  1. +1 Mind you my old boss lives there too (nice house - shame about some bits you need to drive through to get to it!!)
  2. Real men have a real tree hanging from their rearview mirror! Trouble is I cant fit this one anywhere near the dash! Bargain Christmas trees from Costco - £23 inc VAT Get them while you can cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. This one is from the Chester store not sure if they are all selling them?
  3. My senses were tingling too but only as I was airing for the vans heating to warm up!!
  4. Its really very easy to drive a car on the motorway - you drive at the correct speed according to the road conditions and you keep your distance from the car in front! Simples! This morning I was sat for 1 hour in stationary traffic - looked like a 6 car pile up! On the opposite side of the road about 1/2 mile in the other direction another smash. A mile further on another car on the hard shoulder with a front bumper hanging off? It looked like something off a Mad Max film set? Finally when we moved again I see a guy in a car behind a wagon so close I honestly thought the wagon was towing it - odd why would a wagon tow a car ? Muppets! Is it the fault of the car manufacturers making cars so molly cuddled and insulated that you think your invincible or just peoples driving habits are soo bad now! Its winter , its cold, its slippery nuff said! Sorry for the rant but when you see this every day on the motorway you get so fed up!
  5. to the forum Checked your website - you dont do anything for my Datsun 100a? Shame

  8. Thanks for replies yes be careful with it being fibreglass, I wore latex gloves but that pesky stuff gets through!! In my case if you know your air-cooled engines the exhaust has cool air blowing over it in the heat exchanger hence heating it up and piping it to the cab 50 bleeding feet away! So my theory is to retain as much ofthat heat to keep the air as warm as possible. I've insulated the piping running under the chassis with b&q's radiator reflective polystyrene foil sheet which is fine further up but obviously near engine something fire and heat poof was needed? Let's see I it helps and worse case unwrap in summer if engine starts to get too hot? Btw if anyone is after this stuff I got mine from the manufacturer free post and stainless ties excellent quick delivery. http://www.thermalvelocity.co.uk I doubt the zed needs wrap as it's a well sorted engine / exhaust design I think but just wondered if anyone knows about this stuff you lot would?
  9. I recently purchased some exhaust wrap ( woven fibreglass) material that I wrapped around my camper van's heat exchangers in a feeble attempt to improve the heat output ( not tried it yet since fitting) but has anyone done this on your normal exhaust and did it make a difference and also is it durable enough to last once you spill oil on it for example? Thanks
  10. Superb mate I love mustangs - hey interior is almost like my '74 Datsun 100a
  11. Buy the best car you can afford and if that means travelling far then it's worth it. I have purchased my cars from all over the country btw Scotland is a bit if a gem as most cant be fussed going that far but it's been good for me , granted Devon is a bit far but look around there are loads for sale with FSH with caring owners.
  12. Seen the ads somewhere and I thought the same - like a lot of the best of' or Christmas DVD collections of this type!
  13. No any good quality local car parts shop can mix up a tin or spray can for you or worse go to Halfrauds. Re: Prep - depends what you want to spray I guess the plastic panels? Tricky paint does'nt like flexible plastic - you need to buy a primer for plastics - such as a bumper primer which flexes with the plastic, however generally in my experience durability is still an issue - better off covering in a matching vinyl or leather? If you do decide to spray then ensure the area is very clean and you may have to rough it up a bit with some very fine wet and dry paper or sandpaper first, apply primer , dry then apply another coat etc then paint, dry , sand , repeat until you get the finish you want? Hope this helps?
