  1. mate lot of ex VW nuts on this forum (some more nutty than others - ahem ) Prices are tricky at the moment as prices seem to rise one week then drop a little the next - good time to buy now though its just down to getting exactly what you want - one thing though once you get one you wont regret it no matter the cost! Good luck with your search and do your groundwork on the forum
  2. that would be very cool has it been done before? yes indeed its the club salute - Bit like the Red arrows but with Zeds!
  3. Ouch! I hate stone chips - I've got a dint on the front wing next to the bumper join - it stares at me every day but I need to take liner out and try to push it out! Think the price for the bumper respray is excellent btw You will have to post up some pics / before and after!
  4. Your more than welcome to borrow my van Lexx its White after all and I can provide white ribbons to tie to the front! Or of course there is Lucy's 1958 Wolseley - not quite ready yet but subject to timescales....... I am sure the club could organise a drive past as is becoming the norm on here
  5. mesh is either for looks but also to protect from stones or debris wacking your radiator elements!
  6. Get some Rabbit netting Ho £56 for 50 metres - bargain! https://4wire.co.uk/product_info.php?cP ... cts_id=197
  7. Been thinking about this idea myself since I got mine - you can get the time down to 15 seconds if you drop the windows in advance (and traffic lights are never long enough)!! I was wondering about a seperate switch to pretend its the brake switch thats activated so you can move along at a reasonable(slow) speed and carry on with the operation but I think its computer sensed anyway ?
  8. Ho maybe give this company a call? http://www.boddingtons-ltd.com/company/ ... 3godXyd_eQ
  9. wow Superb looking machine one of my all time faves and in the right colour! Enjoy it and as everyone has said bring it to the Hoon or at least one of the other meets ! Oh and more detailed pictures of the interior so the rest of us can redo ours to look the same!
  10. Stew you Porn Star!! Husky Did'nt have time to have a proper look unfortunately - will pop back next week for a look around and let you know. They have so much stuff I doubt they have the time or inclination to post it all up on their website? Is it Kitch you mean?
  11. Hmm not sure about that mate - unless its some 0% interest for 3 years or something at the dealers - my personal experience - I will never take finance on a car ever again - always get a personal loan or better still save up the money !
  12. Theres an obvious gag about Tim's stripey shirts here but I shall resist!
  13. Nope no bluetooth in Ragtops - you cant hear it apparently Nissan say - which is b****xs Ragtops (with the roof up) are quieter than coupes!
  14. Top Stuff Jay look forward to seeing the pics! Jealous wish I was going to Aus .... We all spend too much time on this forum lets be honest!
  15. OOoooh man - I had a '64 and sold it a few years ago - probably worth a fortune now! I was considering importing my own from Aus (£600 for a container - not bad) Oh well such is life Well get some pics up for me wont you Jay - be great to see one again
  16. When you do go you MUST take pictures - or we will come round and duff you up
  17. Think Lucy is the expert for curtain making! Jay I have lights but it got to that time in the evening when I had to pack stuff up ready for work next day! (old age mate!) Hey what Kombi have you go in Aus??? VW or Mazda Bongo or??
  18. +1 indeed wise words - the car is a very well planted machine however any contaminants like diesel or oil on the road will trip you up if not careful as already mentioned. My handling improved by changing to Falkens from the boggo Bridgestones. During the snow months I had to switch ESP off to move it off the estate but would NEVER EVER switch it off as a rule - not that I am a weed or anything I just dont want to end up in a ditch!
  19. Thanks - I dont have the time unfortunately so its a few hours straight after work until it goes dark!
  20. Hi folks I've been meaning to get some material to cover the ply bulkhead I made for the van for sometime now. Bloke at work told me about a good place in North Wales Bobbed down there yesterday lunchtime - blimey I was like a kid in a toy shop! Here is the one in North Wales but just checked the website and they are all over the place http://www.abakhan.co.uk/acatalog/Mostyn.html Got 15 mtr role of nice blue cloth £10 ! (usual width 52") Thats enough to do the whole van for when I change it to a camper in the next year or so! Ok so I went a bit mad and spent a whole £18 on assorted rolls priced from £1.14 for 3 mtrs! Great prices - check out the bargain shop . End result fitted last night - yes they are the cheapo speakers but whats the use of high grade stuff in a van!
  21. they might be rare but every kid knows what they are and most people at traffic lights and junction will be checking it out
  22. In aberdeen they have given up on Fiesta's Corsa's and Micra's they have Zeds as the supermarket run abouts! On my 700 miles weekly commute I only see about 2 or so - and they are the same 2 every time!
  23. Aye not good at all folks - I understand smokers love their ciggies and I dont have an issue with it as long as I dont get the smoke in my face or within 10 yards of me!! But what does get my goat is smokers with young kids sat in the back - we are talking babies and above!! Just because you have the window open 1 inch does not mean the smoke is magically sucked out as you drive no no no noooooo.... you can see it swilling about in the back - poor kid!
  24. ooer is that a big hose?? Blimey - I would have done a better job of the paintwork - at least got for mint green with orange dots scattered across the body! It would probably run out of fuel half way there though! (Then need another service)
