  1. When the 370 went in to Glynn Hopkin for service I got a Qashqai - quite nice I suppose. Prior to that when my 350s were in I've been given a Note (OK for what it is) and Fiat 500s (utterly awful pieces of c**p). However, when the 370z got hit at my local station last year whilst parked up (by a lovely woman who left a note under the wiper and who subsequently bought me a couple of glasses of vino to say sorry), I was given a 335d Coupe by the body shop - which I liked tremendously. However, the best courtesy car I've had was for a week, and lent to me for no other reason than I performed well on the first 9 holes of a fund-raising golf day in support of my boy's school, and which was sponsored by Elms BMW. Which was nice!
  2. Thanks for all the replies chaps. I have been using Glyn Hopkin in Bishops Stortford as it's closest to me - but as I said above, the chap on the service desk is an utter waste of space with no concept of customer service. I'll do some digging to find the nearest HPC - probably GH over in Chelmsford I guess...
  3. Welcome to 350Z-gay.com Had Ham. Things have changed alot since you were last on here! Not kidding! Looks like fun though, I can get advice and a same-sex life partner all in one go. I'll be back.
  4. Hmmnnn. Not entirely sure about that. Which side of the bed do you sleep on?
  5. So, being the inquisitive chap that I am, went out (in the very cold and dark), opened/closed as usual and it did the half way thing. Did as you told me, repeated as above, window stayed closed . Now, why, in the power of Greyskull, did my local 'service' 'manager' not know that? Anyway, I'm indebted. Any advice on the tyre scrub and clutch, or is this normal?
  6. If this works I may just want to have your babies! I really appreciate the advice, and I'll try it tomorrow. Will advise outcome.... (I don't really want your babies, but I'm very appreciative)
  7. I'll start by offering an apology, as I don't get the time to post much due to work and family pressures, and I hope you won't hold that against me as I'm hoping for some help. I have a 370 GT Roadster, 11 plate, 7k miles, bought from new to replace my Lexus '08 IS-F. Recently (this week), after exiting the car, and on closing the door, the driver's side window has started to descend to the half-way position, then stops there. I then have to get in the car, start it up with the clutch-down/button -n thing, close the window, switch off and try to close the door. Repeat many times, and after a while sometimes it closes, but sometimes I have to climb over to the passenger side to get out and leave the car secure. Could this be something that has arisen via the locking/alarm system which could be cured by doing something clever with key, etc. or is this, as I suspect, a warranty issue? The 'service' 'manager' at my local dealer in Bishops Stortford is an utter waste of space, offering to 'take a look' in the middle of next week ('but don't ask me for a courtesy car 'cos that would make my life difficult'!). Any counsel/advice you can offer would be very much appreciated. If it is a warranty issue, I shall take it to an alternative dealer and get it fixed. But combined with the clutch biting point falling to the floor progressively, and the ridiculous tyre scrub when maneuvering at a crawl in car parks, I'm fed up with the car tbh.
  8. Just tried it, works brilliantly. So wasted £40 on an iPod - I hate Apple with a passion! Many, many thanks for the advice, much appreciated!
  9. Many thanks for that - is there an easy way to put my iTunes onto a USB? I have an 8GB one hanging on my key ring, so this would be ideal!
  10. Plugging the kids iPods/iPhones works fine on my 2011 370Z Connect Premium Roadster. I don't do Apple products as a rule, but I have a PC with all my CDs burnt into iTunes and I want to listen to some of them in the car. So I bought a cheap as chips £40 iPod shuffle and filled it up with my music. But the bloody car just says 'check USB/iPod' when I plug it in. Any ideas/tips on how to make it work? Cheers all!
  11. It's Black Rose, or 'Purple' as my mates say, they've Christened it the 'Datsun Plumster'.... And I have to say I bloody love it, had forgotten how good these cars are -everything about it makes me smile. And a special mention for the 'Connect' stuff - probably the cleverest thing in a car I've ever seen - makes the Lexus look like an abacus... Loving it..
  12. Thank you all, much appreciated BTW, I'm a Geordie (Bensham) born and bred, but a lifelong SAFC supporter (ex-shareholder?!*). Work that one out!
  13. I know, it's not good is it? Mind you, the 350/370 isn't the worst cure ever is it? BTW, wife also a Monkey Hanger, aunties still lives on Powlett Rd....
  14. Absolutely, will be sure to make the effort this time. And I think this one's a keeper! Oh, and the wife is too !
