  2. Nice one Chris well done mate - we look forward to the pictures
  3. Ouch! Lump hammer bit of wax polish will be good as new!! You wanna get a cheap old Beetle and fit crossply's on - that way you can drift at 10mph in total safety!! I used to do that on roundabouts by default!
  4. I like the look of those Abarth 500's also but PLEASE dont put stupid Pizza delivery stripes on it especially if its a white one! One of the little bu***as kept up with me on the M60 the other night - I left it for dead eventually but it was like a soddin Jack Russell at my ankles!
  5. Thanks Stew Hey just because I happen to own a cement mixer and a white van and do lots of building does'nt mean I want to sleep at a builders merchants on holiday!
  6. Thanks Colin we had considered Ullapool and further north but decided it was a bit too far for us this time round so will stay nearer to FA
  7. Hi folks - hot on the heels of Cara's Inverness thread we started thinking where we will stay for a couple of nights following the Hoon run in September since thats only a month away. But we would like some advice .............. After Fort Augustus we fancy staying somewhere over between Lochcarron and, Gairloch following the A896 towards the coast - can anyone recommend somewhere nice and a good reasonably priced B&B or Hotel? Many thanks in advance.
  8. Yes they are a very good tyre - they are also very good value for money - a lot cheaper than Toyos or Yoko's but still made in Japan - so good sh**! Had mine over 12 months now and still going strong. Dont listen to the people who endlessly hark on about soft top cars being hairdressy or girlie - I suggest they speak to Zmanalex who has a 600bhp ragtop (the coupe cant take that kind of stress but the Ragtop can due to the extra reinforcements to the body Plus I would love to see someone call him a hairdresser or girl to his face!
  9. Nope Zed roof has a decent hood - no leaks at all. With the roof up from the back it looks like a Hot Rod with the small window and low roof line but looks best with the roof down and the 2 scuptied pods behind the seats set it off nicely! None of yer camp steel hoops either
  10. Great pics Cara - we cant wait to get up there Hotel ?? thought that was your country residence Very nice
  11. to the forum mate - coupe has a nicer roof line but the roadster is best - (best of both worlds - as good as the coupe but with all the fresh air you need ) Ragtops pretty rare - still get compliments in car parks and people surprised to see a 350 as a ragtop.
  12. to the forum mate. get yourself down to the club meets. we have loads in North Wales
  13. to the forum just take your time with the Zed get used to its shape get to a few club meets and see what others have tried to give you an idea what might be good for you
  14. Here you go http://www.liquidleather.com/ http://www.leathercaredirect.com/shop_p ... gory_id=24 any classic car supply place sells this stuff or horse care products ?
  15. Dont worry autoglym leather cream is ok just leave it on longer than normal and be generous with it. Connollly hide food or Glyptone are better though especially Connollly .. more greasy ... again leave on be generous leather is tough stuff in a few days you wont notice the mark. Common causes are jeans with press studs on or manufacturers badges made from metal
  16. Are you desperate for an Azure? Maybe compromise on the colour and look for something else - at least your options will be a little wider -but as Danny 350Z said dont rush mate - took me a few months to get what I wanted -it was worth the wait
  17. Keep looking always some Zeds pop up for sale here
  18. Yousers! Well you better post some pictures up on the forum for that one matey
  19. Oooooooooh impressive.............. Now dont put too much pressure on it you dont want to round your nuts off
  20. Man your starting to sound like me and my Aldi ramblings... Be poundshop next ..... slippery slope!
  21. After discovering my breakdown cover does'nt cover vans!!............... Anyway spent an hour in the works car park and found the problem - the cable had frayed and was left on 2 threads - I figured out how to remove the cable - cut back the plastic a bit and cut the end off that was about to fall off! Got 2x terminal block connectors - with some wire between and screwed them up with the 2 ends of cable - this made up the missing frayed wire - after a bit of trial and error adjustments I got it working enough to move the old boy! Soon as I got on the m56 - 1 hour jam at Chester Services - Finally got home - engine was over reving again but at least its £18 for a new cable and hopefully thats that! Job for the weekend So thanks for the offers of help and advice folks - back in the Zed tomorrow......
  22. Think your right mate! I would'nt mind but its been getting some attention recently - I did an oil change service on it myself - it got a wash and its been getting used more! Nipped out at lunch - looks like cable is either very stretched or stretching - got some WD 40 and sprayed everything to help it along but will try to bend or adjust it a little to take up slack - well hopefully enough to get me home (not good when I am in my suit though!!)
