  1. Stew what about the Scottish lessons on top gear tonight - start in the car feature!
  2. Hmm Nissan press office missed out here - why give them the poo brown coloured Zed - they should have chosen a nice bright colour like that electric blue. The White one in the studio just did'nt look right? Having said that I think it p****d on the beemer - which just does'nt do anything for me at all btw! Even though I dont like the 370 - I still found myself being defensive against it - probably as its taken so long for people to appreciate Jap cars in this country and well the snobbery that follows with car badges! Nissan just does'nt have the market in the Uk does it? Of course very interested in the Classic story line (love the Lanchester fancied one of those a while back) the Midget - naaa too common but the Citroen is cooky and interesting!
  3. Thats class Stew!! Whats worrying is I can understand him!!!!!
  4. Aye Jim as is normal for Jap cars they seem to be a melange of other manufacturers - theres a bit of Big Healey going on with the bonnet also - like it though Erm looks like you can get parts but ............. this is a resto and a half! No backup from any motor heritage like MG owners get in this country! http://www.t3hw00t.com/datsun/
  5. Well he's back and posting at 03:00am!!! What!!! Sat at home wide awake Mart or stuck in Airport lounge?
  6. have a look on their web site on the number plate sales side - bound to be a contact number on there? Failing that call Nissan UK and ask for their press office - see if they would want it? Or stick it on Piston heads?
  7. Nice one Lexx - dont drop it down the back of the Zed now - you'll never find it mate!
  8. Surprise you dont get an offer from Nissan UK - they love this kind of thing on demos and press cars
  9. Is that a trendy new coffee table?
  10. ha ha yeah never thought of that! When are you getting the Nismo alloys for it Beavis!
  11. Indeed your right - but as usual - get into the club /forum and your halfway there - bet you can get all the parts from Japan? http://www.datsun.org/fairlady/intro.htm This is what they are supposed to look like - miles better than the MGB!!
  12. There you go Ho http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C85917/ If that was a 1500 - I would be driving down there and getting it - 1967 1500 was the best they ever made! Oh well too many temptations not enough parking space or money!
  13. yeah bit of a trek for you Ho ! there was another one for sale 500 squid bit nearer in blue on the same web site 60's one worth a look but not worth that offer 250
  14. Wow never seen one of these before - think they look ace! (Obvioulsy this one needs a bit of Blackfire on it - new set of tyres and your off! Why cant Nissan make stuff like this anymore? http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C94001/ Look at the spec list for 1969! (unless its been updated?)
  15. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C99585/ This guy has written its an investment opportunity!
  16. Have a peep at this one http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C103989/ I would make an offer of £500 max - but it looks straight enough for a resto project (Mart your son still want one?)
  17. On a totally wierd note ..................... WT....f.!!!!!!!!!! http://www.volkswagenfunerals.co.uk/

  21. Very nice Is that your tug boat also Stew in the background? Ok here is mine!
  22. Nowt wrong with my horn or my other halfs horn - must be just yours mate you need to prise your spade connectors off get them greased up and make sure your nuts are well on the bodywork making a good earth connection! Now go and tell that to your wife - she will be pleased!
  23. Unfortunately Nissan decided to make the interior from old melted Chocolate bars! I posted something about this a while back but - the the interior plastics - well they are just sprayed vinyl paint on the grab hand bit (with door switches etc) and it rubs /scratches easiliy! The quick cheap fix is to get a dark grey or black crayon - and rub it onto the scratch - then smooth it out with your finger - but it does'nt last that long and on a hot day ......... well... I still hav'nt found anything to repair this other than finding some vinyl paint - which is difficult to source and spray the cover again - some people cover them with something else - or you can get bookbinding leather - which is super thin from bookbinding suppliers and cover it with that - using an impact adhesive (being careful it wont melt the white plastic underneath!) Thats on another todo list of mine one day.......... Re: the metal door release - use some T Cut on it to smooth out the scratches - you would be surprised how good it can be - or try Mer Polish instead for something milder?
