OK guys thanks for the info. Just ordered a 305 for £259. Now just gotta get out the bose head unit. Someone told me you have to "un-marry" it from the ecu otherwise it's useless and cant be re used? is that right?

Monaco?? Wow beautiful, went a few years back, a different world!! I'm on about the IDA-X100 and the IDA-X305. They seem very similar units. Is it worth paying the extra for the 305? And will the X100 work with my Iphone?

Does anyone know the difference in these 2 units? Im thinking about buying the 305. I know the 305 would work with my Iphone but would the 100 work with it aswell? Is it worth paying the extra £200 on the 305? Thanks Wayne

An estate agent from London bought it off me, i only had it 3 weeks. I thought those covers were a bit way out and wondered what is he trying to hide? But the seats were fine. Dunno wot that thing is hanging from the roof tho. Recognised the stereo, it was a @*!# hot sat nav, mp3 dual hard disk thing. But it was all in Jap including all the sat nav maps, epecially handy as i live in Dorset! But a very sexy jap bird used to speak to me out of the door speaker. I thinks she was saying she fancies me but i dont know any jap so i might be wrong!

Oh My God. I bought that car. Got it off ebay from a Jap bloke in Bangor. Havnt got it now tho. And the fluffy seat covers wernt in there wen i bought it. It was an import and infact was top spec black with leather and all the gt extras, uprated suspension and exhaust. Went like fkn stink. Had to sell it cos i couldnt afford to run it now tonight ive just gone and bought another one! Mother stop me!!

Done it. Fk me it was tight. I think they put some of that plastic setting stuff on the thread before they screwed it on. Got my brother to grip the stick with mole grips to stop any stress being transfered into the box and managed to get it off. Thanks for your input guys. Have a good one. Wayne

Hi Guys, i need to change me gear knob. Might be selling the car soon and the gearknob's a bit worn and it looks @*!#. Have tried unscrewing it and it doesnt wanna budge, frightened of breaking something if i try any harder. I presume it twists off anticlockwise? Any ideas ????

Ok Sarnie thanks for the info. What dyou think would be a reasonable price for it??? Dont know too much about import prices! just going on roughly what i paid for it. Its on a 52 but registered in UK 2005.

Well thats odd! are you guys saying you cant read that link? Is it in Jap or something? Cos its all in perfect english on my comp. must have translator program loaded. And it is more of a sales brochure tho than a user manual type thing. but nice find tho, thanks. As you say it is a very impressive unit with cd,dvd dolby digital 5.1 and dts (in a car? whats the point?), mp3, memstick, dual hard drives, sat nav touch screen.i can look at all these strange jap cities from space! What the hell am i gonna do with that? Whats it worth ? Anyone want it?

Thanks guys. It had a radio expander fitted when the car was coverted to uk spec. I can get the whole FM frequency infact more! It goes down to 82.

Hi people. Just bought an import Z. Well pleased with it. The only thing is the stereo. Its an ECLIPSE AVN 9903 HD and its set to Japanese. Any of you lot know how to set it to english? Have done a search through the web and didnt find much. Ta Wayne.
