lol - doesn't sound promising. Was it just on that weld and then it just went. I guess due to how corroded the join is its a case of replacing it back to the cats?

BTW the other side of the join is completely dry I had seen that there are some scorpions around at the moment which appear to be the cheapest fix so far.

This morning I noticed the exhaust was a bit noiser than normal. Looking under i can see that it looks like its leaking on the backbox side of the join between backbox and middle section. Heres a pic after the engine has run for a few minutes Not the best timing as its entering my winter holiday time

I might be after finding mines started to leak. Anyone got another video with one in so I can get an idea of the sound i.e. on tick over and normal use rather than flooring it. Not really after much more noise

I recon most of that will clean up and you will just have to get the ding knocked out. If I were you I could go get some foam pipe lagging and attach it to the wall - then you get a bit of warning as if you see it pop off you know your too close.

While they are good offers in the current market even with these prices just walking off the forecourt costs you an arm and a leg.

Just a heads up that I would avoid buying a Panasonic head unit. Panasonic have announced that through 2009 they will be withdrawing from the Car Audio market and by around the middle of the year they will completely stop. Worth bearing in mind if you are looking for a new unit as warranties might be a nightmare to get sorted.

There is talk that prodrive are one of the companies looking to buy the Honda F1 which could explain why Prodrive are pulling out of WRC (Prodrive being behind much of the Scooby team)

So you have any cables on the back of the unit? What do you mean by "mine has an amplifier" do you mean the BOSE unit or another after market unit?

I was going to say the paint doesn't look exactly right on the bumper/spoiler but cameras lie. When I had my bonnet repainted after vandalism when i took pictures it looked a different colour BUT if you looked at it with the naked eye it looked 100% stop on. I spoke to the bodyshop and he mentioned that aftermarket paint often contains different components and sometimes these can react differently to things like flashes / Xeon lights.

Note that type of Video Output lead for an iPod will only work with older generation iPods. To get the newer gen to output video requires a 'special' cabled (read as pay apple money to access to the output)

ICT also make a range of adapters that do exactly what the NIS2 does. What are you wanting the lead to do - just power/connect a head unit - remote controls?

IMO the whole speeding side of things is another waste of tax payers money. I have 100% with hitting people who drink and do drugs and drive hard BUT what they are proposing to do with speeding is a) virtually already in force To undefined to enforce Currently if you speed and they deem it excessive you will get 6 points. Do it again and they can again give you 6 points = BAN. If they don't then they can't have deemed it "excessive behaviour" so this law would not have helped. Also if it is deemed "excessive behaviour" they will have to be very careful as I am sure the number of appeals will grow. It will only need one case to be let off and it will be used everywhere - again making the law pointless NOTE they have not sauis 20mpg everwhere they used going 90 on a motorway as an example and as usual the media are all distoring that they have proposed. i.e. IMO 95 on the motorway is no where near as danagerous as 55 in a 30
