  1. Personally I think you have no chance of getting a car marked at 16K for 13.5K. You may get a grand or so off but not 2.5K. While I think you should always go in with a low offer going in silly low will just put the trader off doing business, probably even in these hard times. I know a sale is sale. Its interesting to think about it. People emailing dealers saying thier cars are overpriced compared to X, Y and Z. If that is the case why are you emailing them and not going for the other cars on X, Y and Z. I am guessing you want the car the dealer has more which means it worth more. There is talk that the value of second hand cars has already stabilised and sometimes increased in some areas for the reason that no-one is buying new but looking second hand thus the cars that all dropped massivly are slowely starting to creep up more due to greater demand. I know on this site there have been loads of people looking for them 2nd hand
  2. Do you loose it to get it? The video I saw from it on the preview day from the 'offical' forum site showed the BOSE module sits inside the spare wheel which is upside down i.e. you could probably fit one to the current 350z as it has a similar sized void.
  3. Quite a good read. Agrees with most of the other reports out there. Good upgrade from the 350z http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/11/revi ... ssan-370z/
  4. It's not Premier Browns fault.... he inherited it! Serves people right for voting bloody Labour! While he inherited the Prime Minitser position I would have said that for much of Tony Blairs reign Mr Brown was much more powerful than Tony was. He has been very much a major part of the running of this country for a number of years
  5. Fronts will sit 1.27mm higher Rears will sit 0.19mm higher If you change the fronts to 30 profile then you would only sit 0.045mm Play around on http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual ... calculator to see the differences
  6. hmm would love to do the interior trim in alcantara - looks soooo much nicer with it than the plastic look. Any other pics of that car?
  7. Technically it is due a P3 due to being 4 years old (guessing it has had a yearly service due to low millage). If your out of warranty its up to you how well you service it depending on how long you will own it etc.
  8. used camskill in the past and found them to be best priced out there. Currently at just under £100 a tyre http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s315p6219
  9. If you are using an iPhone I would recommend the X305. Its designed to be used with the iPhone where as the X100 isn't. Some people have said they got it working but others have said they didn't. Officially it does not support the iPhone. The X305 shouldn't be £200 more than a X100 - its normally around the £260-£280 mark depending on the retailer. The X100 normally hovered around the £200 mark with some ex-demo ones being around for the £170ish mark.
  10. Yup -Just replaced mine as it snapped off last month. If you catch it early enough it might be repairable but i think it breaks from the inside out more so just welding over might not work great. Quite a few second hand ones around so its not too pricey if you need to fix it without getting a new system. Fingers crossed mine gets through the MOT when I come back from holiday

    Car Tax

due to the current crisis they have scrapped all plans to change the bands for Pre06 cars. So it will be £210 or £215 odd again this year
  12. Personally I would go for TomTom every time. My girlfriend has a TomTom 520 with data traffic and it does a very good job. Very good at rerouting her when there is traffic. I've used TomTom on my windows mobile and it does a great job. Never really liked Garmins which are the main competitor. My ONLY critism of TomTom is they don't diferitiate between the Swiss Motorways (which are all a 'toll/prepay' road) and the frech toll roads. Other than that is did a perfect job of getting us from Geneva to Tignes and many journeys locally too.
  13. Yup I recon there is a good 10L capacity across both. Make my girlfriends 2.5L capacity look tiny.
  14. They know they can get away with it. Even if they are seen they would not get charged due to 'lack of evidence' and even in the 0.0001% chance they get charges they will get....oh a £50 fine. I wish Fines were propoertional to damage/cost so if you require 5 cars chasing you to get caught you pay the cost of running those cars. You don't pay the fine you go to prision where you WORK to pay it off. There are loads of trades they can do. Never have understood why ifyou go to prision you don't have to work. You should have to work like the rest of us or never get let out.
  15. Its a great little app BUT it means getting MMS turned on on your account as its disabled on all iPhone accounts by default. Took me 4 phone calls to get through to one who would enable it on my account. Had to lie about using my SIM in another phone during weekends which I wanted to send MMSs from. Bit of an arse to setup but now works perfectly like any normal MMS app
  16. You can't send and receive MMS's like normal phones. The app you get on the store are just interfaces to the website that O2 use when your phone can't take MMSs. You also then have to send MMSs via their application which costs more. If you have MMS enabled on your account with SwirlyMMS its like any other phone. It also comes out of your normal txt allowance too which is very handy = free for me as I don't use up my monthly allowance.
  17. Unless you want all those bog standard apps you get else where like.. MMS, Copy & Paste, Nav ....etc etc
  18. Correction, the 2.2 FW has now been made unlockable. Once you Jailbreaked your iPhone 3G with QuickPwn and installed Cydia, look for the yellowsn0w application, which will unlock the 2.2 FW for you. This was realeased by the Dev Team just after New Years. btw, my 2G iPhone came from the US, bought it off eBay when they first became available and using my 7-year old vodafone contract SIM in it with no issues whatsever, running 2.2 FW too. Ah - 2G and 3G are totally different. The 3G 2.2 updates the baseband i.e. the telephone bit of the phone. The 2G 2.2 still has the old basebad, they did not update it. Only the old original baseband can be unlocked. So if you have a 2G then you are fine but if you have a 3G with 2.2 you can't UNLESS you use QuickPwn to jailbreak and upgrade to 2.2 as it does not upgrade the baseband part. Then you can unlock. Put simply - you may well be unable to unlock your iPhone 3G if its new or up to date with the latest firmware
  19. All the functions no as some of them are operator specific i.e. I think VisualVoicemail is only available through BT. I think there is something else but I think they are the only operator specific functions. Everything else should work fine. Note if you are running firmware 2.2 on a 3G then you will not be able to unlock it. If you buy a new one you also will not be able to as my friend found out as you need to update it before being able to activate it
  20. Looks very nice. Was he able to just machine polish it or did it need wet sanding too? As you say many places will just not bother doing it as thats an extra hour of labour that they could spend doing other jobs.
  21. I think one of the major differences with the Z is quite a lot of the existing owners are 'car' people and have the car to have fun. With the current crunch 'some' will have to sell up but I think quite a lot, me included are just sitting tight and keeping the car for now. A result of this is that there are less on the market and thus due to demand, those can shift for a slightly higher price. There is also price barriers - often certain cars have a price they move down to then only move slightly each year. As for Parkers - To me they are always out. Every specialist car I have looked at they have not priced right. When i got mine they were way out with the prices so it does not supprise me the are still out. Best way to value a car - see what else is on the market i.e. ebay/autotrader etc
  22. it depends - its probably a resin based gelcoat that you have broken but some people also will lacquer a bonnet to give it that extra shine. As for repairing it - its possible with resin and or lacquer depending on how much is missing
  23. While i like a clean car I can't justify the cost of a weeks holiday snowboarding on a pressure washer
  24. yeah its just the grounding wire that causes all the problems. Life would be much easier if Nissan just put the bloody ground cable into the loom grrrrrrr. For the sake of 0.001p when it was made
  25. I'm looking for a new PW at the moment too - trying to find one that suck up the water rather than have to take it off the hot/cold tap.
