  1. I guess like any long running car, there will be good ones out there and also plenty of lemons where owners havent cared for them properly. Given their popularity compared to the Zed, I'd imagine there are a lot of lemons out there in absolute numbers, but its probably a lower percentage of the total number out there compared to the Zed. We have to remember that people in a community like this are not like the vast majority of Boxster owners when it comes to looking after cars. That probably leads to a lot of people knowing someone who has a Boxter that needed work. I'd imagine there are a lot more out there that have run flawlessly.
  2. I'm personally hoping for rain otherwise Seb will be off into the distance. He certainly did show everyone else how to do it today, hats off to the chap. I really really just want to see him race rather than run off into the distance.
  3. I've found it now - but why you couldnt just tell me its generated from here - http://togo.ebay.com/create/ - I do not know
  4. All you have to do it give me the link to where on eBay it says thats how to use it, really not that hard. No disrespect, I just want to hear it from the hourses mouth as it were. I can clearly read what the code is doing, I want to know thats how its meant to be used. For instance there could be options attached which we may or may not want to invoke.
  5. In that case you would be wrong. The team is exactly that, we run as a team. The more techy guys that require Admin status get it, the guys that dont need it dont (and then cant break anything as I tend to do!). We discuss modifications to the site as a team. We'll take this to the team area and discuss its merits and see if we want it. Can you give a link to where you got the code from? Personally dont want to be adding random flash to the site when I dont know the true source

    What else?

Maybe an 06 airbox, but you're not likely to see many gains for it. Personally I'd say get a venturi stack from Rich (rtbiscuit) and then after all the bits are fitted get the uprev
  7. Why else would you go? Have fun Dave, its a great day out and the live show is good fun, especially the target practice
  8. I agree. So when are you getting a GTR? Look at the end of the day, if all things being equal (age, price, etc) the Porsche is a better car. You only have to drive it to realise that. Comparing the Cayman S I had out on track to my 370z, I'd say they handle very similarly. The Cayman felt a bit more clinical which for me wasnt particularly a good thing and the interior in it seemed rather bland - although better built than the 370z. It did handle better though so you have to give it that. Given the choice I would take a Cayman S as its that bit better drive and you get the badge, but theres no way in hell I am willing to pay the premium they demand for it.
  9. Sad day indeed Jerry, you made the meets like the dyno and Chilli days very enjoyable. Hope you do stick around and when the business is a raging success, we'll see you in a 370z perhaps For those that didnt get to see Jerry's dyno thread first hand, I hope he doesnt mind me linking it - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=27465
  10. He's lurking about, was on here in the last week for sure. Sometimes life and family commitments take centre stage over the car, the Zed isnt very bambino friendly
  11. Great writeup Would love to mess about with this stuff but would need a donor car that I can potentially blow up. Not sure Nissan (or Abbey) would appreciate me messing with their work
  12. I put it back to get the top posters. The problem is most either are on the team, not arround or dont have a Zed So its gone again ...

  14. Its the 20k members group, so not just for Liam, just the only other people to hit it are mods/admins. Thats why I took down the top posters box on the portal as it was the team + Liam ian and i were on that list Top 10 maybe, but when we had server problems I dropped it to Top 5 and it was the team + Liam. Lets see if I can temporarily reinstate it and see

  16. Actually the Skyline probably has better paint! Not sure if its old enough to have oil based paints but if it does it will have significantly harder paint.
  17. G35 manual are rare as they were designed for the Yank market where they all want autos Theres one out there for you though Stan, just keep waiting, then you can come bring us cakes at meets again
  18. Think thats a bit extreme. With a high cut pad and proper polish you could do damage. I managed to on a test panel from an old banger with my Kestrel. Admittedly you have to go at it a while, but its certainly possible to burn through, especially with thin Nissan paint. With a low cut pad and diminishing cut polish you'll be ok though, just not too many hits, and dont try to get the RIDS out.
  19. Geoff has a 40th Edition car which came with anthracite wheels
  20. Only pole they told me about was the one at the Spearmint Rhino for our team crimbo party. Shhhhh
  21. IMO wide angle surface mount LEDs will work best, and are used by most OEMs, but they tend to require some kind of small lense - usually built into the headlight housing - to make them work best and hide the board they sit on. Dont whatever you do buy narrow beam ones and mount them all at different angles as when you look at them they will look gash as they all fire light in different directions. I'm in no way an LED expert, but seeing what has been done in the States and here, wide angle and SMD works best
