  3. wow looks top mate - was it a buy 1 get 1 free offer - I am holding out for the free Vulcan with every F16!
  4. i know people say don't believe the stories, but a quater of a tea cup over 700 miles is still a hell of a lot between services if you add it all up. i haven't used any oil in 9000 miles. Thats about 3000 miles per month on motorway and around town. I know what you mean about the Zed but its not the same engine tech - love to see the 350Z engine rev to 9000 without exploding! A small price to pay in oil for a decent motor - shame they did'nt do a soft top version of sorts or put the engine in an MX5 - it would really fly! You wanna own a Beetle they drip oil every day
  5. Forget Pistonheads (I dont like it - generally people overpricing stuff - Autotrader is the best place or Motors.co.uk or the Sun Local , times online and gumtree- or maybe even Car and classic of all places Good luck with the sale sorry your having to sell the ragtop did they not give you a decent trade in price towards the 370?
  6. Loved my Rex and still miss it but as they are so easy to drive and cost peanuts to buy the erm how shall i say granny brigade have adopted them Dont believe the oil thirst stories i used mine for trip i do now 700 miles every week and used barely quarter of a tea cup in oil per month. It uses less after the second service. quality interior and well screwed together machine handles on rails rear doors work well boot is big but pain in the ass if yoi want to just move it..have to let it idle for a few mins or it may flood !!
  7. nice one matey - now get some pictures up after you have calmed down!

  9. Ho Dont forget to open the roof and clean at the back where it meets the rubber seal on the body ? Be careful where the ribs are under the fabric - its single thickness . As Mart says the Autoglym kit is excellent use it on mine

  16. What curves there's hardly any difference other than real alloy shroud, alloy heater controls and a different cubby .......why they got rid of the cup holder I have no idea! The material has a nicer feel but I also like the older one anyway
  17. Not really big fan of covers - if you have issues with fit - ie, baggy in places - may be worth fitting some thin felt or foam scrim (thin sheet) in strategic places - this will pull the covers tighter for a nicer finish. For retrimming originals you can try this place - not sure of price though? Auto Trim Manchester ?www.autotrimnorthwest.co.uk
  18. Not 100% sure there but I know the tunnel is different in the old and new cars (mines the new interior) but we had an early 2002 model also - I guess other than real alloy embelishments there is no difference? Cant see why they would change stuff behind the covers -only question is the way the gearlever section fits into the central tunnel - look at the guides section - I wrote one for removing the centre console on revised interior but based it on the American 350Z techie site (which covered the older style) maybe able to help you??
  19. to the forum Dan Glad you have your shiny new Zed - get some pictures posted up mate! re: stone chips - they all have them - I dont think Nissan will cover that - they will only cover rust or paint lift - its seen as normal wear and tear - and yes the paint is super thin on them - they all suffer from it ........sorry. re: shifter question? Sure someone will be along soon to advise?
  20. Ok children.... whats the difference between a Crane and a Giraffe? ....... .............. ...................... One has Hydraulics ................................. the other high bol**xs (ok so it sounds better when spoken in a Lancashire accent ok!)
