  1. He wont be bragging if they catch up with him
  2. I think Dave and Jay would make a lovely couple
  3. Sure if you ask Tom will whip it up on a ramp when its a quiet time and have a poke about. He rebled my brakes when I wasnt 100% happy with them. Had to do it after they officially closed for the day, but he was more than happy to do it.
  4. Hi Jay(smine) Glad to see you are in good health buddy. Sure Liam will be along soon with all the info you need
  5. TBH Tom and the guys know their @*!# when it comes to the Zed, fitting exhausts is second nature to them. I think they did Colins and very nearly had mine done there too - got it done at a local place in the end - but TGM fitted the Nismo to my 350z. Very trustworthy. I'd ping Stillen an email. Margaret and the team are very helpful too, just remember they are running behind us in time zone so may take until tomorrow to get a reply. As I say I havent noticed mine rattle, so should be something thats quick and easy to fix.
  6. Nice one - good to see there are good main dealers out there that will fight your corner
  7. I havent seen one yet that is good enough to transport a bike at speed for any great distance. I had a Halfords one modified (bought it modified) which fits to the toe eye on the rear and has 2 support legs to stop it twisting. Was a good idea, but was never convinced how good it was. I think the best one thus far is the Bird Automotive if you can afford it and dont mind the installation involved.
  8. Depends what the liquid is I guess. There will be some water on cold starts coming through the exhaust, so its probably just that. Does mean the slip joint isnt sealed properly though, so that will need adjusting or redoing. Might also be why it rattles if the ubolt isnt done up tightly?
  9. Cant say I've ever noticed any rattling. Looks like fitment/alignment of the exhaust might be slightly off. Just take a look under her and see if you can see where it strikes (if at all) when you fire her up.
  10. IMO benefits should be a good chunk below minimum wage to get people out to work. If its even close to it people will chose not to work and will sponge off the government. The majority of people will, in their nature, take the easiest route in life and if that means they can claim as much as they could make on minimum wage then thats what they'd do. You need to give people a real incentive to get off their asses and do a days work. Too many busy-bodies about these days claiming peoples "rights" which for some reason they believe is more than basic food adn shelter. Not sure sure when in life people managed to get a right that I should pay for everything they do, when all they do is smoke, drink and pop out sprogs all day along. And before the PC patrol come along saying that is not a balanced view of things, I suggest they go work front line at DWP/JCP for a while and see who we are funding with our taxes
  11. You'd be amazed at the things they claim arent a luxury. Having worked at DWP for some time when I was younger (part time during studying), it made my blood boil what came out of some of these peoples mouths. They think that Sky TV, takeaways and holidays arent luxury items! One lady wanted seven (yes SEVEN) Giros making out to her as over a certain amount they have to be paid into account old (ie not cashed at the post office), and the only way to give her payment cashable was to split it! God knows what she was getting it for or why she couldnt bank it
  12. It - HAS - to be run on Super (98RON in handbook/filler cap, but 97 is ok). You will be running the high det map and probably getting knock from 5k to redline, if not below when the knock sensor does not work. The knock sensor only works up to 5k RPM on the 350z. Hopefully you havent done any serious damage.
  13. Wouldnt mind good agents that get invited by other users, as generally to get invited to it you'd have to be a good recruiter. They would have a general understanding of whatever industry they were recruiting for and offer genuine good opportunites. Now every man and his dog is on there though, and you can pay to upgraded accounts where you can access pretty much all of someones details. Means agencies with more money than sense can harras people something silly. With the new searching capabilities I swear some recruiters sit on JobServe looking at jobs and sticking the skills in LinkedIn to get a list of "candidates" I've even been contacted on there for roles that I am already in, and also sent CVs of people I work with that I know for a fact arent interested in moving on
  14. I wouldn't recommend it - although they're fairly tough they will get scratched up. This is why they offer the slider option. And I assume if you want Lexan for weight saving reasons, you'd want to remove the window motor as I cant imagine they are light!
  15. There was a thing on the news and the Govt are now investigating this rip off and how out of date the maps are. They are taking it purely from the angle that its dangerous to have out of date maps on devices sending cars/vans/lorries down roads that arent meant for them and have since been reclassified, but as everyone runs old maps, they still go down there. Hopefully in a few years this will thrash it out. The problem in the 370z is all the other bits you get with the nav are really nice to have that you dont get in a standard non-nav. Its not just the nav, its being able to easily hook up a reversing camera, play MP3s etc all through the OEM system. And not having to sticky a sat nav to the screen when you need it.
  16. Arent the sliders just the cutouts that you see in the middle of rally/race cars? The windows wont drop, theres just a section in them that slides back and forwards? Bit of Googling later -
  17. Its quite annoying now that they've made it a lot more agency/job hunter focused. Used to be quite closed loop so was really good because if you saw people were connected to someone you work with, you could assume they thought they were very good at their job. But now its just a free for all with agencies using it to harras people to get a new job. I still use it as the work I am in is very niche and we have a close network of people on there, which is good if I ever need to hire a contractor as it makes them easy to find without having to involve agencies.
  18. No. Its LHD And the wrong colour Makes me laugh - "no track day abuse" - no but I bet it got more abuse on the roads constantly accelerating and braking when cold than it would on a track GLWS
  19. Good to see you are putting LinkedIn to good use Jim
  20. You dont have to inform them, but now they are specifically asking when you get a quote. You cant lie to them otherwise they may void your insurance if they find out. Catch 22

    Headlights

If its anything like the 350z then you wont be able to adjust them properly to make them the same as a UK car. We had a member who used to work in Germany and he had seperate headlights for over there IIRC. Crap design if you ask me. If you look at BMW and Audi they just flick a switch on the headlight to change the beam from left to right.
  22. I've heard a few insurers are now asking if you've been on the course. Crock of @*!# if you ask me as the whole point of the course is to keep your license clean so you dont get any ramifications from it. Now if they ask you, you have to tell them, and if you tell them your premium will rise the same as if you had the points!
  23. Surely it should be the other way around. If you do something thats a bit naughty (80ish in a 70) they should give you the course. For 48 in a 30 you deserve the book thrown at you IMO as on your clock at the time it could read well over 50! From my experience of friends being offered the course, it would appear that minor breaches of speed are offered the course.
