  1. Easy, put them on a 200SX and they look great. Even better, put them on a drifty S13
  2. Its easy MPS2 was replaced by MPSS, MPS4 was the replacement for MPS3, MPS4S are the replacement for MPSS until the new MPSS is released, until then MPS4 is the replacement in some sizes Basically if you want 19's MPS4S are the best performance tyres, MPS4 are supposed to be decent but not as performance focused.
  3. My initial thought was he was on his way to cop off with some bird back at her gaff Blokes dont drive Beetles and Rooney can afford all the taxis and drivers in the world, the only reason he would be driving a Beetle is if it was someone elses and he wanted to keep his head down. As it were.
  4. TBH the reason you do it is because youre drunk, if you were sober youd realise it was a bloody stupid idea. In my youth I used to a bit as everyone else round here did, I now realise how retarded that was .......... but as no-one ever got caught or crashed I guess we didnt see it as a problem, this is probably why people do it these days too, youre much more likely to get away with it than get nicked. Penny to a pound thats not the first time Rooney had DUI'd ...... It does depend on the circumstances too, I know a guy who lost his job as a bus driver after a heavy Friday night (and a fair amount of Saturday morning), staying at a mates and off the road all day Saturday as he knew he would be over and then getting nicked driving to work at 5am on Sunday. I can also think of at least 4-5 guys I know who drink drive regularly, mainly short distances down quiet roads but thats no excuse at all. Are these fellers in the same category? Of course not, but in the eyes of the law ....... One thing I will say Im incredibly against is a reduction of the DD limit, its all well and good to say "get a taxi/train/bus" if you live in a city but its not an option for much of the country, if you take it down to one pint of less I can see convictions increasing as youre effectively legislating against anyone living in the countryside, as well as the landlords of countryside pubs. And do they seriously expect you to stay off the drink totally if youre driving within 24 hours, seriously? Theres a balance, and I think the current law is about right.
  5. Spa is about the same as Brands or Silverstone GP, but it is pretty special. Nur trackdays are about £100-150 more but are worth it all day long IMO, last time there I got probably 20-25 laps in, it works out about the same as Touristfahrten but is a lot less deadly.
  6. If you live in Kent Spa is like 3 hours away from you, why would you want to stop?
  7. Still occasionally pine for mine, mainly while on track but also realise that its replacements are better cars at the end of the day ....... although it has taken three cars to fill one Zed sized hole
  8. LOL, eating at PK is THE LAW if youre at the Ring, we went there three nights in a row last time Didnt know Spa did public days, Ive got a trackday booked in early October but it would be rude not to check if its open next time at Ring as well, you pretty much drive past it on the way
  9. You dont necessarily need to pacify anyone or change anything, you take the comments on board and move on, not start talking about how "you get this all for free so you shouldnt say anything negative". No-one is saying they wont use it, just some people are saying its less user friendly. From this thread there seem to be a lot more anti than pro the change, Id at least take that on board.
  10. Can only echo what others have said, terrible situation, so sorry to hear this Id advise you to look into what chubby ninja is saying though, theres a lot more info and testimonials at www.uk420.com
  11. Hang on a minute, theres no personal attack on any of the staff going on here, whats with getting all defensive? I strongly dislike the new skin and it looks like Im not alone but Ive not seen any negative comments up until this thread, I imagine out of respect for the time someone has put into doing it. It just doesnt work with the way that I use forums so Im visiting less and getting less involved than I had been. If youre not interested in feedback then just delete the thread and move on, personally I think as a "club" feedback is essential and even if its not positive, if its constructive its worthwhile. r As for the fiver and tenner example, I see where youe coming from but without any users theres no forum in the first place, is there?
  12. What, like this? IT looks pretty good IMO, quite clean and doesnt draw attention from the rest of the car. In an amusing twist, Wassos carbon diffuser was originally mine, I preferred the black look so youre in good company
  13. Indeed, if I was buying one Id be looking very carefully at this one, looks to be very sorted and well cared for
  14. I used to jack off the diff all the time, never had a problem .........
  15. Best solution Ive seen for this (credit to me mate Jord) is a GoPro mount stuck to the front bumper, OK, the mount is still there when you remove the plate but it seems to work well EDIT: Here we go, about 2/3 of the way down this page: http://www.speedhunters.com/2017/04/project-2000-no-didnt-forget/

This was the other thing, as I enjoy a trackday I thought it made a lot more sense to punt a £17K car around than a £35K car thats appreciating all the time. Shame, as I actually went to put a deposit on a 1M when they were released, ID have been a lot more comfortable dicking about in it as a "normal" car than the collectors item its become
  17. Your link there isnt a drift school, its a harnessed skid pan thing which is pants IMO. Learn2drift and Flatout Factory are the best, the instructors are all old hands and from what Im told their customers are very happy, they would be my recommendations for sure, looks like Flatout are selling through Intotheblue I thought someone used to do teaching at Norfolk Arena as well but cant find that, the Oulton days Ive heard are good but I dont know whether they do much instruction

Its actually E46 CSL suspension, E92 M3 LSD, E92 M3 wheels, bigger fan, additional water rad, additional oil cooler ......... and thats it, the engine was remapped but is still the same N54. The money is because it was rare, there were only 450 UK cars. As it happens I have a 135i with Meister GT1 coilovers, E92 M3 arms and struts, E92 M3 LSD, BMW Racing wheels, additional water rad, additional oil cooler .......... and a remap to 100hp and 200lb/ft more than the 1M. And about 16K change in my pocket, despite there only being about 550 UK N54 135i coupes made
  19. I have to say, after 15 odd years these are actually starting to grow on me now. A little. Maybe.

The 135i and 1M were similar but different too, a remap, LSD and suspension changes all that, trust me And agree, the ZF is a great gearbox but surely youd go manual on an M*40i, the M2 I was looking at was a manual as well. Surprised doesnt cover it on the GFV too, I was looking at a registered M2 with a bit under 2K miles on it and a fairly basic spec list for £5K over list and being told there was at least a 12 month waitlist ........ and yet you still offer well under 50% as a GFV? I literally told the salesman he was having a laugh and to contact me when he got back to reality Agree with the rest though, apparently bargains can be had on "normal" M4's as everyone is after the M4 comp pack, M2CS, M2 LCI etc., an Alfa QV isnt that much more money as well ..........

You say this ........ but M2 is still an N55 engine, the 240i is a B58 - they have already been back to back on dynos and do similar power and torque but the potential for B58 tuning is greater. Chuck a diff, some lower arms and a set of coilovers on the 240i and youve got 95% of an M2 for 50% of the money .......... Add to that BMW are offering crap GFV on M2 (I was told £22K after 3 yrs on a 55K car) and there is a facelift M2 due out imminently and I know where Id be looking. The M2 is sexual from the outside though, it has to be said.
  22. If youre buying arches then yeah, you need to know what youre looking at, but if youre fabbing its the opposite, make the car fit the wheels. Are you sure you want full widearch? Lowered and hardcore fitment might do the job youre looking for .........
  23. Post on another board following Le Mans 2007 (Jaysus Im old) But the best had to be on Friday in Arnage, where all the nice cars go pose in the afternoon. We are strolling down the main drag, and having just seen an F40, spot another and go over to have a closer look. Noticed immediately that this car is a bit different - the intercoolers, lights, exhaust and even the bodywork and colour are different. I confirm this with Yakko, then I notice a bloke wander over to it with the keys in his hand. Conversation goes like this: Doc: "Alright mate, your car is it??" Bloke: "Yeah it is, what do you reckon??" D: "Well, its very nice, but we noticed the lights, intercoolers and stuff are different from an F40. What is it - an MR2 conversion or something? Go on, admit it!!??" B: "Errm, well its actually an F40LM special edition" Yep, I had just accused the bloke with probably the best example of an F40 ANYWHERE* of having an MR2. Fortunately he was a top feller - stood and spoke to us for about 3/4 hour about this and his other cars (he actually named his son after one of his Porsches) and then let said 8 year old jump in and fire the fezza up for us and the assembled crowd. Which was cool. * The car was an F40 LM, of which only 17 were made - see here for details. This particular one had just come back from a full mechanical overhaul at the factory, and must have been around the £500K mark. Definitely not an MR2. For added lols, I heard one sold for $3.3m. In 2015.
  24. I dunno, Ive seen 2 P1's in the last 6 months and I nearly fell over both times, they look like something from another planet. I walked past a 918 at LM and barely noticed it and while the La Fez is beautiful, I accused one of being a 488 the other day Not as bad as the tiem I accused an F40LM of being an MR2 rep to the owner, but still
  25. I personally think its cheaper to have it fabbed in metal, looks better when its done too. Mine: Wheels will need to be at least 19x12J ET0 on the rear and not a lot less on the front (mine were 10J ET -34 IIRC) and wont be too easy to come by unless youre buying new. However, far and away the cheapest way to do it is to buy the car above, which is now white and has new wheels: and at least until recently was for sale here http://www.tradelinkcars.co.uk/ - call Greg and ask him if he still has it, I bet hed do a very reasonable deal on it by now too.
