    Wales Drive

Hey some great pictures there Zed is looking very nice as is the yellow one She seems to be gripping that wheel a bit tight! You did'nt park to near the MG's did you - if so- check for rust on the Zed - be afraid! there is a Wolseley annual rally in Staffordshire this weekend - so avoid the M6 folks!
  3. Hi its not for the Zed its for the Beetle - there are loads on Google but anyone recommend a good one? I want a fitted one - to be waterproof and breathable - so far this one is looking about the right sort and price? http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/pro ... 398&page=1 thanks in advance
  4. Noooooooooooooooooooooooo I dont love it when a plan comes together!
  5. Unfortunately if they are so good at taking the Zed without damage - I'm sure they will know what to do with a tracker also!
  6. Only if you convert it to paddle shift - (home made stylie of course!) ......... .........................Feel the power!

    Alcantara?

I would use Alpha High Temperature Trim spray http://www.alpha-adhesives.co.uk/whichadhesive.htm should be easy to do but... Ensure you always keep the material stretched over to avoid any unsightly lumps and bumps /creases, more importantly work in a space with plenty of fresh air - suggest you leave it to dry 24 hours and dont use your car during that time - not good for your lungs this stuff! Suggest you go for darker colours as paler colours look how can I say (cheap and very 1980's Honda!)
  8. G18FAN - Love the sportline but it would cost me about £4K in mods to get it looking like that - would love the engine out of a real one though mine can just about pull skin off custard! Very nice husky - and just in the right spot to cover the slight dint in the bonnet!! Bottom line decals (home made or otherwise) is the way I want to go - just a cheap fix ! But it will help the van go quicker down the M56! Viper Stipes??( Naa too ford Transit!)
  9. Here we go - difficult to take a good pic of white in the bright sun! Now Viper stripes next you think??
  10. NO! Its not being lowered at all!! Van is a quick fix for now - just self adhesive Vinyl - Wolseley and Beetle some next (of course!) Re: Bed - you can get a rock'n roll bed which is a seat and bed in one - but you can get a double mattress in there!
  11. Yeah........like dude.............you could paint a surf mural on the back..............and a water bed inside too..........oh and a shee-shah pipe Your forgetting the glitter ball in the roof!! Thanks Nixy - just finding the time (as is always the case)
  12. Easy........... My first job was a coach trimmer and fitting vans out was part of the work. a) The equivalent price of a decent T4 camper van starts at £9K+ Mines a 1 owner FSH minter - did'nt cost me anywhere near £9K c) I can build it to my requirments for example furniture will be fitted with wingnuts for easy removal when needed as a van again. d) I dont like some of the commercial conversions they use chipboard furniture which weighs a tonne! e) You can buy all the fittings off the shelf - fridges, sinks, ZIG units, pop tops, side awnings etc Basically cheap camping
  13. I've decided to think about modding the van slightly - just appearance! Currently its a boggo white van and looks just like all the others I've seen some with chequered bonnet decals in black and white - was thinking of something along those lines but blue (to match the inside) and Lucy insists on 1 square being pink (!!) Maybe a similar pattern on the tail gate (a'la Renault Sport stylie) What do you think - any ideas most welcome? Note -I dont want to turn it into an A team van and the tear drop window in the back and flames on the front wings (circa 1979) are deffo out!! Something nice and tasteful just to set it apart........ bear in mind it will become a camper next year..
  14. how about .... Carbonation Fibration .... Carbonation Fibration for the nation !! Fibrecab Tec ScottSoulby your Fibre provider in silly mood sorry
  15. ok Stew ... will do I am now gettng an extra 5 mph due to the super slippery paint work
  16. Thats a great idea and good gesture on your part. Hmm I would be interested also... but where to find the time to do my site! .......
  17. Thanks for the advice folks . Pleased with the result good ol Blackfire given the 11 year old van a lift again but I won't be rushing to repeat yet! Stew no more products please my wax and sealant is enough for now
  18. Blackfire wax a van !! I finally got round to polishing it with my Aldi cheapo Polisher and Farcela G3 compound. The ex company letters have been polished out nicely and I managed to cover the drive in white powder! Washed it all down with shampoo and rinsed off then decided I would Blackfire wax it - !! Bad bad idea I can hardly type!! To make it worse its white and the sun is out - so cant see where has been done and where it has'nt - then wiped it down - result is spot on but will need another coat then sealant ontop to give it that extra bling! Cant be showing the club sticker off on a grubby van now can I! Can deffo recommend Aldi cheapo polisher - just be careful if using on a Zed! Took pics but too knackered to upload!
  19. Ignore me am thinking of something completely different (got Classic cars on the brain!!) Doh!!
  20. They are common or garden split pins - from memory about 1 inch long - any and I mean any hardware place (B&Q even) stocks them - as well as normal car spares places! But for quick service try the 5th Zed emergency service - Zmanalex
  21. tut tut thats shameful - I mean those red seats just look pants and that chrome knob just does'nt do it really does it!
  22. They are all cute folks I must say! I wont comment on owners looking like their pets... he he he .....
