  1. Fusion are one of the best companies out there at the moment for Marine, much better than most other companies producing 'marine' units as they are normally just modified normal units which actually are no better suited to the water. Fusion units are properly IP rated which none of the others are
  2. Worth looking at the Fusion range - one of the best units due it being properly marinised unlike most on the market. http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/marine_a ... c-686.html Something like Its great due to the face dropping down and you plug the iPod inside the little pocket which is sealed and nice and water tight
  3. Yup have to say do like the Rays soo much more. Had the 6 spokes myself before upgrading to a second hand set of Rays. It looked fairly tidy thanks to a clean around an hour beforehand That said its well overdue a proper clean and wax
  4. You could say I was spotted. Blue Coupe with older 6 Spokes was me on pulling in on its way out. I parked up and then it did a U-Turn and double look at the car before leaving. Looked nice and tidy
  5. Yeah I think the suppliers of them have been waiting for stock from the USofA Think they are very close to shipping these out to customers
  6. Not much indication when it can be reset so easily. On a whole tank you could easily get around that figure by doing some good motorway miles ~ 70mph but then also a section hammering it around. As for the stone chips - there just due to crap thin paint combined with a fairly flat front. Really wish i got my bumper done at the same time as my bonnet last year.
  7. While i agree the Alpine graphics are starting to look a bit dated and don't match up to the competition at the moment I would still go for an Alpine, especially of the likes of the JVC due to the difference in audio quality. All comes down to how much you want a pretty unit against the best sounding unit.
  8. RCA or 3.5"? RCA - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1011 3.5 Jack - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1142
  9. Sounds like someone to not take your car then As others have said - retaining the steering controls and BOSE system is not too hard. if your looking for a good screen with iPod function the Alpine W502 with the BT400 bluetooh unit guves you an awesome setup. Spend a bit more and go for the Kenwood 8220BT which also gives you the SatNav in there. Not as good an audio/iPod setup as the Alpine but you would get Navigation
  10. Yup used it for the last 3 years without any problems BUT i have kept my oakleys in their pouch as extra protection
  11. That sounds a lot for a P3 - try some other dealers. Locally I have seen a wild difference i.e. £75 on a P1. As for worth it - depends on if there is a specalist you could use? depends how long you will keep it. If you are going to keep it for a few years and go with a specialist or even just another garage but use them reguarly then IMO although not quite as good as Nissan service history its not far off. The value of a FNSH gets less the older the car gets i.e. keep it 5 years you might not make back the extra £500/£750 you 'may' get over a FSH car
  12. Hmm not sure I'm a fan of the 3-tone. Due to the size of the spoiler and the two tone only being on the roof/tailgate then it looks just its just a bag colour match.
  13. Much prefer the -10 degrees I was having just over a week ago in Whistler. Will take snowy holidays over sun holidays any day of the week myself
  14. unfortunatly its not going to be very easy to get it wired in to the standard unit. As H5 sayd the BOSE unit does not have standard ISO connections so you will have to do some hackery to get it all cabled up. Possible but could be a pain in the arse. If you put an aftermarket unit unit and get the adapters to provide ISO connections THEN it will be easy
  15. Thanks to ICT its now possible with wiring hardnesses - See my post - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16403 You will need to make a couple tweeks for it to give the HU a ground (as the standard unit grounds through the chassis not the ground pin) and wire the adapter as per instruction but then jobs a joodun. Nothing you should have trouble with if your good enough to put a CarPC in
  16. If the radio reception improved it sounds like the chassis strap was poor. This can be done with just a single cable from battery to chassis (I have done it on mine for the car audio) the rest are all for 'engine' stuff. Price sounds good to me and if I did not have a free supply of bits I would go for it myself. Personally I always think the OEM look is the best unless you have major engine mods
  17. Personally I would go for one of the Kenwood or Alpine double din unit. No point spending all that time and money on an in-car PC to restrict to to the quality of FM or the tape input on the standard unit. That said I would just do it properly and get new head unit, amp, front comps and sub if i were doing an in-car PC
  18. Is there a reason why you want Double din? Cheapr decent double din is Alpine W203 although personally I would just go for a Single Din X305 if you want iPod or CDE-102 which should do everything you want and more.
  19. If your going to the effort of putting in a CarPC I would personally go to the effort of putting in a decent head unit with an AUX facility on it. Alpine would be my choice..
  20. Personally I have avoided West Way as of the 4 times I have tried to get a price from them 3 times they have not returned my calls. The one time I did get through they were charging £75 MORE than Martins in Winchester for a P1. I've used Martins in Winchester and found them to be good. I now use Sparshatts. They used to be a Nissan dealer but no longer are (still a Scooby dealer) BUT they still have all the service sheets. I had my car serviced there for a P1 and it was done using Citroen service sheets and Citroen geniune parts but it cost around £75 (I think) less than Martins wanted for a P1.
  21. Will be intersting to see if they fix it. If they do then all credit to them. They may have just missed it when they did it in the same way you didn't notice it till cleaning the car.
  22. Personally I do not think the 370z is going to affect the prices much further. They have already taken the hit for a new model coming out. I recon they are going to stay around what they are for a good year+ until the 370z becomes a car you can get 2nd hand - then maybe we will see a further change.
  23. Drill with flap drill ~ £5 bit Dremel with polishing bit ~ £pass Drill with polishing mops £15 bits wet and dry 2000 etc All the above can be found fairly cheaply on ebay
  24. Very nice - How do you find the replacement speaker in the stock location? Have you sealed up the box at all?
  25. Ah - I thought I saw an alloy underneath the sub in a video. Corrected - Yup no spare wheel - bit poor although something I have considered myself for mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=e ... QwJox4Gbk4
