  1. Dont worry you are with fellow like minded addicts - I am for example in a high brow outage meeting right now but what am I doing - yes on the forum answering posts!! :bye:
  2. Thanks Mart - its either a broken return spring or gunged up stiff cable in the housing - will know more at lunch - there is a Euro Car Parts up the road fortunately and I managed to get a diagram of the pedal cluster set up - but cant see any springs anywhere on it??? Appreciate the help
  3. Yeah thanks guys - but its a 1.9TD not even TDI - takes a while to wind up before the spring releases and moves the wheels! (Yes a Van forum I know but its been useful) Now I have to track down some WD 40 and pray thats all it needs - worse case its a bit of string attached to the engine throttle linkage - who needs cruise controls on steering wheels! Oh well lets see what I can fanangle at lunch time - eeh brings back memories of the classic cars I had when I used to fix stuff on the fly the whole time - thank goodness I got into Jap cars
  4. My VW transporter tried to finish me off this morning! Just coming off the slip road next to work and the engine just revved the ar** off all by itself!! Sh**!! I thought Quick thinking I put my foot under the accelerator pedal and it slowed down .......phew! Parked up and had a quick shuftie but not obvious how the cable runs to the engine (not a diesel expert!) manual is at home of course - so had to post up a request on my van forum (yup I am a forum tart!) for diagram of the setup Probably a stuck cable, broken return spring or something loose - I dunno - but I do have a 70 mile journey back home tonight - that will be fun! Have to bring the Zed out of its lumber this week - first week its resting!
  5. had a peep at that sight so how much junk mail and cr** will you get now that they have your details and yoru car details for the free quote - or have you all used your weekend names only?
  6. Nice one mate welcome to the club - I am sure there is a cure (probably buy a BMW or something ) but why would you want a cure Just wait till you get you Zed then you will have NO time for anything else..... Then like me you will be changing your mobile for one that can surf T'internet and get T'forum

  10. +1 too right ad cost 50p and that tune is just soooo pi@@ off factor!! annoying or what .. what they must have spent at least 10 mins trying to work out where the ON switch was for the Rolf Harris stylophone then 5 mins to remember which is their left and right hands then 5 mins cobbling a tune together before going home in the corsa..... Coooommme...ON...!!!! duuuuuurrrhh

  16. to the forum try the back pages of Autotrader for insurance write offs - they may be the best bet?
  17. Wow Bronzee they are cool - thanks for posting them up - love that colour too You forget how narrow cars used to be and how wide the Zed is today!

  19. stanski

    My first.

They look ok but.......depends on the colour - if you see a gunmetal one for example (best colour for them) they seem to blend into the background even though they are a big car!
  20. Oh nice one Bronzee - any chance you could purvey some photos - I spent a bit of time this weekend surfing for them - love the Japanese club site and funny they had someone called Keith (as mentioned in Top Gear the other week! ) who drives one in the UK and posted the details on their site - funny he has pictures of it on Coronation Street, Blackpool and somewhere in the lakes - but they are the worst pictures! Seems they are very rare a few for sale in the States but I'd rather get a Jap import direct! oh well anyother car to add to the virtual garage !
  21. I'm in the office. I'll watch top gear when I get home in the morning. Ok matey - in that case dont read the Top Gear thread!
