 I will buy a Night Blue Coupe for Ania as her driving lessons car! hahahaa Of course by then everyone will be riding Toyota Hover boards but we are a retro family so..........
  20. Its interesting reading these stories. All I know is everything happens for a reason both good and bad but eventually luuurve finds you when you are not looking. Go for it !
  21. Excellent Andy we are looking forward to it. ;-) Come over for Manchester xmas markets this year?
  22. 3 years in january, but a few months before Lucy of course couldn't fit in a sports car bucket seat easily!
  23. Hi everyone Yes Leeroy I see more of them today than when I had mine - very cheap car for the money and good parts and tech support (from here of course) Doogy your signature still scares me mate Hi Andy, not much progress as such we did go camping in the van at Carfest down south in August and it was ace, I spent 2 months sorting the roof to stop it leaking! You were lucky mate we almost paid you a visit recently - of course I would phone first! Hope you and Fran are ok? Married yet? House is up for sale so everything has stopped, my mate is kindly looking after my Beetle and Datsun whilst we sell (and the grass grows back) I hope to go V8 next year but lets see!
  24. Cake supplies can always be arrange Colin - let me know the next time and I will sort it. Think the Wales runs always tie up with my working weekends though
