  1. I'm liking the booster seat idea personally........I'll PM ioneabee
  2. I saw that! I just think that if you park somewhere dodgy and the camera is spotted they will smash your glass and swipe it, which isn't worth the hassle!
  3. That's the only thing I can think of as well.......
  4. I don't get it in the zed and have never noticed before in this car for the last year. If I make myself six inches taller I can't see it. It's very weird.
  5. I got a dash-cam for christmas, I didn't know that rule! One of things it says in the instructions is that you can leave it in situ and it has a motion detector so if charged up will start filming if anyone walks by the car. But why would you leave it on your windscreen? Surely they will just smash your window and take it? I haven't got to grips with it yet but will probably find it a bit of a pain taking it on and off all the time as I'm always running late!
  6. My other car - Fiat 500 - had a stone fly into it like a missile just before Christmas. It hit so hard it was like a bullet and the windscreen was damaged and then after a day cracked across. Autoglass came out on Tuesday and fitted a new one. Great job, no issues. BUT, when I drove home later and it was dark I noticed that there was an almost mirror like reflection of the instrument panel at the top of the windscreen. It's really clear, bright and very distracting in the dark. I started to think I was going mad and it must have always done that, but surely I would have noticed? I don't want to ring autoglass and look like a loon - what do you guys think?
  7. I was so sorry not to have been at Marts funeral yesterday. Sadly one of my best friends died the day after Martin and due to a lack of family I have been making the arrangements for her funeral this Friday. My thoughts were with Liz and family yesterday and I cannot say how much Martin will be missed. I also think often of Maccaman (Keith) and Sparky350z (Mark) also taken too soon.
  8. Devastating. Martin has done so much for me over the 8 years I have known him. A true gentleman. My thoughts are with Liz at this sad sad time. I just can't believe it.

    Sonus 1

Great thanks. I loved the Bose, it's just something that I have in the kitchen. I would replace that with the sonos and then perhaps eventually put one upstairs too. I had connected the bose to wifi with a dolray stone and absolutely loved it so this seems very similar.
  10. Has anyone got one of these and is it any good? My very old Bose Sound Dock 1 has finally conked out and I was thinking of replacing it with this. I know the sky's the limit if you have pots of money but this is about my price bracket.
  11. The glass is really expensive to replace iirc!
  12. in the good old days referred to as 'sprinkles' as there is a 'sprinkling' of lady members. (Devised by Keith aka Maccaman RIP)
  13. Gold, Frankenstein and Grrrrr.............
  14. If a JDM has been done properly, the reverse light on the driver's side is removed and replaced with a fog light. Bolt on or cut in to the bumper looks just awful.
  15. This is the funniest thing I've read in ages and really cheered up my lunchtime. I think I read somewhere that over a third of relationships now start online. It's not surprising really and I do think it's a good thing as like mentioned earlier you can get to know someone and the things you have in common before you even meet them! On the downside it does make it really easy for the cheaters to hook up with other people - even while you're sat on the other end of the sofa from them!
  16. Mine is usually garaged all year round and only out in the dry - apart from this year when the other half's gixxer took up residence in my garage as it was more convenient! This has now gone back to his workshop for winter tinkering so my zed is back inside and won't be out again unless it's a dry sunny day.
  17. I've got an oldie like yours and it sailed through as well this year! Great feeling. I've just tucked it up in the garage this weekend only to come back out on nice days.
  18. It's a fiat 500. I googled and discovered it has a secret compartment under the passenger seat.........yes it does, but there's no wheel nut key in it!
  19. Other half had that car today so he ended up taking it to the dealer who unlocked the wheel for him but he's looked everywhere I've suggested and can't find a key. I don't remember getting one when they handed the car over either. Obviously he is a man so I will look myself later and probably find it in the glove compartment with a neon sign attached to it!
  20. When taking delivery of a brand new car it may be worth also taking delivery of the locking wheel nut key.............9 months later I learn that lesson.............
  21. Photo taken from the 1st floor on the train station, almost right above the dog... Looks mental at night - decent pics on me proper camera tho. Looks like my old dog 'Boo' Would love to go to Japan....so jealous, sushi is a big fav of mine. Not sure about the naked volcanic spa though....is that why you've gone quiet Have you seen the film about this dog with Richard Gere? Very sad.......
  22. I'd be interested to know this too as my car is about to go back in the garage for long periods of time until spring and after a couple of weeks or so it's usually flat.
